Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Hello there! Well, the past three work days seemed to go by ever so slowly, but now I can't believe tomorrow is my last day already! I'm definitely ready for it. It's just going to be sad to leave my good friend who works there. (I met her there, too.) But, I know I'll be seeing a lot of her; she's a bridesmaid in my wedding! I'm going to be working in an office with a lot less people, and I think most of them are older than me. So, I don't know if I'll really make any friends there. I'm not worried about that though, my only concern is doing a good job there, and feeling comfortable.
I'm going out to lunch with a few people from work tomorrow, to the pizza place I go to every week there with my good friend. Then after work I'm going out for a drink with some people from work, too. Friday I have no work! I made my last day Thursday, so that I could have a few hours at home Friday, before Bob and I head out to The Sands (a casino) for his 30th birthday!! We're both pretty excited for it.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my newest Modcloth dress! I didn't even have to pay for it, which is SO nice. I used cash back rewards on my credit card for it. I love the cute, 50's-style print of the dress, and the pops of red and blue. It came with the belt, too.
This dress is from Modcloth's Bea & Dot line. It is their own in-house clothing line. This is my forth dress from the line, and I also have one skirt. I love most of the items in the line! So many cute, colourful, fun prints. This dress is quite tight on my chest, but luckily the buttons do button, and hopefully they stayed closed all day! The waist fits well, it's just slightly big. Since it was pouring all day/night yesterday, we took these pictures inside. Of course the lighting was pretty poor.

Admit One

Hello there! We are having another beautiful day here in NJ, going to be 79 degrees today! The highlight of my day is that "Mad Men" premieres tonight! I'm sad it's the final season though, ugh. One of my other favourite shows ended in September, "Breaking Bad." There's so few good shows on TV. We don't get HBO or Showtime either. And most of my favourite shows are on those channels- "Boardwalk Empire," "Shameless," and "Game of Thrones." Usually I have to wait on they are on DVD, and then I take them out of the library to watch.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my first Modcloth dress I purchased, over a year ago. Way back when the obsession was just in the infancy stage! I'm so glad I discovered Modcloth! I feel completly "me" in the clothes, shoes, and jewelry I order from them. And it makes me so happy to wear bright colours and funky patterns. I've always been VERY into fashion and shopping, and I've gone through a few fashion stages in my life. But, this stage feels the most "me," and makes me the happiest.

Rainbow Spiral Dress

Hello there! It's so nice to have a three day weekend this weekend, as well as next weekend. Yesterday I didn't do that much, but sometimes I don't mind that. I did do laundry, go to the library, read, and watch "12 Years A Slave" though. I'm glad I finally got to see the movie, and it was good of course. I had wanted to see it when it was in theaters, but we missed it. Now it's available On Demand, so that's how I watched it. It's so much cheaper to watch movies On Demand than to go to the movies!
Today my only plans are to clean the apartment, work out, and go to Walmart. And either today or tomorrow Bob and I are going to a local florist to pick out flowers for the altar at the church for the wedding. I think we're just going to stay in tonight, probably watch more of "The Sopranos". We're on Season 3 now.
Next weekend we're going away for a night for Bob's 30th birthday! I can't wait. We're going to a casino in Pennsylvania. I'm not sure how many of Bob's friends are meeting us there. Bob and his friends plan things very last minute, whereas I'm very much the opposite!
And let me rave a bit about this WEATHER!!!! Oh my gosh, right now I can feel the sun streaming through the blinds and it's very warm. It's only 9:20 am, too! It's supposed to be a high of seventy-one today, seventy-eight tomorrow, (!!!) and seventy-four on Monday. AND it's not supposed to rain again until Tuesday. Wow! These temperatures are perfection.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a very colourful Modcloth dress! It's from their Bea & Dot line. I currently have three dresses and one skirt from that line, as well as another dress on its way to me!

Big News!

Hello there! Today I worked from home, because we still don't have power in our office. The power went out around 2:30 pm yesterday, because there was construction somewhere locally, and a worker hit a line. I thought for sure the power would be back on by this morning! I was shocked to find out it wasn't. We also left work early yesterday, to go home and finish the work day from home.
It's definitely nice to work from home once in awhile. And I have off tomorrow! I took a personal day tomorrow, because....I GOT A NEW JOB!! And I had one personal day, so I figured I might as well use it before I go. (They don't pay out for unused personal days once you leave.) I have worked at my current job for two years and nine months. My last day is next Thursday.
I start my new job the following Monday, and I can't wait! I'm going to be an administrative assistant. This is the job I have wanted since I graduated college five years ago. With the crash of the economy, I didn't have any luck until now! It's been a long time coming. It barely even seems real to me!
There are so many exciting things going on in my life right now. Big changes! Two months from the day I start my new job is my wedding! Luckily my new job is fine with me taking off for two weeks. I was nervous to tell them about that, because I didn't know if it would deter them from picking me.
On another positive note- this weather! Today is such a gorgeous, sunny day. It's around sixty-five degrees out. Sunday and Monday are supposed to be a high of seventy-two degrees; I can't wait for that! It's just so, so nice to see and feel the sun so much more now! It was a long time coming.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress my mom made me in October. I also have it in a blue version from Modcloth. (But with a collar, buttons on the top part, and a fuller skirt.) I love both of them so much! The pie print is just too cute. I obviously can't get enough of food prints on clothing! I love my pie dresses paired with this Luxulite fruit brooch.

Little Houses

Hello there! What a gorgeous day it is outside! It's about 60 degrees, and very sunny. It feels so nice! This morning I went with my mom to the store where I got my wedding dress, to meet with a seamstress. She's going to hem the dress so it's a length I won't be stepping on in the front, and going to add the bustle, and also shorten the straps of the dress so it fits better up top. Once she put the pins in so I could see how the dress is going to look, I was SO happy!! Shortening the straps just a little bit makes such a difference! I really like how the bustle is going to look, also.
I'll be going back there May 12th to try it one more time and make sure it's all set to go. And that should be the last time we go out to the shop! At the store I tried my dress on with my wedding shoes. I get so many compliments on them! They add a great pop of colour, that's for sure.
Yesterday I went shopping for Easter decorations out in Pennsylvania with my mom and aunt. Where we went is about two hours away from where I met my mom and aunt, (I drove half an hour to meet them.) so there was a lot of driving. My mom was very generous and got me three Easter decorations, as well as two Christmas ones, and one Halloween one. We first went to a store called Stamm House. It's run by a husband and wife, and they make almost everything there in the back. They are so talented! They make everything with a retro look to it. (The five items I got at that store are in the pictures below.)
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my four house print dresses. They're all from Modcloth. This dress pairs perfectly with my newest pair of B.A.I.T. Idas in blue.

Route 66 Dress

Hello there! The weather is SO nice right now!! I think this is the nicest day we've had since probably October. The high was around 60 degrees, and it's been sunny all day. When I went out to my car at lunch break to read, I didn't even need a coat. Love that! Spring and summer just make me feel so much more positive and hopeful.
Tonight Bob and I are going to his parent's house to have cake for his dad's birthday. Bob's dad, brother, and Bob all have birthdays within one month. Bob's is only two and a half weeks away now! I got one of his gifts, and he recently told me another item he wants, which luckily I can just pick up locally.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Modcloth dress. And I have on new red lipstick! I received it in the mail last week. I got sick of wearing lipstick that wore off so quickly. This lipstick is much better quality than any others I've tried before. It's also more money of course, but I think it's worth it. It's Stila brand, and the shade is called Beso. I think the shade of red is just perfect. It came recommended from a girl whose blog I read, and Instagram I follow. I love getting great recommendiations from my online friends! I've gotten some really excellent ones.
