Hello there! This weekend has been beautiful so far; warm and sunny, and I'm loving it! I couldn't stay at home all day yesterday, because of how out it was, so I went out for a couple of hours; I took a little drive to a couple of antique shops. I spent $23, and got a super cute vintage apron with flower carts on it, a repro starburst print kitchen towel, and a vintage bottle of lemon extract in the original box. That's the best kind of antiquing day; when I only spend a little bit of money, and get some things I really love.
Next Saturday Bob and I will be going to the post office to start the process of getting our passports!! I wanted to do it way in advance of us going to the UK and Ireland. We are planning on going on our trip around middle or end of September; we haven't booked anything yet.
Our Vegas trip is just over a week(!!!) away now, and I'm so beyond ready to go! I've started packing, and buying items we needed for the trip. Now that it's so close, I really hope time flies during the next week.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Atomic Swags t-shirt that I bought from Sourpuss Clothing. I LOVE the kitschy space print, and the color combo of bright red and turquoise, which is one of my all time favorite color combos. I previously didn't own any t-shirts, except the ones I work out and sleep in. The tote bag I picked up in Nashville matches perfectly!

Hello there! This week is nice and short for me; I have a half day tomorrow, and am off on Friday. Can you believe Easter is only a few days away now?! Unfortunately, the really cold weather was sticking around until only a couple of days ago. It actually hit 50 degrees today, which is definitely an improvement!
I haven't had much going on this week yet. I'll be going to my grandmother's tomorrow night, with Bob and my dad, for pizza. Friday evening Bob and I have an appointment at the bank, regarding our house construction, and Saturday I'll be meeting some friends for lunch.
Well, the bridal shower for my sister last Saturday was a success. My mom helped out a lot, especially with the food! She made a lot of the food, and I helped her get some of it together, and I also made two kinds of cookies. There was about thirty people there, and it was held at my aunt and uncle's house about half an hour or so from me. They have a very big, beautiful home. They both collect antiques, and have very similar interests to my parents' antiquing interests, so I loved seeing their displayed antiques.
Saturday was the first time that I met three of the bridesmaids, and I'll be seeing them all again in two weeks(!!) for the bachelorette party. It was a long day, but the shower itself went by pretty quickly. I posted a couple of pictures below.
In the pictures below I'm my Retrospec'd fruit print dress that I got two years ago at Viva Las Vegas, and have worn tons of times since. It's also the first Retrospec'd dress I ever bought! This is the only print I have in the Peggy style, but I do like this style a lot. Retrospec'd chooses such lovely vintage prints to make reproductions of, and I highly recommend the brand. This is one of my all time favorite prints.
Retrospec'd's quality is quite good, and the dresses are machine washable, which is a HUGE plus in my book!

Hello there! Merry Christmas Eve! When you're counting down to something for awhile, it seems to be so far, until it finally isn't far away anymore! I hope everyone who celebrates has a great Christmas.
This afternoon I'll be meeting my parents and sister at my grandmother's place to visit, then going to church, then visiting my great uncle, and then going to my aunt and uncle's house. Bob will be going out to eat with his family for dinner, and then meeting me at my aunt and uncle's, and we'll each be sleeping over our parents' houses tonight.
Bob actually has to sleep at his dad's, because we are supposed to get snow overnight, and he can't park his plow truck at our apartment complex. So, he most likely will be salting and/or plowing Christmas morning, which he's never had to do before. We're both not happy about that.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress I got from the Etsy shop Violets in May last year. I did a blog post about it back then, too. I do adore the print on the dress and the pom poms on the bottoms, but I didn't have a great experience with the shop itself, unfortunately. I did talk about that last December, so I'm not going to get into it again, but bottom line is, I wouldn't order from the shop again. As you can see in the pictures, these red heels get
A LOT of use! I wear them all the time. I may need to get a replacement pair soon.
I'll actually be wearing this outfit on Christmas Day, and tonight I'm wearing my PUG ornament skirt that I blogged about recently.

Hello there! Well, in spite of how gloomy out it was yesterday, we decided to change it and go to New Hope. It ended up drizzling towards the end of our trip, but we only had to walk in it for a little bit. It was a little cool out too, but I resisted putting on my light jacket; didn't want to hide my fabulous outfit, ha! We had a good time, as we always do there. It's a really beautiful, artsy, funky, small business oriented town. The drive in is really scenic too, there are a few towns on the way over that are similar to New Hope (but don't have as much to do there). We go there about four times a year.
This time I actually bought clothing, which I've never done there before. There's a store called Thirteen Vintage on the main street. Last time I went in there, one of the shop owners recognized me from Instagram, and that was the first time that had ever happened to me in this area. The owners are super nice, and I got to talk to them for quite awhile about vintage repoduction. They give me a discount too, which is so sweet! I bought a L indy Bop dress and Sourpuss cropped cardi. It's so great to be able to try on these brands in person, instead of just ordering online. I'll get to do that again (at Enz's) in early June, when Bob and I go to NYC for the day. Enz's carries brands like Bernie Dexter, Trashy Diva and Retrospec'd, so I'm very excited to go again!
I wore my new to me Trashy Diva red waterlilies day dress, that I posted a blog about on Friday. I tried to style my hair "40's", since the dress is definitely 40's inspired. My hair didn't turn out exactly right, but that's okay.
