Hello there! Friday night Bob and I went out for a couple of drinks, and yesterday I ran a couple of errands, and I met up with friends for lunch. Today we'll both just be staying in, as is a typical Sunday for us. Bob does a lot of cooking on Sundays, so that takes up a good chunk of his day. The only good thing about this weekend winding down, is that Christmas is soooo soon, along with a lot of days of work! I will be off next Saturday-Wednesday, and then again that Saturday-Tuesday. So, 9 days off in total; pretty exciting! Work has been pretty hectic lately, and has been so off and on since mid August, so I'm really looking to a lot of time off to decompress from it.
I wrapped most of the presents I've bought last night, and I'm officially all done Christmas shopping, which is great.
If my parents are feeling better tomorrow (they've both been sick with a stomach virus), Bob and I will be meeting them tomorrow at my great uncle's house for belated birthday cake for my dad and great uncle's birthdays. Friday I'm getting out of work early, because there's a work Christmas party.
In the pictures below I'm wering my new The Oblong Box Shop Christmas skirt. I first saw a picture of the skirt over a month or so ago, and the shop said it was coming in the beginning of December. I eagerly stalked their Instagram and signed up for an email alert, to know when it would become available. I quickly snatched it up when it launched. The print is adorable, with little dogs, Christmas tree, candy canes, etc. Another thing I love about the skirt is that the background color is pink. I love a Christmas print with a lot of pink in it.
The skirt is a couple of inches too big in the waist for me, but it does run pretty true to the size chart. I was between sizes, so I sized up. Better than to have it be loose, than too tight, though, right?? I think it looks cute worn with my red belt, anyway.

Tree Skirt
Hello there! Well, our weekend plans got a wrench thrown in them, becaue of the snow. It started snowing here a couple of hours ago, so Bob has to salt/plow this weekend. He really hates when the snow comes during the weekend, instead of during the week.
Last night we went to my parent's house for cake for my dad's birthday, but we couldn't stay long, because we had to get back so Bob could go to bed at a decent time, since he had to wake up early to get ready to salt/plow. My grandparents were there last night, too. My mom made her triple layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing that she makes for family birthdays, and it's the BEST chocolate cake ever. It's so rich, and makes me thirsty, ha!
Tonight we were going to go over Bob's dad's house for dinner, but that had to get cancelled due to the snow. Tomorrow Bob was going to go with me to a small antique show, but now he won't be going. I'm still going to go, though.
Today I'll just be staying in, cleaning, doing laundry, working out, and then just relaxing.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Oblong Box Shop ceramic tree print skirt that I got a year ago. Oblong Box Shop has such super cute Christmas print skirt. My reindeer one is also from OBS. I get endless compliments on both skirts. I have a smaller collection of antique ceramic trees: 3 so far, so I really appreciate this skirt! Plus the skirt is super colorful, so what's not to love about it? I get such a small window of time to rock my Christmas outfits, so I try to make the most of it, and wear them a lot during that window. I've been wearing my Erstwilder Christmas lights brooch a lot since getting it last month.

Retro Market
Hello there! Bob and I had a good day out in Pennsylvania yesterday, in spite of the rain and traffic we encountered. It's just over a two hour drive to Lancaster for us, and we got there a little after 10 a.m. We went to the Retro Market antique show, and it was the very first one they'd had. The same people who put on Retro Fest in July (which we went to this past July), also put on the Retro Market. I hope they'll continue to put on both shows!
I had a lot of success yesterday. My best finds were two adorable vintage dresses for a total of $40! Vintage clothes shopping is not an easy feat, especially if you're not tiny, as the medium to larger sizes are harder to find. The red dress I got fits me pretty well, just a little big in the waist, and the gingham dress I got is very big in the waist, so I'm going to see if my mom can take it in for me, and for now, I'll just be belting it. I got my first vintage purse at the show, and it's a cheery shade of yellow. I got that for $15, and a blue flower enamel brooch for $8.
I also got a small fruit lithograph print that I'll hang on the wall. As for my Christmas-y finds at the show: I got a plastic Santa Claus cookie jar, a new book on vintage Christmas with the CUTEST graphics, a dish towel with a super cute, bright, bell print, and a smallChristmas gift for my mom.
The show was on the small side, but that's okay, because I got enough great finds! I also saw Joann there, a woman I met at the July show, after following each other on Instagram.
My dad happened to ask us Friday night when we saw him, if we'd be stopping in Adamstown on the way there or back. I totally forgot it's right on the route to Lancaster!
So, Bob wasn't excited ha, but he was very sweet and let me go to two antique malls in Adamstown on the way back. It was a long day for him, with all the shopping, driving in the annoying rain, and the traffic.
I found a few small items in Adamstown: a Christmas apron that I LOVE, a board game with adorable graphics, a really cute Scotch tape container, and my very first petticoat! Can you believe I never had a petticoat before?! I got it for $13, too, ha. I got really good deals yesterday! I definitely won't be wearing the petticoat to work, but I will start wearing it on weekends.
I'm really glad we went, and I'm looking forward to going to Retro Fest again, this July!
There's so much amazing antiquing out in that area of Pennsylvania,a nd I love going.
My mom and I are probably going to Adamstown over Christmas break. It's better when my mom brings me, instead of Bob, because she has more fun, ha.
Oh, and I got TONS of compliments on my outfit yesterday! First when I got to the show, I was walking around with my coat on (which also could be worn as a dress), and people thought I was wearing it as a dress, and were complimenting my outfit. I got hot later on, took of the coat, and then was getting compliments on my reindeer skirt outfit, and a couple people asked if I had changed my outfit, ha! Nope, just took off my coat.

Puffer Fish
Hello there! Is it Friday yet?? It's a short week, and I'm still antsy for it to be Friday arleady, ha! I have a half day on Friday too, so tomorrow is my last full day this week. This week's been pretty quiet thus far, but on Friday Bob and I are headed to Wildwood and Cape May for three nights. It'll be SO nice to get away, especially after all the stress and sadness of the last few months. We haven't been away at all, even for a long weekend, since May.
We wanted to go on this trip during July or August but were unable to because of his mom's health, so I don't think we'll even get to swim in the ocean due to the cooler weather. It's only supposed to be 70 degrees while we're there. But, it's supposed to be sunny every day, so that's great! If it's too cool to swim in the ocean, I am DEFINITELY swimming in the heated pool! Bob doesn't like pools, but I told him he doesn't have to go in with me, he can hang out on a lounge chair.
I started packing, and will finish tomorrow. Of course I've been planning my outfits for weeks now. It'll be nice to take outfit pictures in front of pretty and interesting backdrops, as opposed to my usual boring kitchen/dining room back drop. Another reason I can't wait to have a house, is to have different back drops to choose from, including using different areas of our yard. We have no privacy where we currently live, which is why I rarely take pictures outside here.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Oblong Box Shop puffer skirt that I got a couple of years ago, and my Pin Up Girl Clothing purple Harley top. I don't have too many skirts that this top matches with; but it matches this one quite well. This print is just too cute.

Antiquing Success
Hello there! Well, yesterday I really lucked out antiquing! I went antiquing by myself, and I actually do enjoy shopping by myself, so I can really concentrate on what I'm looking at and making up my mind. The shops are on each side of Main Street in the town, so I parked at one, and asked them if there was a particular parking lot somewhere that I could park, and jus walk around town. The woman was nice enough to let me park in the back of her shop and leave my car there. I went in a few shops, until I got to the one I went there specifically for. The booth I was looking for was all the way in the back of the store, and it was pretty small, BUT, had a lot I wanted!
I posted pictures below of my haul, and everything in the pictures, except for the two Pyrex mixing bowls and the Christmas tree topper. Most of the items in this shop were 20% off, which was great. I asked the woman who rang me up about it, and she said that it's a year round thing; having 20% off most items. I was most excited to get that light up ceramic Christmas tree! I had been wanting one for a longgg time, but never went for it. This is definitely my favorite one I've ever seen. I like the white ones more; the colors really pop on them! Those are the first vintage ornaments I've bought, and are my favorite kind; they're called indented ornaments. The gum drop garlands will pair so perfectly with my sweets themed Christmas ornaments!
When I got home from shopping, my reindeer The Oblong Box Shop skirt was waiting for me! I had been dying for this skirt, a soon as the shop released a preview of it a few weeks ago. I can not wait to wear it! I think I'll start wearing it right after Thanksgiving. The colors in are amazing, and the trees look like bottle brush trees, ad I am a huge fan of bottle brush trees! TOBS is coming out with another Christmas skirt, launching December 1, which I also really want, plus it's especially perfect for me now, because on the bottom of the skirt are light up ceramic trees, ha. I posted a pic below of the skirt.
