Hello there! I had a good day yesterday. I went to lunch at Panera with my friend, and had my usual selection there: broccoli cheddar soup. After we met up, I went to a couple of shops. At TJ Maxx, I lucked out! I got a few brightly colored items, along with a white picture frame. I had a gift hard that I'd had for a couple of years, and have been wanting to spend there. I ended up almost hitting exactly what was left on the card; I only had to pay 18 cents for my items, ha! My favorite item I found was a Betsey Johnson rainbow sprinkle make up bag, so perfect for me! I didn't find anything at my new stop: Home Goods.
In the evening, Bob and I went out for a couple of drinks at an outdoor bar about 15 minutes from us. Today we're just spending the day at home.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Trashy Diva Wildflowers Trixie dress. I am going to return the Streetcar I had also ordered in this print, surprisingly. At the time of ordering, I thought the Streetcar would be the one I'd end up keeping, even though I had never tried one on before. I LOVE how bright and cheery this print is! Since the dress has a white background, it really feels like a summertime dress, although I'll extend that a bit by wearing it in late spring and early fall. I like to get the maximum use out of dresses. This dress is so comfortable, and the main reason for that is that there are elastic side panels. I'll definitely be wearing this one to work, as well as outside of work. The fabric is cotton voile, which is a great fabric to wear when it's hot out. Cotton voile also creates lovely full, poofy skirts, which I love. I also have a cotton voile Carnival print Trixie, which I wear a lot, and a rayon Trixie sarong.
This Wildflowers print is 60's inspired, which is a bit outside TD's norm when it comes to prints. It seems most of their prints are 40's & 50's inspired, with some falling outside of that. I love how they have such a crazy variety of prints, colors, and dress styles. There's something for everyone! Of course, that means I don't like every new release, but that's okay. Better for my wallet, right??

Mahjong
Hello there! Oh, I'm so happy the weekend is here. I had off today too, so that makes it extra nice. I got a lot of things done today, like cleaning, laundry, working out, and running a couple of errands. I also read, and am going to get some outfit pictures, and watch new episodes of "Wentworth" on Netflix shortly. We're not doing too much this weekend, but I am meeting my friend tomorrow for lunch at Panera. Next Saturday Bob and I are most likely going to Asbury Park for the day, and I can't wait to check it out! I've never been there before, and I've heard they have good restaurants there, and I know there's a vintage repro shop there, too that I want to check out. I'm also going to look online to see if there's any antique stores in the area. The beach is there as well, but we aren't going to go in the water that day, as we will only be there for a limited time. We'll hit the beach when we go away to Wildwood & Cape May later this summer.
Bob and I just finished the latest season of "Orange is the New Black" on Netflix. I'm sure now we'll have to wait a whole year for new episodes, ugh! They've been releasing new episodes every June. By the time the new episodes are available, we barely remember the previous season! That's the most annoying part of waiting so long. The season was pretty good, but I thought previous seasons were better and more dramatic. I think this season moved slower. I hope the newest season of "Wentworth" is as good as the others. If you don't know "Wentworth" is set (and filmed) in Australia, and is also a women's prison drama, and Bob and I actually like it better than OINB.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva mahjong print Annette. I got it a year ago, when it first came out. I tend to just wear it in late spring/summer/early fall, because with that white background if comes off as pretty summery to me. These blue sparkly BAIT Footwear Robbies don't match too much in my wardrobe, but they match the blue in this dress pretty closely.

Atomic Doris
Hello there! It's new print release day for Trashy Diva. I always look forward to the big reveal! They give little hints leading up to it, and so I knew it'd be a floral print on a white or cream background. I was really hoping I'd like this one, especially because I didn't get anything from the last two prints releases (I did try one dress, but returned it). Well, I do love the print! It's 60's inspired, and has bright primary colored flowers on it.
I ordered two dress styles to try, and I'm sure I'll return the one I like less on me. One of the styles I've never tried before; the streetcar. The print is cotton voile too; and I love that material!
If you're not that familiar with TD, an FYI: some sizes of some styles sell out immediately (they do do re-stocks sometimes), so it's good to place your order without delay! I ordered within half an hour of the release, so I'm hoping both my items were still available.
Yesterday Bob and I were at my parent's house all day for a family picnic, and left around 7:00 p.m. I got to see my aunt & cousin who live in Texas and catch up with them, so that was nice. My 15 year old (female) cousin is 5'11.5" now! Crazy! My cousin played corn hole with Bob, me, and my parents. We usually play it at family get togethers at Bob's parent's house, but this was I think the second time he brought it to my parent's house. We found a nice shady area for it yesterday, which was great, because it was hot and sunny out.
I went to the library today after work, and otherwise I'll just be working out tonight. I don't
have much planned for Friday-Sunday yet, other than that I'm meeting my friend for lunch at Panera on Saturday.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Pinup Girl Clothing atomic print Doris skirt that I scored on the Facebook PUG Swap & Sell Group a few months back. I adore this very bright mint shade of the background of the skirt, plus the cute 50's atomic print. The skirt is nice and full, too. The skirt originally was sold with a thick black belt, but I didn't receive a belt with this one I bouht used, so I just added one of my black Bernie belts.

Flamingos & Lobsters
Hello there! Yesterday I went antiquing in a town about 25 minutes from me. The only thing I bought was a bangle for 50 cents, ha! It's just a red wood bangle. I thought about buying a Pyrex casserole dish that was a beautiful shade of blueish lavendar, but ended up not doing it. I'm going antiquing in Adamstown, PA with my mom in three weeks, and I'll probably find a good amount of items there that I want, so I didn't want to buy much yesterday. Adamstown is THE place to go for antiquing. I last went six months ago with my mom, and am excited to go back. They have tons of antique malls there, and we usually go to about five of them. My parents sometimes go out and spend all weekend there.
Bob and I went out for a couple of drinks last night, to a bar about 10 minutes from us, that we hadn't been to in a few months. Other than that and antiquing, I just did a lot of reading and Netflix watching yesterday. I'm not doing much today either, a typical Sunday for me.
Tuesday Bob and I are going to a family picnic at my parent's house, and Friday we'll be going back to their house for my mom's birthday.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my trusty Hell Bunny flamingo print dress. I got it from Unique Vintage over three years ago, and I still love the shape of the dress, and the print! It's very comfy, too. I added a hook & eyelet in the back, above the zipper, to keep the zipper up. The zipper had been slipping down a bit, because of my chest.
My new mint bangle I got in Nashville, along with my new pink bangle that Bob gave me for our anniversary, both match so well with the dress. I love this combo of blue, mint, & pink, and I also love that my Luxulite lobster necklace matches this dress so well. I don't have a lot of dresses with that shade of dark red/burgundy that would match the lobsters in the necklace.

Red Honey
Hello there! Today I'll be doing cleaning, laundry, and working out. All the fun stuff, right? Ha. It's supposed to rain tonight and this weekend, so hopefully Bob and I can still go to an outdoor bar tomorrow, like we had planned. He's making me my favorite meal this weekend; tomato tart! I'm very much looking forward to it. It'll be our belated at home anniversary dinner. He makes it about one a month for me, and it's been a month now since I've had it.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new to me Trashy Diva red Honey dress. I love the Honey style on me, and was happy to add another one to my collection. This is my 4th, and my second solid color one. I also have a coral Honey, but it's made of satin, so I don't get to wear it much. I own a few solid red dresses, and many more printed dresses with red backgrounds. Red isn't my favorite color (although it's close!), but I gravitate towards it with dresses, and I have heard it's my "best" color. I got this dress for a good price on the Tradesy website, and it was the first time I had bought anything from that site. The person who I bought the dress from dress took awhile to ship it, I believe 4 days, but otherwise, it was a good experience.
Since this Honey is a solid red, I can pair it with a multitude of brooches and necklaces, which is always a bonus. I have so many printed dresses and skirts, but I also love the few solid color dresses I have. My accessories really shine when paired with them. I rarely wear my Honeys without a bandeau under them, because of all my dresses, they show the most bust. But, I do find them to be one of, if not the most flattering TD dress style on me. I don't wear them to work though, because even with a bandeau there's still a bit of cleavage. I always bring Honeys with me on vacation, and sometimes will wear them without a bandeau on vacation.

State Kelly
Hello there! Wow, it's beautiful out today! It's 75, sunny, and low humidity. It's going to be back up to 90 ish this weekend. I don't have too much going on this week so far. On Saturday night I think Bob and I will be going out in the late afternoon to an outdoor bar again, for a couple of drinks. I love taking advantage of the warm weather by sitting outside for drinks. I'm waiting to hear about 4th of July plans. My parents are having a family picnic at their house on Tuesday, but I've yet to find out what Bob's family is doing. At work, we have the option to take off next Monday or next Friday (in addition to Tuesday), and I believe I'm going to take next Friday off to spread out the days off.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter state print Kelly dress. This is one of my most worn dresses. I wear it to work often, and also when traveling. It's a perfect print to wear on an airplane and on a road trip! I don't have too many outfits that match the shade of blue that these heels are, but this dress is one of them. If you hadn't picked up on it by now, I LOVE to travel, and have been to about 35 states. I love exploring new places. My parents and sister also love to travel, and my parents took me and my sister somewhere every summer. One summer we flew to central California and drove from there to the top of Washington state, and took a ferry to British Columbia, Canada, and another summer we flew to Denver, and drove to New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah.

Red Fans Anne
Hello there! Well, it was supposed to rain this weekend, but it ended up being sunny & beautiful out. Yesterday I stayed home most of the day and night, and did some cleaning, laundry, working out, outfit pictures, reading, etc. Bob and I did go out to a bar in town at night, for a couple of anniversary drinks (our anniversary was Wednesday). Today I'll also be mostly home again, just going to be running a couple of errands also. It's nice to have a quieter weekend after having some busy ones recently. Bob also wanted to stay home because he had quite a stressful week.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Red Fans Anne dres that I got a year ago. I love beautiful Asian prints, and Trashy Diva releases a good amount of them. List most (or possibly all) of Trashy Diva's prints, they are vintage reproductions. Sometimes they will change the colors in the prints from that of the original vintage design, but otherwise, keep the print the same. I think that's so neat! Retrspec'd also does exact vintage reproductions.
I also have this dress in a 3/4 sleeve shirt dress style that I wear in cooler weather. I love the background shade of red; it's a different shade of red than the typical shades. The dress fabric is stretch cotton, and I think that is my very favorite TD fabric! It's so comfortable.
I hope they come out with more very soon!
I'm also wearing new BAIT heels in the pictures below. I LOVE them! They are the Hansel style, and the color is aqua blue. I received them this week. They're pretty comfy so far.
I love this shade of blue. I have one other pair of BATs in this shade.
