Pink Shorts

Hello there! Happy Wednesday. Can't wait for this work week to hurry up & be over already.
In the pics below, I'm wearing an outfit I wore on Sunday when we ran errands and went to the street fair. The necklace I'm wearing is one of my favourite pieces of jewelry. It's so me! So colourful and bright. I got it from Etsy.com. I love the shorts I'm wearing, too. That shade of pink is so lovely.
I love that it's warm enugh out now that I can wear shorts and tanks without being cold at all.
Last night I had dinner at Panera with my grandmother.  And also went home to my parent's for a little bit, and got to see my beloved kitties. Lucy is in the last picture I have posted here. She's such a beauty.

Start of a Three Day Weekend!

Hello. Well, finally the three day weekend is here! My job surprised us by letting us leave an hour and a half early today. It was great! Tonight I met my grandmother for dinner at Panera. We had a really good time. It was so great to see her in person again, and catch up more. (We talk on the phone while she's out in Cali.) I had broccoli cheddar soup and bread. They gave me a bigger chunk of bread than usual, ha. So, that was good!
My friend's coming over here in a few mintutes. We're just going to hang out here at the apartment, I think.
Of course the weather got crappy right as the weekend approached! It was so hot & humid early in the week, like summer. Now, it cooled down a lot and rained off and on all day/night so far. It's so cool out that I was cold even with a trench coat on! I left for work this morning like I had the other mornings this week- with no sweater/jacket on. It was a little chilly out when I walked to my car. But, when my friends and I left work to go out for lunch, it was quite cool! I was cold with just my shirt & jeans on.
In the first two pictures below are geese. I saw the parents and about seven little babies yesterday. So adorable! But, they were on the side of a very busy road. I hope they left that area!
In the other pictures below, I am wearing one of my favourite tops. I love the shades of pink and orange in the shirt, and I think the style is quite flattering. I like cowl neck style shirts a lot. And this shirt matches so many of my shoes and accessories!!

Soup and a storm

Well, the work week is officially 3/5 of the way over....getting towards the weekend, slowly but surely! Tonight, Bob and I met my parents at Panera for dinner. We had a good time. I love Panera! I almost always get broccoli cheddar soup, with bread. It's delicious.
Right now we're having our first thunder & lightning storm of the year. Luckily the rain calmed down by the time we were leaving Panera!
It was SO warm out today!! It got up to 80 degrees. I'll gladly take it! :) In New Jersey, most years it feels like Spring is mostly skipped...we seem to drift from the frigid cold and precipitation of Winter, to the very warm days of Summer.
Monday and Tuesday the weather was great! In the 70's and very sunny! It's SO nice to see/feel the warm, beaming sunshine, after such a long winter. The air's been smelling different too, even. This weekend is supposed to be sunny again, but only a high of 55 each day. Oh well, it'll be great just to have more sunshine!

The shirt I have on in the pics below is one of my favs!! I think it's a flattering cut, and the colours/design are fab! It's a unique design- another great print top from Cable & Gauge. Kind of reminds me of stained glass. I love the colour combo too, it's pink, orange, red, and black.
The orange ballet flats I'm wearing are so comfy! They're from Target.  I love the shade of orange they are. A nice, bright, vivid shade.
Oh, and my necklace matches so pefectly with the shirt! I got it from this great jewelry shop in NYC, called J Fay. I bought three necklaces when I was there in October, and I can't wait to go back there! Bob and I are probably going to NYC for the day at the end of April.
