Hello there! This week is a fairly quiet one for me. I'm meeting a friend for lunch on Saturday. This past weekend was busier than usual for me, with a lot of family time. I saw my sister for the first time since Christmas. I went with her and my mom to look at a couple of wedding venues on Friday. Saturday Bob and I went to my parent's house for my grandmother's 90th birthday party. As long as my mind is okay and my health, I hope I make it that long! We do have really good genes/longevity on both sides of the family, so that's a great thing. I can't imagine how it feels though to have lived almost a whole century; what a lot of change, and hopefully progress you must see! Hopefully I see more progress in my lifetime than my grandmother has seen.
Trashy Diva launched a new collection today, but unfortunately, I don't care for the new print, so I won't be buying anything. TD is my favorite vintage repro brand, and I always am very excited for new launches! So, it was disappointing for me, but good for my wallet, ha.
The background color is olive green, which is not a color I like, and the print itself is of bicycles and mimes, with a lot of white in it. Oh well, hopefully I love the next launch!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Heart of Haute harlequin dress. I got this dress a couple of years or so ago, and still ADORE this print! Harlequin is one of my favorite prints, period, and I really love this bright color palette. My Splendette purple & teal bangles match the dress really well. I don't wear much purple at all, so I don't get to wear my Splendette purple bangles too often. I'm also wearing my Shoe Bakery ice cream flats in these pics. These were my first Shoe Bakery shoes, probably about three years ago. I have one other pair of SB flats currently. Their shoes are so darn cute!
Oh, and Bob cut my hair about a week ago, so, when curly, it's super short now! I'm so lucky I have an amazing man who cuts my hair and cooks for me!!

Hello there! Well, tomorrow is SPRING!!! I'm so glad about that. It seemed to take so long to get here. Now, if only the weather would warm up considerably, that'd be terrific!
Yesterday I had a dental cleaning (ugh!), but was glad to hear I didn't have to come back for any work! That doesn't happen to me very often, and one big reason is because I grind my teeth when I sleep, and was damaging my existing fillings, and kept needing them fixed.
Last night Bob and I went out for a couple of drinks. The first couple places we tried to go to didn't pan out; one place had a packed bar, and one was closed already. So, we just went to Applebee's, even though I'm not a fan of that place. We originally were going to go to Bethlehem yesterday afternoon, but it was supposed to snow, so we didn't do that. Of course it ended up not accumulating at all; we only got flurries.
This coming week I have more plans than usual: Monday I'm meeting a friend for dinner after work, Friday I'm meeting up with a friend, and Saturday night Bob and I are going to his parents' house, and he'll be cooking us tacos there.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my Heart of Haute harlequin dresses. Out of all my harlequin dresses, this color scheme is my favorite. I got the dress a couple of years or so ago. It's quite comfortable, too. I love these purple & teal Splendette bangles together.

Hello there! Two more days of work to get through, and then I am in full on vacation mode! My mind is already somewhat in that mode I must admit, ha. I'm seeing my friend Thursday after work for a drink, but other than that don't have plans between now and when we leave Friday morning. I did a lot of packing over the weekend, so I don't have much more to do for that.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Bernie Dexter dress I snagged during the Pin Up Girl Clothing 20% off 4th of July sale. I thought about getting this dress ever since it came out on Bernie's site months ago, but never went through with it. The Kelly is my favorite style of her dresses, and I can't resist a Kelly with a good print! I'm also a big lover of gingham, and green gingham is not so common. I sized up a size in this one because I wanted more room in the bust (my other Kellys are all a size smaller). It's definitely much easier to zip over my chest in this size (and bonus: I can zip it without the help of my husband), and is bigger in the waist, but the belt hides that.

Hello there! It's officially only one week until I am on a plane, Vegas bound! Wow! I'm so happy that it's that soon. I've been chatting with some ladies that I will be meeting up with there, and I know this Viva experience will be better than my last one, because I'll be hanging out with more lovely ladies than last time. Three of the girls I'll be seeing will be at Viva for the first time, and I'm looking forward to seeing their reactions. I've been looking up the weather forecast for while we're there, and it looks perfect. It's actually hotter there right now then it will be the whole time we're there. It's cooling down a bit just in time. The highs are supposed to range from 70-80 while we're there, which those are my ideal temperatures.
Not too much else is going on with me right now....Friday night I'm meeting a couple of my friends for a drink after work, and Sunday I'll be meeting another friend at Panera.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Emily & Fin dress I got at Modcloth a couple of years ago. I'm wearing my new Shoe Bakery flats with it, and my new popsicle brooch from Get Rich Slow Co. They have an Etsy shop. This dress is pretty darn perfect. It's so flattering, and of course I really love the rainbow stripes. I have this dress in a popsicle print, as well. The two dresses are light, and are especially great to wear in the summertime.

Hello there! Bob and I had a good time in Bethlehem yesterday. I bought an Easter ornament at the Moravian Bookstore. I was hoping they'd have more Easter things there, but they had hardly anything; maybe they're still waiting on Easter stock to arrive, as it's still a little ways away. Luckily, we got to Brew Works before it got really busy (there always seems to be a wait at dinnertime Friday & Saturday there). I really enjoy going to Bethlehem. It's only an hour away, and it's really pretty there. It's an old German town.
I've been having a very lucky past couple weeks or so, as I scored another one of my unicorns recently. The dress I'm wearing in the pictures below is the Trashy Diva French Quarter Annette dress. I have the French Quarter print skirt, but I wanted the dress instead. Also, the skirt was always very tight on me. I happened to pop on Poshmark a few days ago (I almost never go on), and they usually have almost no TD on their site, but this time, they had this dress! It's a bigger size than I am in TD, but since I knew the French Quarter line ran so small, I snagged it. It's a little big in the waist, but not super huge. I can even zip it by myself (which is impossible with most of my other TD dresses)! I like the dress so much better than the skirt. The Annette style is one of my favorites; I have 4 now in this style. I'm trying to trade my skirt now for one of two other hard to find TD prints, but if that doesn't happen, I'll just sell it. I know it'll sell right away too, as it's one of the most sought after TD prints. I couldn't believe my luck, that I found this dress righ after I found my rockets dress! This was also a great price, and in like new condition.

Hello there! I don't have plans for today, other than the usual tasks I do on Saturdays, and Bob's working. Tomorrow Bob and I are supposed to see "Joy" at the movies. I don't like going to the movies, I'd much rather watch movies at home, but unfortunately, "Joy" isn't available on demand yet. Bob doesn't like going to the movies either. Another reason I don't like this time of year, is that it's too cold and gross to go on day trips on the weekend. Once March comes, we'll start going places on the weekend again, like New Hope and NYC. We haven't been to NYC since June, and I really want to go back, to go to Enz's (a store), Otto's Shrunken Head (tiki bar), and the Bagel Store (which sells rainbow bagels! We've never been there before). We still go to Bethlehem in the winter, since we don't have to walk around there. We just park right by the restaurant and the one shop that I love.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Folter brand junk food dress that I got from Modcloth about two and a half years ago. I remember debating ordering it for months, because even though I adored the print, I didn't know if I'd feel comfortable wearing something so "loud". Ha! How times have changed...because obviously now I'm very comfortable wearing "loud" outfits. Even though I still dislike the stares I get. I got this cropped Heart of Haute sweater from Retro Glam, during one of their great sales. I already had two red cropped cardigans, but they are more of a dark, dull red. This bright shade is great to match with a lot of my outfits.

Hello there! Bob and I had a nice outing to Bethlehem, PA on Sunday. The weather was simply amazing! I left my jacket in the car, and only wore a cropped cardi over my dress. First we went to the Christmas Market, then we went over to Main Street, and went in some stores there, and also went to the few Christmas stands they had set up. I found a few small items: an ornament, a spatula, some dip mix, and a dish towel. The Christmas Market isn't great. It's something to do, but they don't have much either of us are interested in. They actually barely have any Christmas-y items! It's so drastically different from the Christmas Markets in Germany (I've been there once). But, it was still nice to have a little day trip.
Monday night I went to Panera with my good friend. I actually hadn't seen her in three weeks, which is a lot for us. But, she had moved December 1st, to about 45 minutes away from me. She had been living in the same town as me. We had a lot to catch up on.
Tomorrow night Bob and I are meeting my parents are my great uncle's house to have cake for his birthday. I don't really have plans yet for this weekend, but that's fine with me. Next Wednesday-Friday I'll be seeing my family. I'm sleeping over my parent's on Christmas Eve again.
In the first few pictures below I'm wearing a dress my mom made for me a year ago. If you can't see the print too well, it has desserts all over it, pies, cookies, ice cream, etc. It's very appropriate for the season. The pictures below that were taken when Bob and I went to Bethlehem on Sunday. The last picture is of my new B.A.I.T. Footwear shoes that came today. I had been wanting kelly green BAITs foreverrr, and they finally started making them again! I love them, and can't wait to style them. The saddle shoes are my first pair of saddle shoes, and my mom is actually giving them to me for Christmas.

Hello there! Today I'm going to be cleaning, doing laundry, working out, reading, etc... and then at night Bob and I are meeting up with a friend. Last night we just had a quiet night in, watched TV, and ran a couple of errands.
Viva Las Vegas is five months from today, but who's counting, ha? We haven't booked our trip yet, and Bob hasn't even given me a 100% answer yet, but I just know he'll end up saying yes, ha. He knows how badly I want to go back. He likes Vegas a lot too, and we've been there together five times now. This time we'll spend more time at Viva Las Vegas than we did last time. I also really want to go back because some girls I have met will be attending! I'd like to meet more people too, but it's hard because I'm shy. Last year most of the people I talked to were ones who said something to me first. I asked for pictures with a couple of ladies I recognized from Instagram, but I was nervous to do it. I hope this year I'll feel a little more comfortable.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new red Pin Up Girl Clothing peasant top, and my Heart of Haute nesting dolls skirt. I'm so glad this top finally restocked! I really wish they'd come out with more bright colours soon. I have it in lime green and white, as well. It's my favourite style of shirt, it's flattering and comfortable, and I can add a bandeau under it to wear to work. This one matches well with a lot of my skirts. I've been wearing my new fruit necklace as much as possible!

Hello there! Bob and I had a good time yesterday in Bethlehem. I got what I always order at Brew Works, Bavarian pretzels and beer cheese soup dip. It's one of my favourite meals ever. I've only ordered it at one other German restaurant, and it wasn't nearly as good there. After we had dinner and a couple of drinks there, we went to the Moravian Book Store. We looked around, but didn't buy anything. Then we headed over to the nearby casino. I didn't gamble at all, just had a couple of drinks. Bob gambled a bit at a slot machine. He's more into gambling than I am, that's for sure, ha. Bethlehem is a really nice, old German town with mom and pop little shops and restaurants, as well as the casino. It's an hour away from us, so it's a great place to take a day trip to on the weekends. Brew Works is my favourite restaurant in our area. We don't go out to eat much at all, so I really enjoy it when we do.
In my last post, I posted about my Moais in Space skirt, and I paired it with my lime green peasant top. This is another skirt that pairs perfectly with that top. I got this skirt for a steal a few months ago. It was $25 including shipping from Australia! It's big on me, but not so huge it falls off. It was more than worth the price. The print is just so cute and perfect for me.

Hello there! Today Bob & I are just staying home. I'm going to work out, read, and just watch TV/relax. He's going to be doing some cooking and baking, like he always does on Sundays. Yesterday I cleaned, did laundry, worked out, read, watched TV, and met my friend for a couple of hours. We went to Marshall's & Kohl's. I didn't buy anything at either store; I didn't see anything I really liked. But, that's pretty typical for those stores. I used to buy a lot of things from both of those stores, but my style has changed considerably since then. I still do like to check out the housewares section though at both places. It's been a pretty quiet weekend, but this coming weeked Bob & I will be in Massachusetts for the New England Shake-Up.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Retrolicious unicorns & rainbows dress I bought in New Orleans. It's such a colourful, fun dress! It really looks like a Lisa Frank print. When I saw it in the store window, I knew I had to try it on. There was one left in my size, thankfully! The shop owner said they just got it in, but it really already almost sold out. It's really tight in the bust, and has a little room in the waist. Retrolicious uses the best fabrics. I'm always excited to see what they come out with next.

Hello there! I'm so glad that the weekend is here, once again. I don't have a lot going on this weekend either, and once again, Bob is working on a Satuday. But, three Saturdays and two Sundays in September I already have plans for, so that'll be a nice change of pace. In the beginning of September Bob and I are going to New Orleans for a short trip. I'm extremly excited to go back to my favorite city. We'll only be there three full days and part of a night. But, it's better than nothing obviously. One good thing is, we know all the spots we want to hit, since we were there for ten days last time. We got to see a lot last time. There is at least one new place we'll be going to though; there's a new tiki bar/resturant that's opened up earlier this year.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my very favorite prints. I also have this print in a skirt. I wear them both frequently, and this color scheme is my favorite of all my harlequin prints. I didn't discover it until it was sold out on the Heart of Haute site, and they were pretty hard to track down, but I'm so glad I eventually found both in my size. It's such a bright, fun print, and it just makes me feel good when I'm wearing it! My Shoe Bakery ice cream flats match this dress really well, since there's a cream color and tan color in the dress.
