The Tree Is Up!

Hello there! Yesterday was great! My dad wasn't able to come though, because he hurt his back. I'll see him tonight though, when Bob and I go over my parents for dinner. I got to talk to my aunt from and cousin from Texas a lot. My cousin Frannie just turned 12, and is already 5'6" and wears size 8 1/2 shoes!! (She's an inch shorter than me and my sister.) I can't believe how different she looks now! I last saw her in the summer, but she seems even more adult-like now! And it's not just the height, it's her face too, that's changed. She's my flower girl, but it's funny because two of my bridesmaids are 5'0" and 5'2"! And who knows, by June she could be even taller.
It was really cute, at one point yesterday one of my grandmother's Maine Coon cats jumped into my lap. I didn't want to get up! I wish my cats would do that. (One of my cats is my grandmother's cat's sister.)
Today I'm going to work out, clean the apartment, and bake Christmas cookies. Bob and I are leaving here around 5:30 to head to my parent's house. My family from Texas is coming, my grandparents, and maybe another aunt and uncle.
Last night we put up our tree, and decorated it! The theme is of course sweets! Those are my favourite decorations ever. I'm always looking for them.
I really love the outfit I put together yesterday. I love how the red belt and cropped yellow cardigan look with the dress, as well as the pairing of the fruit flats with the pie dress! I got a lot of compliments.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello there! Happy Thanksgiving! I'm going to my grandparent's house around 2 today. Bob's going to his aunt and uncle's around the same time. My sister will be there, (she lives in Connecticut) as well as my aunt, uncle, and cousin who live in Texas. My Texas cousin, Frannie is going to be my flower girl!
Tomorrow Bob has to work. I hate how he doen't get off all the holidays that I do. (He works for his dad, who is self-employed.) Tomorrow I'm going to just be hanging out at the apartment until we go over my parents for dinner. I'm going to make cookie dough for Christmas cookies. I'm going to freeze some, and bake some of it. I'm going to finish decorating for Christmas, too. Our tree is in Bob's parent's attic right now. He forgot to bring it over here earlier this week. We were planning on decorating it tonight, so hopefully he'll stop at his parents tonight and get it.
My new green cropped cardigan matches perfectly with this house print dress. I don't have much green in my wardrobe. I've been wearing my new cropped cardigans a lot. They match with so many of my dresses.

New Modcloth Dress!

Hello there! What crappy weather we're having today! It was rainy on my way home, and I took it easy while driving, because the weather channel website said that it was mixed with freezing rain. Luckily none of the snow we had earlier stuck to the ground. This might be the first time I've said this on my blog- but, I HATE snow!
My family from Texas arrived safely today. They flew in, and we thought their flight might get cancelled because of the bad weather here, and where they are, and in between.
Tonight I'm not doing much. I'll probably watch one of the Christmas movies I took out of the library, and read. Tomorrow we are going to a local bar with some friends. We thought we were going to have to walk there, but now one of Bob's friends is driving us. (We couldn't drive ourselves, because we'll be having a couple drinks at the apartment first.) One of my friends I work with is coming over here right after work, and we'll be hanging out here until around 8, when we'll head to the bar. I'm so excited for this four day weekend!! It's so close now.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Modcloth dress! It arrived yesterday. I had been looking at it for months, ever since it became available. I didn't want to spend all that money on it though! (It's expensive.) But, Modcloth emailed me a coupon, so I broke down and finally got it.
I really am in LOVE with the gorgeous colours/print of it! They're so many colours on it, but I like how it's not in your face bright/neon. Don't get me wrong, I have my share of neon and bold print, but it's nice to have some prints that are more like this, as well! It's big in the waist, but it fits my chest, and that's what I'm always worried about. I'm going to have my mom take the waist in for me. I'm so lucky she can do that!
I'm also wearing my new pretzel earrings! They arrived today and I really love them!

Hello, Cupcake

Hello there! Yay, we're leaving in a little while to head to Chriskindlmarkt! The only downside to today is that it's very cold out. We had a couple decent days, weather-wise. But, today the temperature dropped a lot.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my cupcake dress that I got with some of my birthday money. It's just so adorable. I'm wearing one of my new cropped cardigans with it. I got three cropped cardigans from eBay. They're originally from Old Navy. I wasn't sure if they would fit, since I vary in size greatly with shirts. So, I crossed my fingers and ordered! Luckily they fit great. And they were very cheap! Including shipping it was $18 for all three. They are on the thin side, but I had a feeling they would be, since I have an Old Navy cardigan and it also is thin. That's okay though; I'm just glad to finally have bright coloured cropped cardigans! I've looked everywhere for them.

Hello, Weekend!

Hello there! Today I'm doing my normal Saturday tasks of cleaning the apartment, laundry, and working out. Hopefully we'll look more into our honeymoon trip, and possibly book it this weekend. I already got the time off approved from work. I'll be out of work for two and a half weeks. I took a personal day the day before the wedding, then requested off the following Monday-Friday, plus the next Monday-Thursday. Then we have off that Friday for the forth of July! So, it worked out perfectly, to get another day off. I think we're going to leave for our honeymoon on Monday and come back on Wednesday the next week.
I'm also going to put out a few Christmas decorations today! I can't wait any longer. Bob and I are putting the tree up on Thursday night! I'm so excited. My apartment is going to turn into a Christmas Candyland. Ha!
At least it'll be easier to go back to work on Monday, knowing that it's only a three day work week. Thursday I'm going to my grandparents for Thanksgiving. They live about five minute or so from me. Bob will be going to his aunt and uncle's house. Friday night we'll be going over my parent's house for dinner. My sister, grandparents, and family from Texas will also be there. And Saturday morning I'm going to a couple of gift stores with my mom and probably my sister.
In the pictures below I'm wearing an Express sweater I've had for three years or so. I also have it in a bright coralish shade. I really like cowl neck, side ruched sweaters like these. They tend to be flattering. I'm also wearing my new gingerbread house earrings!! I couldn't help it from wearing them already, ha. I mean Christmas is only a month and two days away! (Which is pretty crazy it's so soon, huh?!)

So Many Pies!

Hello there! I'm glad it's so close to Friday. And next week is a three day work week, the very best kind of work week! I'll be spending a lot of time with my family. I'll be seeing them Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. My sister will be home for a few days, and my relatives from Texas are flying in on Tuesday.
On Wednesday night Bob and I are going out to a bar with some friends. We're going to be walking there, hope it's not too cold! Also hope it's not super packed at the bar. The night before Thanksgiving is the busiest bar night of the year. But, when we went out last year, it wasn't crazy busy at this bar. (The same one we're going to Wednesday.)
Tonight I'm not doing much. Just going to read and watch TV. I can't wait to go to Bethlehem on Sunday! Bob and I are meeting our two friends there. We're going to the Christmas market, and then eating at Brew Works. Brew Works is one of my favourite restaurants!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress that my mom recently made me. I wore it on another blog post, as well. I like it paired with the cropped red cardigan, as well as the jean jacket.
