Folkloric Dress

Hello there! So glad that the work week is more than halfway done with! Tonight I'm going to work out, and also will be talking to one of my friends on the phone. Last night my parents and I went over my grandmother's house for her birthday. She turned 87 yesterday. She looks great for her age, I hope I have some of her genes! We are also celebrating her birthday this Saturday, when my sister can join in. She's not home that much.
In the pictures below I'm wearing the only item of clothing I have that has brown in it! I'm definitely not a fan of brown, but since the pattern on the dress is so darn colourful and cute, I can deal with it, ha. I got the dress from Modcloth a year ago. The material is decently thick, and the brand is Folter. The sandals I'm wearing are Salt Water Sandals brand, and they are the most comfortable sandals ever! I have them in three colours. I got these ones from Zappos, and my other pairs from Modcloth.

New Hope Trip

Hello there! Yesterday Bob and spent the day in New Hope. It was perfect weather for it! It was warm, but not hot or humid. When we first got there we stopped in a couple of shops, and then went to a pub for drinks & lunch. We sat outside at the bar. I just had some pizza, and Bob got a cheesesteak. We've eaten at this place a few other times. It's right on the main street, so we had a nice view from where we sat of shops and people walking by. When it's nice out I loveee to sit outside and eat and/or drink. I try to take advantage of opportunities to do that as much as possible, before the weather cools down.
After we left the pub we went to more shops. We also walked across the bridge to Lambertville, New Jersey. We had walked over there one other time, when there was a festival going on. This time there wasn't any festival, we just went in a couple shops. But, I didn't see really any place else I wanted to go there, so we walked back to New Hope. We got ice crem, went in a few more shops, and went home. All I bought was one Christmas cupcake ornament.
I wore my Pin Up Girl Clothing Jenny Oranges dress to New Hope. I keep wanting to wear it! It is my favourite Pin Up Girl Clothing item that I own. And I adore how my Luxulite necklace & brooch pair with it. I got a few compliments on my dress yesterday, including from a woman wh was driving and slowed down to yell it out the window, ha!
Today I'm going to clean the apartment, do laundry, work out, read, and watch "The Sopranos" with Bob. We only have two more episodes left to watch in the whole series! Once we're done with this series, I'm not sure what other TV series on DVD will be at the library that we'll want to take out. We've watched a bunch of TV series on DVD from the library already, ha.

Blue & Green

Hello there! My wedding is in 3 1/2 weeks! I'm so flipping excited to go to New Orleans for ten glorious days. Everytime I think about it it feels so much more real since it is so close now! Pretty soon I'm going to buy things I'll need for the trip. Since I have so much other stuff going on in the next 3 1/2 weeks, I'm trying to do the things that can get done now done.
Tonight I'm not doing much, just hanging out at the apartment. Tomorrow Bob, his parents, and I are going to the restaurant where the rehersal dinner will be, and picking out the food options. Friday night I'm meeting some friends from my last job for drinks. And Friday Bob is leaving for AC for his Bachelor Party!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress that reminds me of Brady Bunch houses! I got this dress a year ago; it was one of my first Modcloth dresses. The brand is Folter. Folter makes so many dresses with adorable prints on them! The sandals I'm wearing are also from Modcloth, the brand is Saltwater Sandals. (A U.K. brand.) I have these sandals in three colours, and they are sooo comfortable.

Rainbow Maxi

Hello there! The weather is perfect today! It's very sunny and warm, perfect temperature. It doesn't feel humid, either. I really wish the weather could always be like this!
Today I cleaned the apartment, did laundry, worked out, and watched some TV. My friend is coming over in a little while.
It's 9 months until our wedding! I feel so much better since I have made all of the major decisions for the wedding. We didn't order the invitations yet, but I picked out really cute ones, on Zazzle.com. They are quite colourful, of course! I'm really enjoying picking out little touches of colour. I'm so glad I can incorporate my love of rainbows and colour into the wedding!
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses. I basically look like a walking rainbow, ha. It's the only maxi dress I own. This outfit just picks up my spirits, and I just really like how I look in it. And those are really the two things that I strive to have in my outfits.

Picked My Wedding Dress!

Hello there! I went wedding dress shopping this morning with my Mom. I picked my dress! We only went to one store. I tried on about six dresses, and narrowed it down to two. It took a little while for me to choose between the two. But, I'm 100% certain now that I made the right choice! And it is SO different from what I had in mind. But, once I had it on I saw how nice it looked on me. Just goes to show you, you really do have to try on different styles, even ones you'd never think that you would like! I'm glad that big decision is all done with. I can relax more now about the wedding. Most of our big decisions have been made, and it feels really good.
Bob and I are leaving soon to go to Brew Works with friends. Can't wait to eat the Bavarian pretzels! They're so amazing, and so is the beer cheese soup dipping sauce that comes with them!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a new Modcloth dress & new Etsy necklace! I REALLY love them both. The necklace has my three fav colours in it.
The dress has such a cute, bright, and cheery pattern, and fits me well. I never buy brown clothing, but you barely notice that it's brown since there's so much colour in the pattern!
I can't believe my birthday is in three weeks. Time really does go so fast, the older I get. I'm quite excited to spend the day in NYC with Bob.

Rainbow Row

Hello there! So glad it's Thursday, and we are inching closer to the weekend! On Saturday, Bob and I are heading to his cousin's house for a housewarming party for them. Hope it'll be nice out, so we can hang out outside! It really has cooled down here the past few days. It's nice to have no humidity again!
I'm planning on checking out a bakery in my town on Saturday morning. I know they make wedding cakes. So, hopefully they have good prices, and can make what I have in mind! (Hint: LOTS of colour!)
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses. I love how pink, orange, yellow, and lime look together! Which is why I also love the necklace I'm wearing in the pics. I think it's such a nice combo. I also have this dress in purple, blue, and lime combo. This one is definetly my fav of the two though!
