Red Annette

Hello there! Tonight I went to Panera with my good friend for dinner. "American Horror Story" is on later, can't wait! Last night Bob and I fell asleep during it, after about half of it. I wish it was just on until 11:00 p.m., but it's been on from 10-11:20 p.m.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Annette dress. I adore this shape so much, and it is such a perfect cut for me, and fits exactly right everywhere. I wish they made more colours and prints that I want! This is my favourite shape out of all their dresses. I wish I had discovered Trashy Diva earlier! There are a couple prints I have seen online that they don't sell anymore, that I am dying for. I check eBay ever day, and the Facebook group that I am a part of, but haven't had much luck, other than my French Quarter skirt I recently scored!

Finally Found The French Quarter Skirt!

Hello there! Today I went shopping for Halloween and Christmas decorations at a few stores in Pennsylvania with my mom, sister, and aunt. It was fun! I got back home around 4:30, and Bob and I have been having a quiet night in. Tomorrow we are heading to Pennsylvania to go to a few stores and have lunch at one of our favourite restaurants. At least tomorrow we are only going an hour away. Today we went two and a half hours away.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my *new to me* Trashy Diva French Quarter skirt. I had been looking online for this skirt for months, and I'm so glad I was finally able to score it! I found it through a Facebook Trashy Diva group that I'm in. I thought it might be a little big on me, since my other Trashy Diva skirt I have is two sizes smaller, but to my surprise, it just fits me! I'm so glad that it fits well. It also pairs very well with my oranges Luxulite jewelry, and orange cropped cardigan. I just love New Orleans so very much, and I'm so happy I have this amazing print!
The last two pictures below are of items I got today. My mom was kind enough to buy me the snowman and santa. I purchased the cupcake tree. I had never seen a cupcake tree before, and I think it's adorable! I am just obsessed with sweets Christmas decorations. Almost all my Christmas tree ornaments are sweets.

A Whole Lotta Books!

Hello there! Tonight there's a new episode of "Impractical Jokers" on. Can't wait for that! I think it's the funniest show on TV. Bob likes it a lot, too. I'm really looking forward to this weekend! Tomorrow night I'm going to Panera with my good friend. Saturday I'm going shopping in Pennsylvania for Halloween & Christmas decorations with my mom, sister, and aunt. And Sunday I'm going with Bob to a couple stores in Pennsylvania and to an amazing restaurant. It'll be a lot busier of a weekend than normal for me.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Bernie Dexter book print dress, which I am obsessed with! I got it a year ago, and it was my first Bernie dress. I still only have two though, ha. I wear this dress a lot. It's one of my better dresses for cooler weather, because of its length. There's a lot of material! But, it's not that thick. It's hard when it gets to be winter to keep wearing my skrits and dresses; last winter I wore pants some of the time, just to keep a little warmer. But, I don't enjoy it! I much prefer skirts and dresses, which is I'm sure, obvious to readers.

Pink & Pies

Hello there! Today I'm doing the normal Saturday things I do: clean the apartment, laundry, and working out. Bob and I are going out to dinner with his parents and brother in town. After that I think Bob and I are going to the movies to see "Gone Girl". We probably haven't been to the movies in close to a year. We much prefer to watch movies at home, where it's cheaper and less annoying. By less annoying I mean we don't have to deal with people in the theater who can be loud and/or obnoxious.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress my mom made me a year ago. I already had this fabric but with a blue background in a dress from Modcloth, which I love dearly. They also make this fabric with a light yellow background. In my opinion, you can never have too many dresses or skirts with food prints! Last year I wore my Modcloth pie dress to Thanksgiving, and I think it was perfect for that day! I may do it again, ha.

Another Gingham Dress

Hello there! I can't wait for the weekend. I don't have too much planned for it yet though, except that Saturday night I think Bob and I are meeting his parents and brother at a local restaurant for dinner. But, next weekend will be great; next Saturday I'm going shopping in Pennsylvania with my mom and sister. The first town we are going to is two hours away, and then the next town is a half hour from there. We are going to look for Halloween & Christmas decorations. Our first stop is my favourite store out there. They hand make their items, and they have a very old look to them. I have a few of their Halloween, Christmas, & Easter decorations.
The day after that I'm going to Bethlehem, PA with Bob for the day. We are going to eat at one of my favourite restaurants, and also I'm going to look for Christmas decorations at a couple stores. So, next weekend will be quite busy. I like that this weekend won't be busy, because I don't like having busy weekends in a row.
The lighting in the pictures below isn't too great; it was overcast when we took them. I had recently got this dress in yellow and white gingham, and loved it. I had been thinking of ordering the yellow and/or pink for months, maybe a year before I actually did. I suspected this size would be tight in the bust, so I sized up. It's a good thing I did, because it just fits in that area. Before I purchased these dresses, I hadn't bought anything plaid in a very long time. I do like gingham more than regular plaid though. And I love the shape of these dresses, they are typical Hell Bunny dress with the full skirts.

A Connecticut Trip

Hello there! Bob and I had a really good time visiting my sister yesterday in Connecticut. She moved to a different apartment in May, but still lives in the same town. She now lives in an apartment in a big old house. It really looks like it could be a quaint bed & breakfast. She lives in quite a pretty town. It feels like a small town, but there's a lot more things to do there, than there are in the town we grew up in. Her boyfriend had to go to NYC for work for the weekend, so he wasn't there.
When we arrived we got the tour of her apartment, and shortly after we left for a bigger town about fifteen minutes away. We got lunch at a restaurant/bar called Bar. I had been there once before with my sister, for drinks. We got pizza, which was really good, even though it was thin crust, and I prefer normal to thick crust. Just like at most pizza places in Connecticut, you can't order pizza by the slice. Actually in many states I've been in you can't find a pizza place to order by the slice, just pies, which to me is very weird! After that we walked to a nearby bar for a couple drinks. I liked that bar a lot, it was nice inside, and quiet. The bartender was very nice, too. Then we went to a vintage store, but I didn't find anything. After that we went back to the town she lives in. We went to a couple of stores and got ice cream at a famous ice cream shop. We got dinner after that in her town. I wasn't very hungry, so I just had soup and a pumpkin martini. The soup was alright, and the martini was excellent! I had never had a pumpkin martini before. We went home after that, and got home around 9:30 p.m.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Modcloth Route 66 dress. Now that it's a little cooler out, I have been wearing my cropped cardigans with dresses and skirts all the time. I have quite a few of them, but I get so much use out of them! I love how they look with a belt, they really pull my look together, I think they're flattering, and it keeps me a little bit warmer. I actually just ordered an orange one today, which I'm excited about! It's a nice, vibrant shade of orange, and I have been looking for this Old Navy one for so long. I finally snagged one on Poshmark.com.

Red Is My Staple

Hello there! Bob and I are leaving soon to go to Connecticut for the day to visit my sister. It's rainy and dreary out, but hopefully it will clear up soon. It's about a two hour drive each way.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my three Trashy Diva dresses. This style is low cut, so I would usually wear it with a bandeau, as I am in these pictures. I love wearing red! To me solid red dresses are to what black dresses are to other women. I don't own a single solid black dress. It's just not "me"! Red dresses are my staples. I have three solid red dresses so far. I've also been told red looks best on me. I think my strawberry brooch is just perfect paired with this outfit.
I really wish there was a Trashy Diva store by me! Their dresses and skirts have such a great shape, that's perfect for my body type. I look online at their website a lot, but haven't ordered anything yet from it. I also look on eBay every day for their clothing, but some of the older styles I'm looking for seem to be impossible to get!

Another Handmade Dress!

Hello there! Tonight I went to Panera for dinner with my good friend. Then I ran to Kohl's to return something. Saturday Bob and I are going to Connecticut for the day, to visit my sister. I haven't gone since March, and Bob hasn't gone in over a year. On Sunday we are hopefully seeing "Gone Girl." I really wan to see it! I haven't read the book. We have a theater five minutes away from us. Bob and I almost never go to the movies. We much prefer to watch movies at home. But, this movie is not On Demand yet on our TV, and I dont want to wait for months, since I've heard such good things.
The quality in the pictures below isn't too good; it was dark out by the time I picked up this dress from my mom, so we couldn't take pictures outside. So, my mom made this dress! I adore the shape of the dress. I have one other dress she made me in this same shape. I think in the future I will have her make more in this shape, as I prefer it to the other shape I have had her make for me. The other one has a straighter skirt, but I really do prefer a fuller skirt. The fuller skirt one takes another yard of fabric though; that's why I was having her make me the straight skirt one, it's cheaper!
I already had this same exact print as this dress in a Bea & Dot brand skirt I got from Modcloth! I just love the fabric so much, that I wanted it in a dress as well, ha! I know; I'm kind of wacky. It's just hard to find prints this cute & colourful! The best thing about this print is that so many cardigans, belts, jewelry & shoes match with it. I have so many options, ha.

Rainbow Harlequin

Hello there!
In the pictures below I'm wearing another dress I bought with some of my birthday money. I really lucked out with the three I received so far, I love them all! I had thought about ordering this dress for awhile, but wasn't sure how bright it would look in person (obviously, I love clothes to be pretty bright!), and also wasn't sure how the sizing ran with this brand (Heart of Haute). The dress is a little big in the waist, but the chest fits. Just like my other dresses that are big in the waist, wearing a belt with it solves the problem! Also, I was happily surprised to see that the dress was quite bright, in spite of some of the colours in the dress being black, tan, and ivory.
This dress also is a great length. This is to me, the perfect length. It also has a nice, full skirt.
I love the cropped sweater and belt I paired the dress with. The pink and orange of the sweater and belt match almost perfectly with the shades of pink & orange in the dress. Also, pink & orange are my favourite colour combo, so I love wearing them together.
