Viva Las Vegas!

Hello there! Today I'm going to clean, do laundry, work out, run some errands, and just relax. I'm going to buy some things for my honeymoon, and also a Father's Day gift.
Last night after work I met up with a couple friends from my last job for drinks. (One of them is a bridesmaid in my wedding.) After that I went home for a little bit, and then went to my friend's apartment. She lives two minutes from me. She got a kitten about a month ago, and she is soooo cute! I saw her once before, too. But, last night she kept sleeping on me, which I loved!
Bob got to to AC yesterday afternoon. I'm soooo excited to go there next weekend! It's so crazy that now it's only a week away! (We're leaving around 9 a.m. next Saturday.) I just can't wait to have a stress-relieving, very fun weekend! There's just been a lot on my mind lately, what with my new job, and also the wedding details.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Modcloth dress. I adore the pattern! I loveee to travel, and have been to a lot of places on the dress. My favourite place to travel to is on the dress as well: Las Vegas. I have really been missing Las Vegas lately. This is the longest gap between vacations there, since I started going there with Bob 4 1/2 years ago. We haven't been in 15 months. We are planning to go next year, in the beginning of April, and one of the reasons we want to go then is Viva Las Vegas! I'm sooo excited to go to that event! From all the pictures I see of it, it seems truly amazing.

Blue & Green

Hello there! My wedding is in 3 1/2 weeks! I'm so flipping excited to go to New Orleans for ten glorious days. Everytime I think about it it feels so much more real since it is so close now! Pretty soon I'm going to buy things I'll need for the trip. Since I have so much other stuff going on in the next 3 1/2 weeks, I'm trying to do the things that can get done now done.
Tonight I'm not doing much, just hanging out at the apartment. Tomorrow Bob, his parents, and I are going to the restaurant where the rehersal dinner will be, and picking out the food options. Friday night I'm meeting some friends from my last job for drinks. And Friday Bob is leaving for AC for his Bachelor Party!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress that reminds me of Brady Bunch houses! I got this dress a year ago; it was one of my first Modcloth dresses. The brand is Folter. Folter makes so many dresses with adorable prints on them! The sandals I'm wearing are also from Modcloth, the brand is Saltwater Sandals. (A U.K. brand.) I have these sandals in three colours, and they are sooo comfortable.

Colourful Pennants!

Hello there! Today I'm going to relax, work out and get ready to head to Bob's parent's BBQ at 2:00. And tomorrow Bob and I heading to my parent's around 1:00 for a BBQ there. All my grandparents will be there, too. I made a rainbow cake for today! I'll post pictures soon. It's the first time I tried one. I used cake mix, and it came with food dye. I don't know what the inside of the cake looks like yet, I'm interested to see how it came out!
The dress I'm wearing in the pictures below arrived on Friday. I was so happy that it was even better in person than on my computer screen! The red background colour of the dress is so vivid & bright, as are the pennants. The dress is made of a thickish material, it's thicker than almost all of my dresses. There is also a lining and pockets! It just seems to be of great quality. I also love the length of it. It's so cute and colourful, it just makes me so happy to put it on! It's definitely one of my very favourite dresses.
I got it from Modcloth, and the brand is Bea & Dot. Bea & Dot is Modcloth's own in-house clothing line. I now have five Bea & Dot dresses and one skirt. So much of their clothing line is very colourful and adorable! Right up my alley, ha. I'm going to wear it today to Bob's parent's BBQ. It's the perfect dress for this weekend's festivites.

A Whole Lotta Red

Hello there! So happy it's a three day weekend! There's so much going on in the next month and a half. It's four weeks until my wedding! Also, my bachelorette party is just two weeks from today. I'm very excited to go away for a night, and hang out on the beach, at the beach bars. Hopefully the weather will be great! There's just nothing better than warm, sunny weather. It gives me energy, and just has such a positive effect on me mentally. And three weeks from now is my one bridesmaid's birthday. It sounds like there will be a lot of people going out for her birthday. We're going to Morristown. It's about forty-five minutes from where I live, and it has a lot of bars/restaurants.
Bob's going to his bachelor party next weekend. He's also going to AC, but he's going for two nights. He's leaving next Friday afternoon.
Last night Bob and I went over to my grandmother & great uncle's house. (They're brother and sister, and live together.) We met my dad there. Then we just ran a couple of errands, and came home and had some drinks.
Today I'm cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, working out, and baking a rainbow cake for the BBQ at Bob's parent's house tomorrow. Monday afternooon we're going to my parent's house for another BBQ. (And my parents will be at Bob's parent's BBQ tomorrow, ha. So, I'm seeing a lot of my parents!)

Rainbow Lady

Hello there! Today Bob and I are hanging out at the apartment. I'm going to work out, read, and just relax. He's making tacos for dinner, yum! We haven't had them in awhile. And my friend may be stopping over in the afternoon. I also might run to Kohl's again, using at least part of the gift card money I received for my bridal shower. (I went to Kohl's last weekend, but didn't end up getting anything.) I still need to get Fiestaware bowls, at least. (I didn't get any at the shower.)
Yesterday Bob and I went to Home Goods, and I spent most of my gift card. I got some really cute, bright plates, trays, and a jug.
Fiestaware is coming out with a new colour in June! It's called Poppy, and it's a great shade of orange. It's a darker orange than the one that most of my Fiestaware is. But, it's still a nice, vivid shade. I may wait to use my Macy*s gift card until that colour is out. They are offering pre-order on their website, too.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Modcloth dress. It is one of my favourite dresses. I just love the beautiful, vivid rainbow print! I paired it with my favourite pair of B.A.I.T. shoes. These are also my first pair of B.A.I.T. that I bought, back when in December when the obsession officially began! They are just so comfortable and adorable!

Blue Dinosaurs

Hello there! This morning I went to get my car inspected, and Bob came with me. We stopped at his parent's on the way, to get this tool that can turn off a check engine light. But, I still failed Inspection for something else. We weren't expecting that! So, we ran to a private Inspection place right by my apartment. They told us to drive around more, to try and get one of the sensors back on. So, we did that and came back. They were able to pass me, thank God! I paid a little bit for it, but it wasn't much money.
They did tell me I have an exhaust leak, so Bob is going to take a look at it next weekend, and hopefully fix it then. I'm just so glad I don't have to go back to the Inspection Station, and even more glad I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for a repair! I lucked out today. I've just had a lot of expenses lately/going to have more between now & the beginning of July. We went away in April for Bob's birthday, we're paying for part of the wedding, paying for the honeymoon, my six month car insurance bill was due in April, and I am paying for my own health insurance since I have to be at my job ninety days before I can get insurance.
Only one month and four days until the wedding! And I'm very excited to have a three day weekend next weekend for Memorial Day.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Modcloth Route 66 print dress! I love this quirky, fun pattern. It also speaks to me, because I loveee to travel, and have been to a lot of the U.S., including on Route 66. I have a real appreciation for a lot of different parts of this country.

Bridal Shower Pictures!

Hello there! Ahhh, one more day of work to get through! This work week definitely had its ups and downs. I do feel more comfortable there, in a lot of ways. But, it still can be pretty hectic/stressful at times!I try my hardest to seem calm while I'm there. But, inside it can be tough to feel calm. I just don't want them to see me feeling upset/stressed.
Tonight I'm working out, and relaxing. Next week I already have three nights in a row where I have plans. Tuesday night I'm meeting a couple friends at Panera, Wednesday night trying on my wedding dress after I had alterations done, (They re-scheduled it. I was supposed to go this past Monday.) and Thursday meeting up with some friends for a drink.
The first few pictures below were taken at my bridal shower! (It was almost two weeks ago.) The first picture is of my sister, Brette and me. The second is my mom and us. I love the favors that one of my bridesmaid's made! Pink and orange sprinkles in a cute little jar. (Shown below.) One of my favourite gifts was the rainbow checkered cutting board. (Also shown below.) I'm not even going to use it as a cutting board; it's too cute to! I've just been using it as a decoration. It's on my little side table next to the couch in the living room. I got so much Fiestaware!! And that makes me very happy. It's so beautiful and durable. And the orange is the perfect shade of orange! I got one red piece, too.
I also got a rainbow striped tablecloth which is shown below. I love it! It's so bright; I put it on our dining room table right away.
