Hello there, and happy spring!! I'm so glad it has arrived! Even though the weather here has gotten cooler than it was last week, I'm just happy it's officially spring, as the season I hate is officially over! Winer always seems to drag on endlessly, and summer always flies by, at least for me.
Last night I watched "Brooklyn" and "Carol" On Demand. Wow, I LOVED "Brooklyn". It definitely lived up to the hype. I'm just so in love with Ireland/all thing Irish as it is, and this movie just really got to me. I knew it would make me cry, ha. I love the actress, Saoirse Ronan. She was also in "Atonement" and "The Lovely Bones", both of which I've seen. I really didn't know what her decision would be (whether to stay in Ireland or go back to Brooklyn), but I liked the way the movie ended. "Carol" I wasn't so crazy about. I love Cate Blanchett, and both movies were set int he 50's, so I enjoyed seeing the wardrobes and decor, but "Carol" moved slowly, and didn't have a good ending. Today we're going to watch "The Big Short" On Demand. That movie should be more of Bob's speed, ha.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter cherry blossoms dress. It's the perfect dress for the first day of spring. I had also wetset my hair the night before I took these pictures, and I think my hair turned out decently. Sometimes it turns out crappy, and I ended up just straightening my hair to take out the bad curls.

Gingham Bernie With A Cherry On Top
Hello there! I'm so glad it's the weekend! I've been waking up an hour earlier for my new job (5:30 as opposed to I was waking up at 6:30 at my last job), and although I've been going to bed an half hour or hour earlier than I was, some days I get pretty tired when I'm driving to work, which is scary, especially because I'm driving on the highway to go to this job. Once I get into work, I usually don't feel tired anymore, but I guess my body is just having a hard time adjusting to this slight change. And I don't like how dark out it is when I'm driving to work, because of setting the clocks ahead an hour last weekend. But, it is nice that it was still a light out last night at 7:30!! I love that. I was at a bar with my friends, and when I left at 7:30 I was happily surprised it was still light out. I had met up with two friends from my last job, and it was nice to catch up with them. I saw them a couple of weeks ago, too. Actually all of my friends are people I've worked with at previous jobs.
Today I'm meeting a friend at Panera for dinner. Other than that, I'm just cleaning, doing laundry, working out, running an errand, and just relaxing; reading/watching TV. My sister is coming home for Easter, she'll be back next Friday. It's crazy Easter is only a week away!! I'll be going to my parents for Easter. And the first day of spring is tomorrow, YAY!!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter gingham dress that I bought at Enz's in NYC almost a year ago. I hadn't seen the dress available online anywhere, and was happy to find it at Enz's in my size. It is very tight in the chest though, and I would've preferred to size up to have more room there, but they didn't have the next size up. I think the cherry pie brooch is the perfect match for it.
Dress: Enz's (Bernie Dexter)
Necklace: Etsy (Luxulite)
Brooch: Erstwilder
Purse: Trashy Diva

Another Unicorn!
Hello there! Ah, we're more than halfway through the work week now. I'm happy about that, and hoping the next two days go quickly. I'm seeing my friend on Saturday, we're going to Panera, and I may be seeing a couple of friends from my previous job on Friday.
Vegas is four weeks away now, holy cow! It's going to be so great to see some ladies again who I've met in person at other rockabily events (including Viva last year), as well as meeting new ladies this time! My husband is going to be surrounded by very stylish, gorgeous women. Not too bad, huh?
In the pictures below I'm wearing my very newest Bernie dress! It was my biggest Bernie unicorn! Bernie herself listed the dress, and as soon as I saw it, I held my breath that it'd be a size I could fit into (she only listed one)! Luckily, it was! I instantly bought it. I've been so lucky with scoring unicorns lately; since January I've acquired two of my biggest Trashy Diva unicorns as well! I had this house print in a short Retrolicious dress that I got from Modcloth two years ago. I'm listing the dress for sale now though, since I have this lovely, bright print in a Bernie dress! I much prefer the shape of Bernie dressses to the shorter Retrolicious one. Both companies select amazing prints though! The colors in this print are all my favorities. I just love how pink, orange, yellow & lime go together. I haven't been wearing my open toed BAITs this winter, but now that it's been warmer, I've been itching to wear my BAIT Beatrices. I have pink, yellow & purple. I'm wearing the yellow in the pictures below.

Bernie Roses
Hello there! Today I'll mostly be hanging out at home; working out, reading, just watching TV and relaxing...but, Bob and I are going out to eat at Friendly's, too. We haven't been there in a few months, and it's right around the corner from us. Last night I went out for drinks in town with Bob and his brother, and I also met up with a friend, and then ran into another friend at one of the bars. I hadn't gone out for drinks in town in months. It wasn't super freezing last night, so we were able to walk from one bar to the other. Since the clocks when ahead this morning, I'm glad we'll be having an extra hour of sunlight in the evenings!! That'll be really nice.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter roses dress in the Paris cut. Besides adoring the print, the background color on this dress is also amazing! It's a perfect shade of blueish/greenish. I have four dresses in the Paris cut. I'm also wearing my rainbow rose hair flower, which I loveee.

Cardigan: Booth at Viva Las Vegas (forget the name)
Hair flower: Daisy Jean Florals

Heat Wave
Hello there! We are just over a month away until my Vegas vacation, and I am getting ever more excited about it. It's very hard to wait now. I also want to book our July vacation very soon, to secure our hotel rooms, and have another trip to look forward to! I'm very excited to go to places I've never been before, and I love road tripping with my husband.
I've really been on a biography quick lately. I finished reading a biography called "The Sound of Gravel" by a woman who grew up in a polygamist Morman cult. I've always been extremly fascinated by the psychology behind cults, and the book was a really good read, but also very sad, of course. After that one, I read "Loving Amy", the biography Amy Winehouse's mother wrote about her daughter, and now I'm reading "Down the Rabbit Hole" by Holly Madison, one of Hugh Heffner's former girlfriends. I've been reading a lot more lately than I had been, and I'm really enjoying getting back to reading more. Prior to this recent kick, I was reading a little every day, but just a little bit, usually just a little on my lunch break.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Betty Le Bonbon skirt. It's the first time I had ever ordered from the small Australian company. They do everything made to order.
I would highly recommend Betty Le Bonbon. They have a Facebook page and Instagram, where you can message the owner. You specify what skirt/dress length you want, and the waist measurement. This skirt is just perfect!! I love, LOVE the shape of it, and it's very well made. It fits me well, with a little bit of room, which is perfect, as I don't like tight skirts.
I like the width of the waistband, too.
Plus the printttt is everything! So much color and fun, and so many accessory and shoe options for it! It's very fitting this skirt atrrived yeserday, as it's feeling like summer right now! Today it was 75 degrees out, and I was loving it! It's supposed to be about the same tomorrow. I greatly enjoyed driving home from work the past two days with my windows down! I'd love nothing better than it to feel like summer all the way from now (even though it's still winter) through the end of summer!! Skipping right over spring weather is fine by me! Summer is my favorite season, if you couldn't guess. Every so often we get these kind of winters, where we barely got any snow, and it makes me soooo happy! I can't say for sure, but I really feel like the winter weather is all done with! The fifteen day forecast is full of spring-y temperatures, and NO sign of snow.

Stamm House Visit
Hello there! Yesterday I went out to Mifflinburg, PA with my mom to go shopping for holiday decorations/antiques. We go out there a couple of times a year. Our first stop is the Stamm House, where a woman sells holiday decorations that she handmakes from antique German molds. She's a great artist, and there's no one else out there like her that I've come across yet. My mom is a huge collector of holiday decorations, and said she's never seen anyone else doing this either. I got my biggest haul yet. She had so many Easter items that I wanted, more than any other time I've been there. I posted pictures below, and I also posted picture of my full Stamm collections, and of displays inside the store.
It was funny, because when we got there at 10:30 (the store opened at 10), there was another shopper in there already, and that woman is the same one who's been there the two last times we were there also. She lives almost as far away from there as we do (we live over two hours away). The shop is small, and some items the artist only makes one or two of, so you have to snatch up what you want right away! But, since that woman got there half an hour before us, she had gotten a ton of items already. There was only one item she had that there were no more of, that I probably would've bought if I had gotten there before her. But, it's okay, because I got so many amazing pieces. A guy came in while the three of us ladies were there shopping, and we had already put aside so many pieces for us (my mom was also shopping for my sister and cousin, and my mom and I were sending pictures to my sister and cousin to see what they wanted.). Poor guy, he didn't have too much of an Easter selection left! We were there about an hour and a half, and it's only one small room. I just love being in there though, surrounded by so much cuteness!
After the Stamm House we went to a gift store, an antique mall, and then a huge gift store.
I didn't get anything at the other places.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Heart of Haute bubbles dress, and my new peach BAIT Idas that came this week. The Idas match the dress perfectly. I wasn't sure how the peah would look in person, because sometimes shoe colors look different in person than they do on the BAIT website. The shoes ended up a bit brighter in person than they looked online, which is fine by me!

A Dress Fit For A Picnic
Hello there! Spring is only 2.5 weeks away now. I'm so very glad that January and February are done with, as I can't stand either of those months (because of the weather). It always makes me feel a little better/hopeful once those two months are done with.
I'm not working today, so I'm going to greatly enjoy spending the day at home! The only time I'm leaving is to run to Target later. I'm going to do a lot of reading; I started reading "The Sound of Gravel" this morning, which is a memoir (I love reading memoirs), and am going to watch "The Danish Girl", which I'm excited to see. On Saturday my mom and I are going out PA to go shopping for holiday decorations/antiques. I'm really looking forward to it. The shop we go to first has the best handmade holiday decorations (they're antique reproductions that the woman makes in her home & the shop is inside her home).
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Lena Picnic dress, and my Heart of Haute cropped cardi. I saw a couple of ladies on Instagram tying it in the back instead of tying it in a bow in the front, and I liked how it looked! So, I've been doing it that way, too. I think this dress is pretty much the perfect summertime dress. Don't get me wrong, clearly I will rock gingham in all seasons, but I think it's a "quintessential" summer-y print. I'm definitely bringing this one to Vegas next(!!!) month! Wow, it feels great to say that Vegas is next month!
Dress: Trashy Diva
Cropped Cardi: Gift (Heart of Haute)
