Hello there! Well, this weekend has been another gorgeous one, weather-wise. We have been sooo lucky this summer so far, to have such beautiful weekends! I don't think it's rained once on a summer weekend. Also, we haven't had much humidity at all in weeks, which is very unusual for August in New Jersey!
Last night was fun at my parent's house. We were there to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. My sister is also home for the weekend, so she was there. And my dad's cousin and his wife came over, too. We don't see them that much.
My mom finished another dress for me, and I got it from her last night. I love it! And it fits better than the last one she made me. She's taking that one in for me soon. I will post pictures of the new one she made me soon.
Today Bob and I are going to my grandparent's house for dinner, My parents, sister, and other grandmother will also be there. And tomorrow I'm meeting my good friend at Panera after work.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my favourite house print dress. (I have four!) This one is my favourite, because of the colours in it! So much pink, orange, & yellow, and those are my three fav colours, and I just love how they look together. The necklace I'm wearing just goes perfectly with this outfit.

Perona Farms
Hello there! I know I just posted pictures of me wearing my new ice cream print dress that my mom made me, but, here are some more! Ha. I just had to pair the dress with my new Keds sprinkles print sneakers! I'm obsessed with these sneaks. They are so perfect for me! They were on sale for $35, with free shipping. They have free shipping on all orders! I've actually never had a pair of Keds. (That I can remember.)
When I found them online they only had one size left! A size 10. I'm a size 9...so I was praying they wouldn't be toooo big on me. They are big, but I bought these inserts to put in the back of the shoes, and it does help a bit. They are still a little big, but it's fine. :)
The first few pictures are from my trip to visit a possible reception site for our wedding! I went with my mom and Bob yesterday. We visited a place called Perona Farms. It's really beautiful there! T
hey have two options for receptions. One is inside an old barn, the other is the typical ballroom option. The barn reception is more expensive. They recently renovated the inside of the barn. It's so nice/rustic in there! There are plenty of areas on their property to take beautiful pictures. They have an apple orchard and a lake with fountains in it, as well as a bridge over the lake.
I had been to Perona Farms once for a wedding and reception, a few years ago. I didn't really remember what it looked like or how was the food was. Bob says he remembers that their food is really good. (He used to go there when he was a lot younger with his family for brunch.)
Today, I'm going to another reception site with Bob and my mom. It's actually two minutes from our apartment. Later on I'm heading up to my parent's house to celebrate my grandmother's 86th bday! Having dinner there, and my mom's amazing triple layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing. It is the BEST!

Home Sweet Home (I Got Engaged!)
Hello there! We had a great trip! We got back from our vacation last night around 10:30. It took us a lot longer to get home than it should have, because in the first half or so of the trip we hit a lot of traffic. We had left Virginia Beach around 11:30 am, so it was a very long car ride! I felt bad for Bob though, since he had to do all the driving. (I don't know how to drive stick.)
This trip was the best trip I've ever been on, because we GOT ENGAGED!!! He proposed right after midnight on Thursday night/Friday morning. He wanted to do it at that time, because it was exactly 4 years, and 9 months of dating. (Novemeber 2 is our dating anniversary.) He did it when we were walking along the beach, on our way back to our hotel. It definetly took me by surprise! I was expecting he would propose sometime soon. But, I really didn't know when. I'm VERY happy!
It stills seem surreal though. It sounds so grown up- to say: "I'm engaged! I have a fiance." Ha. It'll take some getting used to. But, I love telling people about it! Since it happened so late at night, I didn't want to call and wake up my parents, sister, or friends. I was itching to call them though, ha.
I called my mom first on Friday morning. (My parents were on vacation in Boston at the time.) My dad wasn't close by her though, so then I had to call up my dad. Then I waited until when I thought my sister and best friend would be on their lunch breaks at work, which I guessed right, and reached them both on their breaks. My sister was the one who was most excited! She was screaming and crying. It was cute, ha.
I wanted to wait until I told the most important people to me about it, and also until Bob reached his family and told them, until I posted it on Facebook. So, by yesterday evening I had reached almost all the people I wanted to tell via phone. I have another friend I will call soon and tell, but she doesn't use Facebook ha, so there's no threat of her finding out online before I call.
The ring is so unique looking. I've never seen a ring like this before! I love it, and think it's beautiful. A lot of people have been saying how unique it is. He said that's why he picked it out for me, since he knows I love unique items! :)
So, that's why my first outfit blog post since vacation is going to show pictures of the ring!
I'm wearing a maxi dress in the pictures below. I've never bought one before, or ever even tried one on! I always thought that they wouldn't right on me, because of my body type. But, I thought this one looked decent! And I had to snap it up, because of the rainbow colours! I couldn't resist, ha.
Sometimes I find such great items at Marshall's. It's Calvin Klein brand, and usually that brand fits me well, and is flattering on me. I wore it both with the thick black belt, and also without. I like it both ways.
The rainbow shown below, we saw on our last night of the trip. (Friday night.) It was so beautiful! I almost never see rainbows. But, then on our drive up yesterday, while we were in Delaware, I spotted another rainbow!!! I couldn't believe it- two rainbow sightings within 24 hours. I took it as a sign. :)
Here we go:

Leaf-style necklace: Francesca's CollectionsSquare bead necklace: Modcloth

New Handmade Ice Cream Dress!
Hello
there! My mom finished the first dress for me! I picked it up tonight. I
reallyyyy love it. It's a little big in the bust/waist, but this thick
black belt helps to hide that. She's going to take it in for me a bit when she
gets home from vacation. I just think the pattern and colours are so amazing! I have this dress in green, I got it from Modcloth in June. I love both of them, but I definetly love pink more than green, ha. This dress is pretty close to a coral shade.
My new Francesca's Collections necklace paired well the coral and yellow in the dress. I love this necklace so much, I keep reaching for it to pair with outfits.
Ahh, thank God tomorrow is Friday!!! But, the day is definetly going to drag since it's my last day at work before vacation. I am already on vacation in my mind, ha!

Dress: Handmade by my mom!
Belt: Kohl's
Necklace and bracelet: Francesca's Collections
Sandals: Modcloth (Saltwater Sandals)

Orange/Pink/Red
Hello there! Ugh, it's Monday yet again. I won't be doing much tonight, besides working out. My mom might stop by for a little bit too, she wants me to try on the top part of a dress she's making for me. It'll be nice to relax tonight. I'm still a little tired from my lack of sleep this weekend.
In the pictures below, I'm wearing a top I bought at Macy*s yesterday. I love the colours in the top.... the bright orange, red, pink, and blue especially. This necklace matches perfectly with it. I have three necklaces like this, and I love them. I frequently wear orange, pink, and red. The bright blue shade of my tank top/the bright blue in the top, seem to be quite popular lately. I've been finding a lot of items in this shade of blue, and it's my favourite shade of blue.
Shirt: Macy*s (Cable & Gauge brand)
Tank: Express
Shorts: Express
Sandals: Zappos.com (Saltwater Sandals brand)
Necklace: Shop in NYC
Bracelet: Express
Ring: Gift from my sister

Happy Friday!
Hello there! I got a lot of compliments on my ice cream dress. I really love it, and know I'll be wearing it a lot. I wish it was warmer in New Jersey longer, so that I could wear my warm weather clothes more than I get to!!
I'll be getting out of work early today, which is lovely. :) I don't know yet how early though. It kept seeming like yesterday was Saturday. Having a day off during the week throws me off. But, that's okay! Ha.
Here are some pictures from yesterday:
Dress: Modcloth
