New PUG Order

Hello there! Today I'm going to work out, read (I'm 3/4 of the way through "Unbroken"! It's very hard to put down), and just relax. Bob and I are just staying in today and having drinks here. He's making tacos for dinner, too. I don't think since I've met him (six years ago) that we ever stayed in for New Year's Eve. We always wanted to go to parties. But, I'm just not into that anymore.
He has a half day today. I can't wait until he gets home; Friday, Monday, & Tuesday I was off, but he worked. He'll be off tomorrow with me, too.
My Pin Up Girl Clothing order came yesterday. It was the first order I had placed in the past six months. I had a coupon, plus the skirt I got was on sale. I also got free shipping, which is great, because I really hate paying for shipping! I got a harlequin print skirt, and the bright blue Harley dress I'm wearing in the pictures below. I already had this dress in a gorgeous coral colour. I love the style/fit of the dress. And this shade of blue is so wonderful! I also love how this bright orange belt looks paired with the dress. I took the belt from a different PUG dress I have. Excuse the wrinkles in the skirt part, because I threw it on right out of the box!
I bought a curling iron a couple of days ago, and used it for the first time yesterday. My hair is curled in the pictures. I really like how it looks. I think I'llbe curling it a lot on the weekends from now on.

Some Sunflowers

Hello there! Today I'm going to work out, read (I'm currently reading "Unbroken", and it's so addicting and interesting!!), go to Target, do some laundry, and meet up with my good friend at Panera for dinner.
Bob and I saw "Wild" on Saturday night, and it was quite good! I thought Reese Witherspoon was great in the raw performance she delivered. I hadn't seen her in a role like that before.
I got some money and a couple gift cards for Christmas. I haven't used any of it yet. Surprisingly right now there's no dresses, skirts, or shoes that I have to have. But, I keep looking, ha! I'm sure I'll find some things pretty soon.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Hell Bunny sunflower skirt I got for Christmas from my parents. I had wanted it for about a year, but missed out on buying it before it was sold out everywhere. I finally tracked it down in my size on a British website, and told my mom about it. Love how bright blue the background of the skirt is! I didn't have any floral prints before this. I'm not that into florals personally, but I think this print is adorable.
My sister had curled my hair on Christmas. (The pictures below were taken on Christmas.) I never curl my hair; I didn't even own a curling iron until a couple of days ago! I went out and bought one, because I liked how my hair looked on Christmas. I'm going to experiment on my own, and hopefully I can make it look good.

Never Enough Flamingos!

Hello there! Today I'm going to be cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, working out, seeing the movie "Wild" with Bob, and then going over my friend's apartment. I have the book "Wild", and really loved it. I'm pretty excited to see the movie! I also went to the movies Monday with my sister, but in general I don't go to the movies much at all. I also really want to see "The Imitation Game", but it's not playing at our local theater right now.
Yesterday was a really nice day, I got to relax and also got some things done. I worked out, wrote thank you notes, went to the bank and library, watched a documentary (which was really good and sad, called "Blackfish"), read, and then at night went out to a bar with Bob, his brother, and three friends. I don't want to be too busy over my break, but I also don't want to not do much at all. So far it's been a nice balance.
Tomorrow Bob and I are heading to Bethlehem to go out to eat & have drinks, and go to a store there. I'm excited for that. He's treating me to lunch as part of my Christmas present, too. It's been very sunny the last three days, so that's been wonderful. Hope it is tomorrow, too.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Erstwilder flamingo necklace and brooch! Of course it's a perfect pairing with my Hell Bunny flamingo dress. I recently got this pink sparkle Lux De Ville purse on eBay. It's my first Lux De Ville purse; I love the look of them. I also got a red sparkle one for Christmas in a slightly different style.

Merry Christmas!

Hello there! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I definitely did! Christmas Eve I went to church with my mom and sister, and then slept over my parent's house, and Bob slept over his parent's house. My grandparents and Bob both came up to my parent's house yesterday evening. Bob and I left at 8:00 p.m. because he had to get up for work today. My parents gave me a Bernie Dexter dress, a skirt, a purse, a necklace, a brooch, two books, a Visa gift card, a Catstudio mini pillow, and some decorations my mom got in Germany and Austria. My mom also made me a scrapbook of my life! It was so sweet of her. I had no idea about it. She said she worked on it for a couple of months, and it shows.
My sister gave me two ornaments and two magnets she got in Germany. One of my favourite gifts I got was the gingerbread house ornaments my sister gave me! It's pictured below. Bob gave me a Bernie Dexter skirt (I picked out) and he also said he will be buying my meal next time we go to Brew Works (one of my favourite restaurants).
I am off of work until next Friday, and I am so very happy about that. He doesn't have off again until he has a half day on New Year's Eve day.
My sister curled my hair yesterday. She's always been good at doing hair, and I never have been. I liked how it looked, so I'm going to be looking for a curling iron soon, to try curling my hair on my own. I hope I can do it right!
I'm wearing the new Bernie dress in the pictures below. I love the colours in it! It pairs so well with my oranges necklace, orange & yellow brooches, and my blue B.A.I.T. Iones. The print is just so cute. I had wanted this dress for a long time, probably about a year. I found it on eBay in November for a much cheaper price, and asked my mom for it for Christmas. I used the belt from my Pin Up Girl Clothing oranges dress, and it pairs exactly with the orange in this drss!

Another Harlequin

Hello there! I had a lot of fun last night at my family party at my parent's house. They haven't had that many people over their house in quite awhile. We were celebrating my grandparent's (my mom's parents) 55th wedding anniversary. A lot of people commented on my Bernie Dexter dress I was wearing. It's my Christmas-y one. I'm wearing it on Christmas too, of course. Also probably on Christmas Eve, ha. It's seriously the best Christmas dress ever. My uncle said that I looked "straight out of the 50's". And I said "good, that's the look I'm going for!"
I love how my mom decorates for Christmas. She has so many antique pieces. Her and my dad are huge collectors of antiques, they always have been. My dad has multiple classic cars, and he loves going to car shows and showing them off. He meticulously restores them. He has won many trophies. He also used to have an enormous collection (hundreds) of antique advertising signs and thermometers. He sold almost his whole collection a few years back, but he still has some. My mom focuses mostly on collecting Halloween and Christmas decorations. I posted pictures below of some of my mom's Christmas decoratins. I especially love the Christmas banner on the wall.
The harlequin print dress I'm wearing below I got from Heart of Haute during their Black Friday sale. I am seriously obsessed with harlequin prints! I got my first harlequin a year ago for Christmas. It is just the perfect print. I now have four harlequin print dresses, one skirt, and one more skirt on the way.

For The Record

Hello there! Well, the weekend is upon us once again, and I am very happy about that! So glad there are only three more days of work before my break. Tonight Bob and I are going to a family party at my parent's house. There will be some relatives there that I don't see much, including my aunt, uncle & cousin who live in Texas. My sister is home, too. In December we always celebrate my grandparent's anniversary. They usually take us out to dinner though. This year is their 55th anniversary. Tomorrow I'm going out to lunch with my friend to Panera, our usual spot. Other than that, I will be relaxing at home tomorrow.
I love the fun print on the dress I'm wearing in the below pictures. I'm such a sucker for novelty prints! Can't get enough of them, especially if they're also colourful!
