Hello there! It's a pretty typical Sunday for Bob and me; we're staying home all day, and doing a lot of relaxing, although he does cook a lot on Sundays, too, to get ready for the week ahead. So, I'll be doing more relaxing than him, ha!
Christmas is only ONE week away now! On Christmas Even I'll be going to church and going out to dinner with Bob's family, and most likely sleeping over my parents' house that night. I'll be staying all day at my parents' on Christmas, and Bob will come over in the late afternoon, and then we'll go back home that night. I also have a board meeting to go to this Wednesday, but that's all I have going on this week so far.
I'm very much looking forward to having a lot of time off of work. The Friday after Christmas my mom and I are going out to Adamstown, PA, where there are tons of antique malls. I've been there with Bob a couple of times, but he doesn't like to go there very often. My parents love to go though, and used to drag me and my sister there when we were young. The times I went with Bob I wasn't on the hunt for antique Christmas items or Pyrex, so when I go that Friday, it'll be a whole other experience. I know they have a lot of Christmas items, as well as Pyrex.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter paint palette print Kelly dress that I got about a year ago. I love this print, and the color palette is a bit unexpected, but I love how much orange is in it! A print that features a lot of orange can be hard to find, but it's one of my favorite colors. My Lillian Madison Designs brooch is the perfect accessory for this dress, along with my palette earrings I picked up from Thirteen Vintage!

New Hope
Hello there! Well, in spite of how gloomy out it was yesterday, we decided to change it and go to New Hope. It ended up drizzling towards the end of our trip, but we only had to walk in it for a little bit. It was a little cool out too, but I resisted putting on my light jacket; didn't want to hide my fabulous outfit, ha! We had a good time, as we always do there. It's a really beautiful, artsy, funky, small business oriented town. The drive in is really scenic too, there are a few towns on the way over that are similar to New Hope (but don't have as much to do there). We go there about four times a year.
This time I actually bought clothing, which I've never done there before. There's a store called Thirteen Vintage on the main street. Last time I went in there, one of the shop owners recognized me from Instagram, and that was the first time that had ever happened to me in this area. The owners are super nice, and I got to talk to them for quite awhile about vintage repoduction. They give me a discount too, which is so sweet! I bought a L indy Bop dress and Sourpuss cropped cardi. It's so great to be able to try on these brands in person, instead of just ordering online. I'll get to do that again (at Enz's) in early June, when Bob and I go to NYC for the day. Enz's carries brands like Bernie Dexter, Trashy Diva and Retrospec'd, so I'm very excited to go again!
I wore my new to me Trashy Diva red waterlilies day dress, that I posted a blog about on Friday. I tried to style my hair "40's", since the dress is definitely 40's inspired. My hair didn't turn out exactly right, but that's okay.
Dresses: Trashy Diva & Thirteen Vintage (Lindy Bop)
Cardi: Thirteen Vintage (Sourpuss)
Heels: BAIT Footwear & Pin Up Girl Clothing (Chelsea Crew)
Purse: Miss Tiki Designs

A Little Bit Fruity
Hello there! I'm so glad today was cooler than the last two days, and MUCH less humid. Monday and Tuesday were extremly humid. I'm just lucky I don't work outside in all the elements, but my husband does. He was actually working at a house about three minutes from my job today, so on my lunch break I went over there to see him, which was nice. He has worked close to my job before, but he doesn't have enough time to come over and visit me, and sometimes he's at a job a short amount of time, that he isn't there by the time I go on my lunch break.
Tonight I went over to my grandmother's for a little bit. My parents and sister were there too. But, none of them had eaten dinner yet, and I had. So, they left to go get dinner after
bit, and I just went home. My sister's been home this whole week, and then Saturday she's going to California for a week with her boyfriend. Then she'll come back home for a few more days, and then her and her boyfriend will be on their way to their new life in Nashville! It's crazy how close her moving date is.
The dress I'm wearing in the pictures below is one of my most worn ones! I frequently wear it to work. It's great for work because of the high neck and good length hemline. I got it from Modcloth over a year ago.
Dress: Modcloth
Necklace, Brooch: Etsy (Luxulite)
Heels: B.A.I.T. Footwear

Tiki Time
Hello there! I'm so glad the three day weekend is finally here. I know it'll go wayyy too fast, but, I'm trying to savor every moment of it. Today I'm going to clean, do laundry, work out, go to Target, go to a BBQ at my parent's with Bob, and maybe go for a walk-in hair cut. I am in dire need of one, and I just need to go and do it. I'm excited to have a cheeseburger tonight! I haven't had one in a longgg time.
So many websites are having great Memorial Day sales! I'm especially eyeing a couple of items on the PUG site. I'm waiting to my place my order/s, until I see if I win an eBay auction that ends on Sunday. That'll determine how much more money I want to spend on other items, ha. There's actually another item on eBay I really want as well, but I have there's a lot more bids on it than the other one, and I think it'll go too high for me, unfortunately.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a new dress. It's Collectif brand, and it's from Red Velvet Vintage. I spotted it on Red Velvet's Instagram, and they sent me a Paypal Invoice for it. I hadn't seen it on their website, so I had asked them if I could order it, and luckily I could. They only had one left in this size! I wasn't sure if it'd fit my chest, since it's a size small, and I had never ordered this brand before. But, the ladies at Red Velvet told me that since there's smocking in the back, there's extra room, and a lot of girls have sized down. I'm so glad I did get a small, becaise there's even some extra room in the chest and waist, and I almost never have extra room in the bust. I'm so glad I found it on a U.S. website, and didn't have to pay shpping from overseas. I just adore the print on the dress! It's so cute and kitsch. It'll be just perfect to wear in NYC next month, at tiki bars.
Dress: Red Velvet Vintage (Collectif)
Necklace, Brooch: Etsy (Luxulite)
Purse: 13 Vintage
Flats: Poshmark (Urban Outfitters)

You know I came here, When I needed to hear something that sounded like an answer
Hello! The title of this post comes from lyrics from an Alkaline Trio song. I've been listening to them a lot lately. They've been one of my favourite bands for a few years.
Bob made Penne Vodka tonight! It was soooo good. He hasn't made that in a long time. My Mom never made it, so I never had it until not too long ago. But, now it's one of my favourite pasta dishes!
Tuesday, I found two great buys at TJ Maxx! I hadn't found anything decent there in awhile. But, these dresses are great! I got the same dress, in both neon pink and bright blue. They are comfy, perfect summer dresses. They're Cynthia Rowley brand. $29.99 each. I wore the blue one to work the other day, with a black bolero, and black heels. In the pictures below, I'm wearing the neon pink one. It's my favourite of the two. Not really a surprise, since I love pink so much! I think they're quite flattering, as well. Turns out, one of the hangers was marked wrong, and I didn't notice, since they both fit me well. I didn't even notice it until yesterday, when I took off the blue dress.
We're so close to Friday/the weekend! I have family coming in from Texas tonight. Hopefully I'll get to see them this weekend. Also, the Spring Festival in the town I live in is going on Fri-Sun, so I want to check that out! It's a small fair.
Dress: TJ Maxx (Cynthia Rowley brand)
Flip flops: Old Navy
Belt: Came with a different dress
Necklace: Thirteen Vintage, it's a little shop in New Hope
Bracelet: Express
