A Beautiful Friday

Hello! What a beautiful day out it is. The sun is really shining, and it feels even warmer than it is! No rain is in the forecast for the next few days, either. I worked out, did laundry, baked Funfetti cookies, and ran some errands so far today. I went to Target, (of course!!) picked up a couple of essentials. I also got a simple pink tank. (to pair with black shorts) It was only sale for $7, and I already have it in orange, blue, and black. They are flattering tanks, and a good length to pair with shorts. I also got a pair of RAINBOW striped sunglasses! They are perfection, and sooo very me! They make me happy just to look at them. I had seen them there before, but didn't feel like spending the money on them at the time. They were only $12.99 though, so when I saw them still there today, I couldn't resist!
The shirt I've been wearing today is fab. I bought it probably about six months ago. It has great shades of pink and orange, I love the style of it, and it's flattering! It's one of my fav purchases I've ever made from TJ Maxx. It was either $17 or $20, not bad at all. I got a compliment on it at the post office, ha. Also got complimented on my neon pink satchel!

Prelude to my 3 day weekend!

Hello! My work week is all done now! So very happy about that. I took a personal day tomorrow. Don't really have plans for tonight. Doing some laundry and relaxing with Bob, we're going to watch a couple episodes of Downton Abbey. We started watching it on DVD, about three weeks ago. We're on Season Two now. It's a pretty good, entertaining show.
Today I wore a Modcloth dress. I've worn it a few times since I got it at the end of last month. I LOVE it so much! It's work appropriate too, which is great. I wear it with a little black bolero to work. The colours in it are GREAT. And the fit is perfect for me. It's comfy too. I just want to wear it all the time! I only have one other dress from Modcloth (so far!) They have so many awesome ones, and they get in new items all the time, which is great. I look on their website far too much, ha. I just adore the print on this dress, it's definetly unique.
A pair of sandals I had ordered online came yesterday. I love the colour- it's a vivid orange shade. But, they are two sizes too big! The website didn't write that the sizing was UK, and not US. (It's an American website, too!) So, back they go. But, of course they are sold out in the size I need! Grr.

Here are some pics of my outfit I wore to work today:

A Day in Easton

Hello! What a nice weekend it's been. It's been sunny all weekend, which is lovely! Today's been mostly relaxing. I ran a couple errands in the morning, went to Wal*mart, Marshall's, Kohl's, and Macy*s. I only bought eye make up remover and a shirt. Which is pretty good for me, ha. The shirt I had seen last week at Macy*s, and had heavily debated buying at the time. I thought about it this week, and decided I needed it. I already have it in a 3/4 sleeve length version, but figured it'd be great to have it in a short sleeve version as well, for the warmer months. And I love the print. It's so bright, so me! And can match with soooo much of my jewelry.
Yesterday, we celebrated Bob's bday. We went to a pub crawl in Easton, PA. There was an actual pub crawl going on, but we kind of did our own version, ha. We went to four pubs. I was driving, and also didn't want to spend much money, so all I got was one drink. And of course bought a couple of drinks for Bob! We had a good time. His good friend lives in Easton, so we left our car at his apartment. I really wanted to wear my neon orange lace skater dress, even though I knew it wasn't going to get too warm that day. So, I wore it anyway. I also wore my trench coat, but was definetly veryyyy cold at night! Can't wait to walk to bars/pubs when it's summer!
Friday night, I ran into the mall. Just went in a couple stores, and bought one pair of shorts at Express. In the pictures below, I am wearing those shorts, as well as my new shirt from Macy*s. The shorts I already had in four colours. They are AMAZING! They are high quality, comfy, the perfect length, and flattering! Couldn't ask for more. I am also going to get them in a bright red shade, when we go to NYC next weeknd. I almost also bought that colour on Friday night, but restrained myself for the time being ha.

Bought 4 of these glasses at Home Goods. Adorble!

Bought two of these plates at Home Goods. So bright and cheery!

First shot of the night, this is Bob and his friends.

As we were walking, I saw these really cute carousel horses in someone's yard. I couldn't resist taking a pic with them!

Birthday Thursday

Hello. It's Bob's birthday today! He's 29 now. We had ice cream cake at his parent's house last night. It was sooo good! He didn't want to go out to eat tonight or anything, so we're relaxing at home. Saturday he wants to go to a pub crawl in Easton, PA. So, we're going there, and so are a few of his friends. It was originally supposed to rain on Saturday, but luckily the forecast changed to no rain!

Here's what I wore to work today:

Dress: Marshall's (Calvin Klein brand)
Necklace: Brighton
Bracelet: Bought at a fair

Beautiful Sunday!

Wow, today is so nice out!! I just went out for a bit, to buy Bob's other bday present, and to pick up a belt from Target. I had been eyeing it for over a month, but didn't want to spend the money before, since I've been spending quite a bit lately on clothes and accessories. (To be honest, I pretty much always am doing that!) It's a great shade of coral, and it's a skinny belt. I've been really into buying skinny belts lately, to wear over summer dresses. This one looks great with my bright orange skater dress!
Now, that Spring is in full swing, it smells so great outside! I love having the windows open in the apartment, and getting to smell that wonderful smell inside the apartment, too. Spring makes me feel more optimistic and excited about life and the future. Winter really does weigh heavy on me, and seems to be endless. So, thank God that's over with! :)
Yesterday I bought this table cloth at Marshall's. It was $5.00! I've been on the look out for awhile now, for a cute, bright table cloth. I finally found one, ha. I also bought the fake flowers and plastic watering can this week, at Michael's. I'd like to find more cute decorations for the apartment, but unfortunatly I haven't had much look finding stores that have things I like, and at good prices.

I made chocolate oatmeal cookies last night, my Mom's recipe. I've made them a couple of others times since we've lived here. (Been here almost a year now!) They turned out great. They are definetly one of my fav kinds of cookies ever!

And here's an outfit:

I LOVE this lace skater dress! The colour is so bright. I think the neon pink belt goes well with it. The orange in the sandals matches the shade of the dress perfectly. Can't wait to rock this outfit when it gets a bit warmer out!

Weekend time!

Well, the weekend is here once again! Last night, Bob and I went to Bethlehem Brew Works, and his friend Will met us there. It wasn't too packed, which is nice. We had a good time. Last time I was there I had skittle martinis. When I got there last night and looked at the drink menu, I saw that the skittle martini wasn't on the martini list. I asked the bartender, and luckily he could still make it, but they just didn't have skittles to put in it. That was fine with me, it still tasted just as good as last time! So very sweet tasting, which I love. The sweeter, the better. Also, they are very reasonable, as far as martinis go. $7.50 a pop.

We didn't get any food this time. But, I've had food twice there, and it's very good. Last time I ate there, I had a soft pretzel, with beer cheese sauce to dip it in. I wasn't sure if I'd like the sauce, since I don't like beer! Ha. But, both the pretzel and sauce were GREAT!
Today, I'll be doing the usual Saturday activities I do: cleaning the apartment, laundry, working out, going to Target. I may run to Marshall's and JoAnn Fabrics, too. Bob's brewing beer at his parent's house tonight, so I'll be staying home.
Sugar Factory opened in NYC yesterday! I can NOT wait to go! It's only the second location of the bar/restaurant to open. The first is in Vegas. It's one of my fav spots in Vegas. They have amazing martinis. It's great to now have one so close to us! To get NYC it takes us about two hours total, since we drive to the train station in Dover- which is half an hour away, and then the train takes about an hour and a half. We wouldn't drive in, it's too crazy/too much traffic to drive there!

Tomorrow I'm making chocolate oatmeal cookies. They're soooo good! One of my fav cookies ever. My Mom gave me the receipe. Bob loves them too. I haven't made them in a few months. His birthday is coming up so soon! It's Thursday. Guys are so hard to shop for! Ugh. I've asked him a few times what he wants, but he didn't give me any suggestions.
So, I've started looking at fabric online. I've found so many great, cute designs! Mostly on etsy.com. I asked my Mom yesterday if she would make me a dress, and  she said yes ha. So, once I get a pattern and order fabric, she'll be able to start. She's a great sewer/knitter/etc. I never learned how to sew or knit. I should have. Here's some fabrics I really like:

And here's some pics of an outfit:

Soup and a storm

Well, the work week is officially 3/5 of the way over....getting towards the weekend, slowly but surely! Tonight, Bob and I met my parents at Panera for dinner. We had a good time. I love Panera! I almost always get broccoli cheddar soup, with bread. It's delicious.
Right now we're having our first thunder & lightning storm of the year. Luckily the rain calmed down by the time we were leaving Panera!
It was SO warm out today!! It got up to 80 degrees. I'll gladly take it! :) In New Jersey, most years it feels like Spring is mostly skipped...we seem to drift from the frigid cold and precipitation of Winter, to the very warm days of Summer.
Monday and Tuesday the weather was great! In the 70's and very sunny! It's SO nice to see/feel the warm, beaming sunshine, after such a long winter. The air's been smelling different too, even. This weekend is supposed to be sunny again, but only a high of 55 each day. Oh well, it'll be great just to have more sunshine!

The shirt I have on in the pics below is one of my favs!! I think it's a flattering cut, and the colours/design are fab! It's a unique design- another great print top from Cable & Gauge. Kind of reminds me of stained glass. I love the colour combo too, it's pink, orange, red, and black.
The orange ballet flats I'm wearing are so comfy! They're from Target.  I love the shade of orange they are. A nice, bright, vivid shade.
Oh, and my necklace matches so pefectly with the shirt! I got it from this great jewelry shop in NYC, called J Fay. I bought three necklaces when I was there in October, and I can't wait to go back there! Bob and I are probably going to NYC for the day at the end of April.

People are strange, when you're a stranger

Hello! What a nice, sunny weekend we've been having here! And it's getting warmer, little by little, which I'm loving. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 70, and 75 on Tuesday!!! That makes me so happy. Today's going to be a nice, relaxing day with Bob. Mad Men premieres tonight, it's a two hour long episode, and I'm very excited! It's been off the air for over a year. Way too long, in my opinion.
Since Spring is here, and starting to feel like it, I've been thinking about places I want to go in the Spring/Summer! I'm glad we went to New Hope a couple weeks ago, that's definetly a place I love to visit. I want to go to NYC for the day, very soon. Bob and I will probably go at the end of April, one weekend day. I can't wait!! Love being in the city. I want to go to Seaside, of course. Probably we'll go in beginning/middle of June, and then again later in Summer. We're going on vacation to Virginia Beach this Summer! It's not booked yet, but we've talked about it. I love it there, and am so looking forward to it! I'd like to go to Atlantic City for a night or two, as well.
Yesterday, I cleaned the apartment, did laundry, worked out, ran a couple errands, relaxed for a little while...and at night, went out to two bars in town with Bob, and some of his friends. At the first bar, Marley's, there was a guy there, wearing a polyester collared button down shirt, which was red, white, and blue, with a Mickey Mouse print....it was quite the sight to behold. You just don't see too many of those types of shirts around ha.
I put a package of Birthday Cake Oreos at Target, yesterday. I've had them before, but haven't bought them in a little while. They are soooo sweet, which I love!

I had another Modcloth purchase arrive yesterday! I got a bright necklace, in rainbow colours, as well as a really neat watch, with a cool rainbow yarn face. These items will be shown in pictures below! I can always count on Modcloth for amazing, unique finds! And they have so many items in BRIGHT colours, which I of course love! I used to go the mall about once every two weeks...but lately, I haven't been needing to go, since I've found so much great stuff online! The last time I went to a mall was about seven weeks ago. (Other than when I was on vacation in Vegas, a month ago.)
I ordered these sandals from Zappos.com on Friday. They're Jessica Simpson brand. Can't wait for them to come! They should match a lot of my clothes

Oh, and the title of my blog comes from a Doors song, "People Are Strange", heard the song playing at Marley's last night.

Here are pics of my outfit for today, and I'm wearing my new Modcloth necklace and watch in them!
