Hello there! Well, it's snowing once again...third time in 6 days. I left work a little early; at 3:00, and the roads weren't great on my ride home. I drove slowly, and didn't slide until I was about a mile from my apartment. I slid the three times I had to make a turn onto another road or into our apartment complex parking lot. It was pretty scary; I'm not a fan of sliding while driving!
We had a two hour delay yesterday due to the snow, and this rate, we'll be having many more of them this winter. A very nice perk of working at a school is the delays and snow days; so I usually don't have to drive in ice or snow, but once in awhile it'll happen, like it did this afternoon.
Tonight I'm supposed to go out to dinner with my family, and then go over my great uncle's to have his cake for his birthday, but now I'm not sure if either of those things will happen, due to the snow. If the snow does clear up soon, and the roads improve, Bob still wouldn't be able to go because he'll be out plowing. So, it's annoying, for sure.
Tomorrow Bob and I will be going to my boss's house for my work Christmas party. I'm looking forward to it, and there'll be more people going than last year.

It is quite big in the waist, but otherwise, it's perfect. I love the shade of red that the background color is, love the buttons, and the cute fair print.

Hello there! It's been so chilly here the past couple of mornings! It was 40 degrees yesterday morning, and our heat wasn't working, and hasn't worked yet. Bob called the complex today to let them know; this has also happened the last two Octobers, where we had to call and complain, and then they sent someone out to fix it. They couldn't fix it today, because the temperature quickly rose, and the heat only works if it's 50 degrees or lower. So, they said to watch it tonight, and see if it works then.
This week has been super busy at work so far, which does make the day fly by, but can also be a bit stressful. It hasn't been that stressful yet, but I did have something frustrating come up at the end of the day today, so I stayed a little late, but I couldn't figure it out before I left. I'll be working on it again first thing in the morning, and luckily my co-worker is going to help me, as she has done before with this issue. There's some things I need to get done this week at work, before I go away on Sunday(!), so that does add a little pressure.
I can't believe I'm going away in 5 days! I can't wait to traipse the streets of the French Quarter with my mom, doing lots of shopping and eating yummy things, especially Po-boys. We're also going to go to the Botanical Gardens there, and I've never been there before.
My mom is very into flowers, so I figured it was a good idea for something for us to do.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my very first Vivien of Holloway purchase, which I received today! I had thought about ordering from the company for a couple of years, and I finally did it. Bob paid for part of the dress as a birthday present to me. Shirt dresses are my very favorite dress style to wear, and I love this one! The style is called Kitty. I love the length, the pockets, the buttons, the print, and the background shade of red, which is my favorite shade of red. The print is of a fair of carnival. The dress is also comfortable, and will be perfect to wear to work or outside of work. It fits my chest well; there's not even button gaping, but it is really big on my waist, so I just added the belt to hide that.
