Hello there! Well, this week isn't going too quickly yet, but I am really looking forward to 70 degree weather tomorrow, yay! I don't have too much going on this week, but I'm meeting some former co-workers at a bar/restaurant on Thursday after work, and Saturday night I'll be going out to a bar with Bob. Tomorrow night Bob is making my very favorite meal, and I can't wait! He makes it once a month for me. The meal is tomato tart, and is similar to pizza.
I'm going to watch the movie "Moonlight" On Demand tonight. I'm excited that they've been putting more of the Oscar nominees and winners On Demand recently. I watched two already: "Loving" and "Manchester By the Sea". "Moonlight" won best film of the year, in case you missed it, so I have very high expectations for it.
After getting my two biggest Trashy Diva unicorn prints last year, the next one on my list was any of the liquor label print dresses. Well, now I can scratch that unicorn off the list, too! I am wearing the liquor labels print Day dress in the pictures below. It's my third day dress. The day dress has a straight skirt; so that's pretty out of the ordinary for me. It's also two sizes bigger than what I normally wear in the Day dress, but I got the measurements before buying it, and it didn't seem too much bigger than my size, and it's not! This print must have ran a bit small. So, I do have a little extra room at the waist, but I'm used to that. I figured if it ended up being huge in the waist, my mom could take it in. But, with the belt on the roominess is no big deal.
Ugh, this print! I just adore it. I can't wait to wear it out on its maiden voyage this weekend! I had been planning it out in my head before receiving the dress to pair it with these blue Idas, and I'm so glad they match perfectly! I'm so happy I was able to find my unicorn, and I know I'll be wearing it a lot. I won't be wearing it to work though, as I don't think they'd find the print appropriate for a school, ha.

Hello there! Today Bob & I went to a local antique show, and then had some drinks at a restaurant/bar in town. The antique show had 45 dealers, and I had never been to this one before. I only bought one item: a bottle brush wreath. A couple of vendors recognized me from an antique show I went to in December, including the one I bought the wreath from today. It's my first bottle brush wreath, and I love it. It's in really good condition, too. I try to only buy antiques that are in good condition, and Bob is a stickler for that, too. We were only at the show for about 45 minutes, so that made Bob happy, ha.
After the show we went down the street to a brew pub that also has an outdoor bar, in case the outdoor bar was open, since it was so warm out. Unfortunately it wasn't open, and the bar inside was packed, so we went to a different restaurant/bar that's closer to home. We sat at the bar, and the bartender is actually a teacher at the school I work at. I already knew she worked there, but never had been waited on her there before.
It was crazy warm again today; got up to 70 degrees. We got a thunderstorm in the afternoon, which is very odd for winter. The cold front is coming back in, and it'll be much cooler tomorrow, unfortunately. I've been getting too used to this spring/summmery weather!
In the pictures below I'm wearing the outfit I wore today. I usually wear this retro kitchen Bernie Dexter Kelly when I go antiquing, because it's oh, so appropriate for it! It's one of my most worn dresses, period. I like to think it brings me good antiquing luck too, ha.

Hello there! It's too darn gorgeous out today, and sadly, after Saturday it's going to drop significantly in termperature. I just wish the warm weather would be here to stay already! It's in the upper 60's right now, and sunny. It's supposed to rain on Saturday unfortunately, or else I'd be taking advantage of the warm weather, and going to New Hope for a day trip. Instead, we'll be going to an indoor antique show nearby. I don't have much else going on the rest of this week/weekend.
I'm really hoping for warm, sunny weather the following Saturday, so we can go to New Hope. I miss going there; I don't think we've been since around August. Two Saturdays from this one I'll be going out to PA with my mom to go antique shopping, and I can't wait for that!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Lindy Bop cupcake shirt dress that I got a few months ago, and blogged about back then. It's really big on my waist unfortunately, and any smaller belt than this thick belt doesn't really define my waist enough, since there's so much extra fabric. Ugh, the struggle. Almost all of my dresses are large on my waist, and some are really large on my waist. Thank God for belts, I tell ya! Lindy Bops' sizing is quite wonky, and it does annoy me. But, they've been churning out some really prints, plus they're so cheaply priced!

Hello there! It was really nice to see my aunt & cousin from Texas last night. I hadn't seen them in a year or so. My uncle couldn't end up coming. My cousin Franny is 15 now, and 5'11"! I'll see them again tonight when my family goes out to eat for dinner, and then they'll be flying home on Monday.
It's been so spring like this weekend, and it wasn't even cold when we left my parents' around 9:20 p.m. I just had on my light Trashy Diva coat, and I was fine. I hope winter is really gone, and they we won't have a lot of back and forth with temperatures. I looked at the 10 day forecast, and it's not supposed to get really cold again at all. In fact, Thursday will be the warmest: 68 degrees!
When the weather starts to turn like this, and it actually smells like spring outside (it did yesterday!), I start really thinking about and looking forward to all the things I want to do outside! It's hard being cooped up inside in the winter time, and boring. I can't wait to start going to visit the towns in PA that we like to go to, for day trips.
Next Saturday Bob and I are going to an antique show, about 15 minutes from where we live. We've never been to this one before, and I'm really looking forward to it. I think it's mainly going to be Easter items.
In the pictures below I'm wearing the outfit I wore last night to my parents' house. This Trashy Diva red Doris dress is a staple in my closet, just like my red TD Americana I posted about on Thursday. They both get a ton of use, and they're so versatile and flattering.
They are made of cotton poplin and are of decent thickness. I hope TD does more cotton poplins very soon!

Hello there! It's a beautiful sunny day here, and going to be warm. Bob and I are going to a family dinner at my parent's house tonight. My mom's making turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, etc. So, it'll be like a mini Thanksgiving dinner, ha. She also baked a triple layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing for dessert; we're having it for my grandfather's birthday. She makes it for all the family birthdays, and it's everyone's favorite. It's extremly rich, as you may have been able to tell from the description. She even mailed a piece to my sister for her bday in January, ha!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my newest Bernie dress. I have three Bernies with paint palette prints, and I really love each of them. I think I can safely say this is my favorite of the three though. I wore it to work on Thursday, and wore it last night to meet my friend at Panera. I love pairing it with these bright blue BAIT Roni heels. The blue in these heels almost exactly matches the blue in the dress. I get a lot of compliments on these shoes.
They're so darn comfortable, too.
I almost always pair my Lillian Madison Designs paint palette brooch with my paint palette dresses, because there's nothing like a good theme, am I right?

Hello there! Well, my four day weekend is now upon me. It's the last time off until spring break in April, when I'll be away in Vegas for part of break. To make it even better, we are supposed to have a very warm Saturday-Monday, reaching a peak of 60 degrees on Sunday! It's not supposed to rain, either. So, I'm really going to get spring fever this weekend!
I haven't had much going on this week so far. I went to a board meeting last night, but it didn't go too long, and I got home around 6:45. I've still been watching "Call the Midwife" on Netflix, as there's five seasons on there. I'm on the beginning of season 4 now. The show isn't one of my all time favorites, but it's pretty good.
I'm seeing a friend tomorrow night, and Saturday and Sunday nights have family dinners to go to. We are celebrating my grandfather's birthday on Saturday at my parents' house, and we have family from Texas that will be here all weekend, and will be at both dinners (we're going out to eat at a restaurant on Sunday).
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Americana dress that I won on eBay about two years ago. I get a lot of use out of it in the wintertime. It's pretty much the perfect shirt dress; it's simple, but flattering and comfortable, and looks like it could be vintage.
It also fits really well everywhere, which is not usually the case for me with dresses. I hope Trashy Diva starts making this stye again soon! I don't think they've made any new Americanas in the almost three years I've been buying from them.
Since the dress is just a solid red, I can pair it with so many different brooches, and any of my black shoes. You can't go wrong with a well made, flattering, red dress!

Hello there! Bob and I are having a typical quiet Sunday today. He'll be doing a lot of cooking and baking for today and the upcoming week. I'll be working out, reading, and watching Netflix. I have a board meeting to go to on Wednesday at the school I work at, and then two family dinners this coming weekend. I may be meeting up with a friend, too.
In
the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter tomato print Chelsea
dress that I got about three years ago. It was one of my first Bernies. I
had seen it online for a little while, and at first it wasn't something I
had to have, but it grew on me, that's for sure.
I'm so glad I snapped
up when I did (during a Black Friday sale), because it seemed to have
sold out online everywhere right after that. Tomatoes are my favorite
vegetables (or fruits, ha, I know it's debatable what they are). I can't
get enough of them! Whenever Bob is cooking with them (which is a lot),
I go in the kitchen and take pieces of tomatoes. Bob has started
gardening at his parents' house, and we'll have tomatoes around the end
of July/beginning of August! I can't wait to have our own house and
garden. Did you know New Jersey is one of the top producers of tomatoes in this country? We're not called the Garden State for nothing.
