Rainbow Brite

Hello there! I'm so glad it's the weekend again, and that it is the last day of January! I just hate January and February because of the winter, I just always want them to fly by.  Tonight Bob and I are going out to dinner at an Irish Pub at a casino about an hour away. We're going to have a couple drinks after dinner at the casino, too. I was going to go up to my parent's house tomorrow afternoon, but it depends on the weather. We're supposed to get snow, again. I won't be watching the Super Bowl; I have zero interest in football.
In the pictures below I am wearing quite a rainbow outfit, which makes me happy, because being colourful just brings me joy. This dress is obviously better suited for spring/summer/fall, and I didn't actually wear this outside of the apartment the day I took these pictures. It's a very thin dress, and it has been absolutely freezing out. I have this dress in a popsicle print as well. I really like the shape of the dress, and think it's quite flattering. The brand is Emily & Fin. They have some really cute prints. Modcloth has a decent selection of the brand.

Cherry Jubilee

Hello there! Well, once again the weather forecasters were SO far off for us! We were supposed to be 12-16 inches of snow, possibly more. We got about six inches total. I have to go into work around noon today. Luckily, the roads look okay.
This Saturday night Bob and I are going to The Sands for dinner and drinks. It's a casino about an hour from us, in Pennsylvania. We have stayed there over night a couple of times. It's a decent casino, but of course nothing like going to Vegas! The restaurant we are eating at is quite good though; it's an Irish pub.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Bernie Dexter dress I scored on eBay a couple of months ago, for about half the price of a regular Bernie dress. It's a size bigger than I normally wear in Bernie dresses, but you can't tell with the belt on. It matches so well with my cherry necklace, cherry pie earings, and strawberry brooch!

Scotties & Lobsters

Hello there! Today I'm just staying in. I'm going to work out, read, and watch a movie.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Hell Bunny skirt. This is the first item they showed online for their spring 2015 line. They showed a few other items too, but this was my favourite. I can't wait to see their full spring line. I think the Scottie dog print is adorable. It's my first dog print item in my wardrobe, actually my first animal print period. I'm surprised I don't have any cat prints yet either. Cats are my favourite animal. I do also really love dogs, too.
All of these brands showing their upcoming spring lines is making me very excited to see what comes out, and also very excited for springtime! It's sad it's only been just over a month of winter. Winter always seems to be neverending here.

Another Oranges Dress!

Hello there! Well, last night/this morning we got our first significant snowfall of the season. I knew it'd happen eventually, and I'm glad it took this long to do it. It seems as thought it's stopped though. Bob is out plowing. Poor thing, we both hate when he has to do it on the weekends. Tonight I'm meeting my friend in town for a drink. Other than that, I'm staying home and cleaning, doing laundry, working out, and just relaxing.
I'm so excited about my newest Bernie Dexter dress! Bernie had posted it on her Instagram account a few weeks ago, and said it was a "sneak peek". I couldn't wait until it became available! A couple weeks ago she put it on her website, and said it was pre-order, and that it'd ship in a week or two. I found a coupon online and then instantly bought it (with some of my Christmas money!), and was hoping it'd ship soon. Well, it shipped early this week. I was nervous about how the bust would fit, since I've never bought a Bernie dress in this style before. It's the Paris style. I bought a size larger than normal, after emailing Bernie to ask her opinion on if I should. (I have a large bust.)It's big in the waist, as I expected. But, a belt hides that. It does easily zip all the way to the top, but the line in the material that's supposed to sit under the bust, does not sit under my bust. It sits on my bust. But, you can't tell when I'm wearing a cropped cardigan. And even without the cardigan, I don't think it looks bad like that.
Anyway, I just loveeee this oranges print! I already have a Pin Up Girl Clothing oranges dress, but that one has a white background, and only has oranges on the skirt part. So, they do look quite different. I just can't get enough of fruit jewelry/clothing/shoes! (I'm sure that blatantly obvious by now, ha!)
A lot of shops/brands have been showing previews online of their new upcoming spring lines. I've seen some really cute things from Hell Bunny, Heart of Haute, etc. I hate waiting for the new items to become available, ha! I'm impatient.

Lavendar (Not My Norm!)

Hello there! Not too much new with me. I'm happy that this work week is more than half way over though! Friday night I'm going out for a drink in town with my good friend. Not sure yet what's going on this weekend. And it's supposed to snow Saturday, which really stinks for my husband, since depending how much it is, he may have to salt and/or plow. We have been very lucky so far this winter, with our lack of snow. I really hope that streak continues. One month of winter down, two to go. We don't normally get snow in March either.
The dress I'm wearing in the below pictures is Hell Bunny brand. I already had it in red, and loved it. I had seen it on other girl's blogs and Instagram, in this pretty lavendar colour. I'm not one for pastels or purple normally, but I really liked how this looked. I found it on eBay a couple of months ago, for a good price. Even though there's hardly any purple (just a couple of the sprinkles are) in my ice cream flats, I thought they paired well together. The pastel ice cream brooch goes perfectly, though.

Space Cadet

Hello there! Last night I went out to a couple of bars in town with my good friend. The one bar we went to is new, and I had never been there before. It's a restaurant too. Today Bob and I are just staying in. It's very dreary and rainy/icy out. I'm going to work out, read, and just watch TV & relax. Bob is making chili today. I don't think he's made it since we moved in together (going on three years ago). I do love chili though, even though I have only had it a couple of times.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my favourite Trashy Diva dress. I always wear it paired with this space print bolero. I'm still on the hunt for a Trashy Diva dress in this space print, but it's proving very hard to find! This is one of my very favourite outfits. I just love the fit, the shape of the dress, and the shade of red.

More Harlequin!

Hello there! Happy weekend! The sun is shining today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 45 degrees, which will be a huge improvement from our recent awful temperatures. Last night Bob and I went out to dinner with his parents and brother at an Italian restaurant in town. When I go there I always just order pizza, ha. They have great pizza there! Pizza is my favourite food by the way. It's also my dad's favourite. We don't have much in common in any way, shape, or form, but that is one thing! (I'm just like my mom.) After dinner Bob and I ran some errands in town, and then just went home and had some drinks.
I  got this Pin Up Girl Jenny skirt when I also ordered the blue Harley dress I wore in a recent blog post. I would have preferred to get this print in the dress, but there were no more left in my size. The skirt is great too; I just prefer the Jenny style in a dress on me. There is a shade of dark red in the skirt that perfectly matches the lobsters in my wonderful Luxulite necklace!

Brady Bunch Houses

Hello there! I'm not doing too much tonight. Friday night Bob and I will be going out to eat with his family at an Italian restaurant in town. Saturday night we are going out to some bars about 45 minutes away. My good friend is meeting us there, and a bunch of Bob's friends are meeting us. Bob and his friends will be testing out a card game that him and two of his friends made up and had printed. They had tried playing it before in bars a couple of times, but never with this many people or with it printed. I'm not going to be playing, I'll just be hanging out with my friend, having some drinks and possibly doing some dancing.
Sunday it's supposed to be 45 degrees, and that'll feel like summer to us since it's been so dreadfully, bitterly cold here. Hopefully I can get in some outside pictures that day.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my Modcloth house print dresses. This one is by the brand Retrolicious. I don't have many clothes at all that have a lot of green in them; this is one of my few pieces that does. I do really love lime green though, naturally because it's the brightest shade of green there is, ha.

Tweet, Tweet

Hello there! Last night Bob and I saw "The Imitation Game". It was quite good, and an amazing story. (Based on a true story.) My mom is stopping over this afternoon for a bit. Other than that, I'm not doing too much today. Bob has been cooking and baking a lot on the weekends. He's become even more into it as of late, and has been baking his own bread for his lunches during the week.
I'm really loving how my hair looks curled like in the pictures. I wish I could do it every day, but during the work week I just don't want to take the time to completly dry my hair and then curl it. So for now it'll remain a weekend thing. I haven't tried rollers yet, but I may do that soon, too. It would be nice to get some vintage-y hair styles down before going to Viva Las Vegas! I've never been good at doing my hair though.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Modcloth bird print skirt. I'm also wearing one of my new Luxulite necklaces and newest brooch. In the last picture is my Luxulite jewelry that came in the mail yesterday. It was a great mail day! I had this fruit necklace made as a custom order. I love how it turned out! I also had an Etsy gift card I got for Christmas which helped pay for the big order, which was very nice.
