Hello there! Bob and I had a great time at Brew Work's yesterday. It was raining all day and night, so we ate and had drinks inside. It wasn't too crowded either, which is nice. When we got home we just relaxed and watched a couple of documentaries. Today is dreary out as well, so no pool or beach time this weekend. I will just be reading, working out, relaxing on the couch, and maybe doing a Target run. Bring on the four day work week!
Next Saturday my family is having a BBQ, and so is Bob's. They both start at the same time too, ha. I will probably go to mine first, and leave early to go to Bob's. I have family from Alaska who will be at this BBQ. I haven't seen them in probably about four years. Also, my sister will be home. I haven't seen her in two months. She's moving to Nashville in the beginning of August, with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend actually is there looking at apartments this weekend, and signed the lease on one yesterday!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new orange Le Bomb Shop top. I have this top in four other colours. I got two from Le Bomb Shop and two from a booth at Viva Las Vegas (Oblong Box Shop). They are priced well, this one was $24 and free shipping. I love this shade of orange. It can be pretty difficult to find cute orange clothing. I don't have too many skirts yet that match this top, but at least my bird skirt matches. I bought this skirt from Modcloth, and it's Retrolicious brand. Retrolicious has so many colourful, fun prints. I also look forward to seeing their new releases. They also always have great Christmas-y prints, too! I've been pairing these yellow B.A.I.T. Idas with sooo many outfits since I received them. They add such a fun pop of colour. I very impatiently waited for them for months to come out!
Also, my new Luxulite toucan brooch is perfect to wear with this outfit. I also have a dress with a bird print, so I will of course be pairing the brooch with that as well.

A Few Of My Favourite Things: New Orleans, Ice Cream, Shoes, & Trashy Diva
Hello there! Today I'm going to my parent's house for Mother's Day. My sister won't be there, since she came home last weekend. My one grandmother will be there, and I think my mom's parents will be there, too. (I know they were just away in Maine, and my mom hadn't been sure what day they were coming back.) I'm also going to work out, and maybe run to Target, since I couldn't go yesterday, because when I went out to my car, my car wouldn't start! Bob and I are watching Anthony Bourdain's show "Parts Unknown" and "Mad Men" tonight, too.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva French Quarter skirt. It's such a treasured piece in my collection. I bought it from someone on a Trashy Diva fan club group I am in on Facebook. It was two sizes bigger than my other Trashy Diva skirt, so I thought it'd be big on me. But, it's not! It fits perfectly. It definitely runs smaller than my other TD skirt, and it has no give in the waist. My other skirt has give. The outfit I'm wearing represents two of my favourite things: New Orleans and ice cream!

Junk Food Explosion
Hello there! Tonight after work I met up with my good friend for dinner. Tomorrow night Bob and I are going to visit my grandmother, and Saturday I'm going to my cousin's baby shower. It's at my parent's house. I'll get to visit my pets, too! Can't wait for that. I'm bringing chocolate oatmeal cookies to the shower. They are one of my all time fav cookies, and I am a cookie monster! They are one of Bob's fav cookies, as well.
We are supposed to have another beautiful weekend. This weather has made me feel so much more content! I needed this sunshine so badly, after being so deprived for so long. The fresh air cirulating in our apartment smells so good, too.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my very favourite prints. I have this print in a dress, too, and a purse. It's so bright & fun! I scored this print from an Etsy shop. I wish I could find more online shops that sell handmade, fun circle skirts with cute patterns/bright colours, and for a reasonable price!

Handmade Decorations
Hello there! Yesterday I went shopping in Pennsylvania with my mom, about two and a half hours away. We went to a few shops that sell holiday decorations. The first stop is my favourite. It's a small shop run by a husband and wife. They handmake everything they sell, and they do vintage reproduction. They are very talented artists. In the pictures below are the items I got. I also got a small feather tree (not pictured) to hang Easter eggs from. They are a rare breed; I asked my mom if she knows of anyone else who makes items like they do, and she said no. They even sell their products to catalogs. The really great thing is they are very reasonably priced. My mom and I have been going out there twice a year. We'll be going again in September/October. Can't wait to see the new Halloween & Christmas items they have then! And last night Bob and I went to his parent's house to celebrate his dad's 60th birthday. As much as I like relaxing weekends, it's also nice to sometimes do fun day trips.
Today I'll be cleaning, doing laundry, working out, and packing some more. After work tomorrow I'm meeting my grandmother and my mom at Panera. My grandmother is flying back tonight from California; she's been there since the beginning of October.
I really love the shirt I'm wearing in the pictures below. I want it in a bunch of colours, to pair with my skirts. It's cheap too, $22.50, from Le Bomb Shop. I'm hoping to pick some up at Viva Las Vegas!
