New Heels & Bracelet!

Hello there! I met two of my friends at a Starbucks today. It was really nice to catch up with them; I hadn't seen them in about a month and a half. I usually see them once a month, and we usually meet at Panera one night during the week, after I get out of work. We just talked for about three hours. One reason it's so nice hanging out with them is that they don't get on my nerves; they're genuinely nice, sweet women who know how to have good conversation. There's just too many people who don't know how to have a decent conversation because they talk over you, talk about things you have no interest in, or for various other reasons.
I also worked out today, did laundry, and did some reading. Bob's waiting to hear from some of his friends, to see if we have any plans tonight. He always does things last minute.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new B.A.I.T. Footwear yellow and white heels! I am now officially addicted to this brand! I only wish I had found out about it a lot sooner. I desperately want the tangerine and white pair. They have them in the sale section of the website, but unfortunately the biggest size available is 1 1/2 sizes smaller than my size 9 feet! Ugh.
I'm also wearing my new rainbow bracelet. I love it! I had been looking all over for a long time for a bracelet like this. I wanted a bracelet with a lot of colours in it. Surprisingly they are hard to find. I scored this one on Etsy, and it came from China. I get impatient when waiting for items to come from overseas, but this was worth the wait! It'll obviously match with a lot of my clothes, and I know I'll be wearing it a lot. I just love Etsy! There's so many amazing items on there, that you wouldn't find in stores. And it's especially great to buy handmade items. I get compliments all the time on things I've bought from Etsy.

So Many Cupcakes

Hello there! Bob and I are going to the movies later to see "American Hustle." I'm not doing too much else today...just working out and reading.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my cupcake Modcloth dress that I got in September. Of course I had to pair it with my new cupcake earrings that I got for Christmas! The earrings are just too cute. This is yet another dress that matches my new B.A.I.T. heels. I'm glad I have so many dresses that match them.

Hell Bunny Dress!

Hello there! It's sunny outside, and not that cold. I'll take it! Any bit of reprieve from the constant cloudiness, darkness, and bitter cold temperatures! I wasn't even cold when we took these pictures. I cleaned the apartment earlier and have been doing a few loads of laundry. Bob and I went out and had pizza for lunch. I also wrote a lot of thank you notes (for Christmas presents) and wedding invitation envelopes last night and today.
I'm wearing a very sunny, cheery outfit today. I'm wearing my new Hell Bunny polka dot dress that I got for Christmas from my parents. It's definitely bright red, which is of course great for me, since I can't get enough of bright colours. It's my first Hell Bunny item as well.
I wouldn't normally pair something red with something yellow, but I thought with my flats and jewelry that it pulled those two colours together. The ice cream brooch and cupcake earrings were also gifts from my parents. I really adore both items!
Tomorrow Bob and I are seeing "American Hustle" at the movies. I'm excited! We haven't been to the movies in a long time, and we both have gift cards for the movies. So, I'll get to see it for free, which is great.

Merry Christmas

Hello there! I had a pretty great Christmas. It went way too fast, as it always does! I couldn't believe how quickly Christmas Eve day and Christmas went. It was hard to go back to work today, even with the knowledge that I only have to go for two days before I have two days off again. But, it just didn't feel like a Thursday to me. When I slept over my parent's on Christmas Eve, one of their cats slept with me all night! I was so glad she did, and when I come home to my parent's I always want to take Lucy with me when I leave! She's in the first picture below.
I got my first Pin Up Girl Clothing dress on Christmas! Bob gave it to me- I had picked it out, and was so excited to finally be able to wear it! It fits like a glove, and I am just in love with the print on it! And I love how my new pink B.A.I.T. heels look with the dress.
I actually placed an order today with Pin Up Girl Clothing. I used some of my Christmas money, and got a skirt and dress. They're having a great sale now, 25% off sitewide! And I got free shipping. I just hate paying for shipping! I can definitely see Pin Up Girl Clothing becoming very addicting, as it already feel like it's starting to be.
For Christmas I also got a Hell Bunny polka dot dress, two books, a DVD, a wallet, jewelry, a scarf, a belt, lotions, ornaments, money, gift cards, and a few small items. Bob also gave me a Cheesecake Factory gift card! I wasn't expecting any other gifts, since we talked about what our price limit would be.
I almost never buy books for myself, I'd rather get them out of the library for free. So, every Christmas I do ask for some books. I'm almost done with a book I took out of the library, so as soon as I am I'll start in on the books my parents gave me! Reading has always been something that I love.

Some of my favourite gifts!

My sister, mom, grandmother, and me!

Gingerbread Houses

Hello there! Today I think I'm just staying in. My mom and sister are seeing a movie at night, but I don't think I'm going to meet them for that. My sister is stopping by in the afternoon though for a couple of hours. I'm going to work out, and start writing out envelopes for the wedding invitations, but don't really have other plans. Getting up to go to work tomorrow will at least not be so bad, since I know that I will have the next two days off!
Bob and I had a good time last night at my parent's house. Only two of their friends came over. Usually they have eight friends there. (Four couples.) I took some pictures of some of my mom's Christmas decorations. She has SO many! She has so many that she can't even put all of them out. I really love her decorations, especially because most of them are retro! My parents collect antiques, and they used to have a lot more. A few years ago my dad sold almost his whole sign/thermometer collection. I never used to appreciate their collection growing up, but now I really do! They used to drag my sister and I to antique stores, antique markets, etc. when we were young, and I hated going. I was always so bored. But, now I love the fact that they collected all these amazing items over many years, and amassed quite a collection of antique toys, holiday decorations, advertising signs/thermometers, etc.
Last night I wore my gingerbread house dress that my mom made me a couple of months ago. (I picked out the fabric for it.) I get so many compliments on this dress! And when I tell people she made it for me, people usually react in a shocked manner. I know I'm very lucky that she's a great seamstress, and enjoys making dresses for me. Bonus: my new B.A.I.T. heels match perfectly with the dress!
