Hello there! Today I worked from home, because we still don't have power in our office. The power went out around 2:30 pm yesterday, because there was construction somewhere locally, and a worker hit a line. I thought for sure the power would be back on by this morning! I was shocked to find out it wasn't. We also left work early yesterday, to go home and finish the work day from home.
It's definitely nice to work from home once in awhile. And I have off tomorrow! I took a personal day tomorrow, because....I GOT A NEW JOB!! And I had one personal day, so I figured I might as well use it before I go. (They don't pay out for unused personal days once you leave.) I have worked at my current job for two years and nine months. My last day is next Thursday.
I start my new job the following Monday, and I can't wait! I'm going to be an administrative assistant. This is the job I have wanted since I graduated college five years ago. With the crash of the economy, I didn't have any luck until now! It's been a long time coming. It barely even seems real to me!
There are so many exciting things going on in my life right now. Big changes! Two months from the day I start my new job is my wedding! Luckily my new job is fine with me taking off for two weeks. I was nervous to tell them about that, because I didn't know if it would deter them from picking me.
On another positive note- this weather! Today is such a gorgeous, sunny day. It's around sixty-five degrees out. Sunday and Monday are supposed to be a high of seventy-two degrees; I can't wait for that! It's just so, so nice to see and feel the sun so much more now! It was a long time coming.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress my mom made me in October. I also have it in a blue version from Modcloth. (But with a collar, buttons on the top part, and a fuller skirt.) I love both of them so much! The pie print is just too cute. I obviously can't get enough of food prints on clothing! I love my pie dresses paired with this Luxulite fruit brooch.

Little Houses
Hello there! What a gorgeous day it is outside! It's about 60 degrees, and very sunny. It feels so nice! This morning I went with my mom to the store where I got my wedding dress, to meet with a seamstress. She's going to hem the dress so it's a length I won't be stepping on in the front, and going to add the bustle, and also shorten the straps of the dress so it fits better up top. Once she put the pins in so I could see how the dress is going to look, I was SO happy!! Shortening the straps just a little bit makes such a difference! I really like how the bustle is going to look, also.
I'll be going back there May 12th to try it one more time and make sure it's all set to go. And that should be the last time we go out to the shop! At the store I tried my dress on with my wedding shoes. I get so many compliments on them! They add a great pop of colour, that's for sure.
Yesterday I went shopping for Easter decorations out in Pennsylvania with my mom and aunt. Where we went is about two hours away from where I met my mom and aunt, (I drove half an hour to meet them.) so there was a lot of driving. My mom was very generous and got me three Easter decorations, as well as two Christmas ones, and one Halloween one. We first went to a store called Stamm House. It's run by a husband and wife, and they make almost everything there in the back. They are so talented! They make everything with a retro look to it. (The five items I got at that store are in the pictures below.)
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my four house print dresses. They're all from Modcloth. This dress pairs perfectly with my newest pair of B.A.I.T. Idas in blue.
Dress: Modcloth
Cropped cardigan: Old Navy
Belt: Target

Route 66 Dress
Hello there! The weather is SO nice right now!! I think this is the nicest day we've had since probably October. The high was around 60 degrees, and it's been sunny all day. When I went out to my car at lunch break to read, I didn't even need a coat. Love that! Spring and summer just make me feel so much more positive and hopeful.
Tonight Bob and I are going to his parent's house to have cake for his dad's birthday. Bob's dad, brother, and Bob all have birthdays within one month. Bob's is only two and a half weeks away now! I got one of his gifts, and he recently told me another item he wants, which luckily I can just pick up locally.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Modcloth dress. And I have on new red lipstick! I received it in the mail last week. I got sick of wearing lipstick that wore off so quickly. This lipstick is much better quality than any others I've tried before. It's also more money of course, but I think it's worth it. It's Stila brand, and the shade is called Beso. I think the shade of red is just perfect. It came recommended from a girl whose blog I read, and Instagram I follow. I love getting great recommendiations from my online friends! I've gotten some really excellent ones.

Whole Lotta Red
Hello there! So, we didn't end up going to New Hope yesterday because of the rain. We got pizza for dinner instead, and then went to Applebee's. I was using my ice cream cone wristlet last night, when Bob and I went to Applebee's and Bottle King. A few people complimented me on it, and one cashier at Bottle King even asked to take a picture to show his friend, ha!
Today is another crappy day outside. It's dark and dreary, and supposed to rain more. I think Bob and I are just staying in today. I'm going to work out, read, watch "The Sopranos" and probably "Wolf of Wall Street." And Bob is making a turkey dinner, with stuffing, sweet potatos, and peas. I love all four of those items!
Next Saturday I'm going shopping in Pennsylvania with my mom and aunt at shops that sell Easter decorations, and we are going to an antique center. My mom loves shopping for holiday decorations, and she has SO many. I went with her back in October too, to look for Halloween and Christmas decorations. Then on Sunday my mom and I are going to the bridal store to drop off my dress for alterations. The bridal store is also in Pennsylvania.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my only Hell Bunny dress. Hell Bunny makes such cute, retro style clothing. Modcloth has a good selection of their items. I got this dress from Amazon. I love the dress paired with my Luxulite cherry necklace and brooch. They all go so well together.

Birds & Flowers
Hello there! Well, Bob and I were supposed to got New Hope, PA today, but it's supposed to rain all day and night. (And tomorrow.) I keep checking the hourly forecast, but unfortunatly it seems we won't be able to go. I'm disappointed. We haven't been there since July. Now that it's spring we can start going on little day trips around the area, and get to do things that would have been too cold to do in the winter. But, now there's always a chance it could rain and ruin the plans.
If we don't get to go today, I'm not sure what we'll do instead. I'm going to clean the apartment, do laundry, read, and probably run to Target. Maybe we'll go out to dinner around here. "Wolf of Wall Street" is availabe On Demand now, so I think Bob and I will watch it sometime this weekend. We both have been wanting to see it, but Bob even more so. Bob's really into the stock market.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Modcloth dress. I got this one back in September, and I love it so much. The brand is Retrolicious. I think the print is so pretty. I have a few Folter and Retrolicious brand items I got from Modcloth. (They are made by the same company.) They use such unique, fun fabrics for their dresses and skirts! This dress is a little thicker than most of my dresses, so I wear it sometimes in the winter, too.

Springtime in Paris
Hello there! I don't have too much going on tonight, or the rest of the work week. I went to the library after work, and tonight I'm just going to relax with Bob- watch "The Sopranos" and read. I'm meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow at Panera. I was just at Panera on Saturday night, but I don't mind going there again so soon! I can't wait to go to New Hope on Saturday with Bob! It's supposed to rain a bit, I really hope it won't be for long. And it's supposed to be in the high 50s!
In the pictures below I'm wearing another one of my Pin Up Girl Clothing Jenny skirts. I have three of them. I love how thick they are. I can't wait to try them out with my petticoat that I'll be getting in the mail very soon! I think it's going to pair wonderfully with these skirts. This skirt is my favourite of the three. It has a pattern on it of scenes in Paris. This outfit feels very spring-like to me. I paired the skirt with a lot of pastel accessories. This orange cropped cardigan doesn't match with too much in my wardrobe, but it definitely pairs perfectly with this outfit! When I bought if off of eBay, the colour on my computer screen was a darker orange, and I thought I'd be able to pair it with a lot of skirts and dresses.
Cropped cardigan: eBay
Tank top: Target
Skirt: Pin Up Girl Clothing
Belt: Viva La Dulce Marina
Necklace, bracelet, brooch: Etsy
