Pies, Of Course

Hello there! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I had a nice one. I went to my grandparent's in the early afternoon. After that, my parents and I stopped over at my great uncle's house, and then stopped at my dad's cousin's house to visit. It was weird though, because it was the first Thanksgiving I've ever not spent with my sister. She'll be home next month for Christmas though. I had to wear my pie dress again this year; it's the third year in a row I've worn it for Thanksgiving.
Today's been really nice and relaxing, although I woke up around 5:40, ha! I had to use the bathroom, and then since I felt pretty wide awake, I didn't bother trying to go back to sleep.  still feel fine, so that's good. Luckily, my body/mind function pretty well when I don't have enough sleep, and I very rarely feel tired. Regardless, I'm definitely sleeping later than that tomorrow! It's kind of good though that I was awake then, because I snagged some ornaments from Everyday is a Holiday, and a couple of them sold out right after. (Although, they will be restocking.) I had waited SOOO long for them to release their ornaments! I first found out about their website a year ago, and at that I only ordered one ornament, and had to wait another whole year to get more. They make many of the items hanging on the wall in my kitchen, including the sprinkles bottle in my outfit pictures.
I also got a Heart of Haute dress, and am still thinking about getting a Heart of Haute skirt and a Pin Up Girl Clothing dress. I should probably make up my mind pretty soon, huh?

Lovely Long Weekend

Hello there! I am SUPER excited for my four day weekend! I have been counting down for quite awhile now, ha. I don't have a ton planned, but I'm happy about that. I like to relax a lot during long weeknds like this.Tonight we are putting up the tree, and I'll probably start decorating it, and finish Thursday or Friday. I think we are also going to watch "White Christmas", my favorite Christmas movie. Bob saw it for the first time last year, when I showed it to him. I couldn't believe he hadn't seen it before, but luckily he liked it, ha. I'm looking forward to having some drinks with Bob, watching the movie, and staying up (a little) late. It's a great kick-off to the long weekend, although Bob works Friday.
Tomorrow I'll be meeting my parents are my great uncle's to visit him for a bit, then we are headed to my grandparent's house for the main event, and after that we are heading to my dad's cousin's house to visit them. It's not much traveling for me though, because they all live within 15 minutes of me. Bob's going to his aunt & uncle's house. Saturday night I'll be going out with Bob and some friends, to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday.

It's bright, without being crazy bright, and it pairs so well with my many red and yellow shoes and accessories!

Lana In Space

Hello there! Last night Bob and I had a good time at my parent's house. My mom made a really delicious meal, as usual. I brought over chocolate oatmeal cookies. I hadn't seen my parents in about a month, which is longer than usual. When Bob and I got home we watched "Fargo". Watching "The Big Lebowski" Friday night made me really want to watch "Fargo" again. The Cohen brothers come up with such funny, quirky characters, and the casting is amazing. 
I'm meeting my friend today, for an early lunch at Panera. When I get back from that, I'm going to work out, take some outfit pictures, read, and just watch TV and decorate a bit. I'm also meeting up with another friend tomorrow night, right after work. I haven't seen her in six months. Since she moved about half an hour farther west then she used to live, I haven't been seeing her as much. It'll be great to catch up with her. We used to meet up with another woman as well, but she moved to Florida a few months ago.

It matches my TD rockets bolero perfectly! I wear this bolero with some of my red TD dresses as well. It adds a little pizzazz to a solid red dress. Because of the shape of the bolero's neckline, it's hard to wear necklaces with it. I love to wear necklaces (if you hadn't noticed!), but I can make a concession sometimes, ha.

Moais In Space

Hello there! Last night Bob & I watched "The Big Lebowski". I had seen it once before (Bob owns it), but not in years. I just love the Cohen brothers, they are probably my favorite directors/writers. Their movie "Fargo" is one of my all time favs. Steve Buscemi is in both of those movies, and he's my favourite actor. We've been watching the TV show "Fargo", and t's been getting better as the season goes on. It's one of the few shows on TV that we like.
Today I'm cleaning, doing laundry, and working out, and tonight we're going to my parent's house for dinner. Bob's parents are coming as well. I'll  be seeing my parents again in a few days, for Thanksgiving at my grandparent's house. The four day weekend is creeping closer! Bob only has off on Thursday. I'm very much looking forward to Friday, to relax, decorate, and shop online. I may decorate a bit this weekend, too.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Oblong Box Shop Moais in Space skirt. I have this skirt in the puffer fish print, too. I had debated ordering one for months, and then I finally decided to try it, and ordered this one first. I love both of them! They don't wrinkle at all, and are nice and full, with adorable prints. Harlequin's My Favorite

Hello there! I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday! I'm even more excited to have a four day weekend next week! It's very much needed. I'm looking forward to Black Friday (online) sales and decorating the apartment for Christmas. Tomorrow night I'm meeting up with my friend for a drink, and Saturday night Bob & I are going to my parent's house for dinner, and his parents are coming, too.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my brand new Heart of Haute harlequin print dress, which I received today. I had been waiting months for it to become available. Harlequin is my very favorite print, and it's not that easy to find. All my harlequin pieces are from Heart of Haute or Pin Up Girl Clothing. I love the colours in this dress! I wasn't sure if it would be this bright in person, but I'm so glad it is. It was a great mail day, because my Erstwilder Christmas brooches also came today, and there's a picture of them below. Can't wait to style them with my Christmastime outfits! I even have a gingerbread man skirt that'll pair perfectly with the gingerbreadman brooch!

Surprise!

Hello there! Last night Bob and I went to my friend's surprise 30th birthday party at her parent's house a few towns away. I don't really remember ever being at a surprise party before, maybe I was, but it was a long time ago, ha. She really was surprised! She started crying right away, when she saw her high school friend there, who had come in from Arizona for it. Her actual birthday is in a couple of weeks, and I think I'll be celebrating with her then too. Last night her friend told me I look like Rachel McAdams, which I never get tired of hearing, ha!! 
Bob and I were going to go to New Hope today, but I don't know if I really feel like it. I would have much preferred to go yesterday, but we couldn't, because Bob was working. I just don't like doing much on Sundays, they're for relaxing/unwinding! I think we're just going to go out to lunch in town.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a very beloved Trashy Diva dress. I got it in August, and have worn it a lot since then. It combines a couple of my favorite dress elements: the colour red, and adorable details! I love gingham, and I think the ricrac detail on the bottom is really cute. It's comfortable; there's stretchy side panels on it. I think it's a really good style for my shape as well. The sugar cookies I was wearing are new, from the woman who makes most of my polymer food jewelry. She's so talented! I have a ton of her pieces now, and they are made so well. Red Peasant

Hello there! Today I'm going to be cleaning, doing laundry, working out, reading, etc... and then at night Bob and I are meeting  up with a friend. Last night we just had a quiet night in, watched TV, and ran a couple of errands.
Viva Las Vegas is five months from today, but who's counting, ha? We haven't booked our trip yet, and Bob hasn't even given me a 100% answer yet, but I just know he'll end up saying yes, ha. He knows how badly I want to go back. He likes Vegas a lot too, and we've been there together five times now. This time we'll spend more time at Viva Las Vegas than we did last time. I also really want to go back because some girls I have met will be attending! I'd like to meet more people too, but it's hard because I'm shy. Last year most of the people I talked to were ones who said something to me first. I asked for pictures with a couple of ladies I recognized from Instagram, but I was nervous to do it. I hope this year I'll feel a little more comfortable.

I really wish they'd come out with more bright colours soon. I have it in lime green and white, as well. Yes, I Am One of Those Crazy Christmas People

Hello there! I'm not doing too much tonight...I worked out, talked on the phone to a friend, and am going to watch "Fargo" with Bob. We missed Monday because we were watching "Wentworth" on Netflix. We finished both seasons now. It got really intense towards the end of the second season, and I didn't want to stop watching it! It's a really good show, just so many twists and turns that you don't see coming. I love shows like that.
The outfit I'm wearing in the pictures below I didn't actually where out of the apartment. Since we are creeping closer to December, I wanted to try the outfit on. I scored this dress on eBay last November. I had missed out on it when it was for sale on Modcloth, and am so glad I tracked it down in my size. It just fits my chest, but I'm so glad it does fit! I love it so much, and wish I could wear it year round! I will be wearing it a lot in December, that's for sure. I think it's the most perfect Christmastime dress ever. Well, most perfect for me, that is! I definitely have to wear it with a bandeau, as it shows a ton of chest. I'm glad my new red BAIT Robbie's match it so well. 
Let me tell you, I am definitely one of those crazy Christmas people. I get it from my mother; I have never met someone more obsessed with all things Christmas. I love decorating for it most of all. My theme is probably shocking to you all...Candyland Christmas. I have sooo many sweets decorations, and they make me so happy! But, I also love buying gifts for people, and let's be real, receiving them. I get excited for it, but the only reason I don't have 100% positive feelings for December, is because I hate cold weather, and dread it every year. December, January & February are pretty much the bane of my existence. I started shopping for people this past weekend.

Trashy Diva 1940's

Hello there! This weekend's going to be a pretty quiet one for us. Bob is working today though. I'll be cleaning, doing laundry, and working out. We don't have plans to go anywhere. Next Saturday I'll be seeing a friend, and Bob and I are probably going to New Hope for the day next Sunday. My parents are visiting my sister in Nashville for a couple of days next week. It's the first time they're visiting her there. (She moved there in August with her boyfriend.) I would like to see Nashville myself. I've been to Tennessee, just not Nashville. Bob and I were watching "Wentworth" last night. We finished the first season. The last couple episodes were really intense. I'm eager to see what happens next!

Wizard of Awesome

Hello there! Ah, we're officially over that dang hump in the work week, so that's good. Bob and I aren't doing too much tonight, pretty much just relaxing. We don't have much planned for the weekend yet, except he's working Saturday, and we *may* got to New Hope for the day on Sunday. I want to, but he doesn't really want to go this weekend, since he's working Saturday. We'll probably end up going next Saturday. The weather this week has been so nice! Today was about 72 degrees and sooo sunny, not a cloud in the sky. It definitely doesn't feel like November, which is a good thing!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new to me Bernie Dexter Wizard of Awesome dress! It was one of my unicorns. I had missed out on it when Modcloth carried it. Once I saw a lot of bloggers wearing it, and how great it looked at them, I was really wishing I had gotten it. It arrived today, and I was so excited to put it on. Before I did though, I saw that the tag said a size smaller than what the listing had said! My heart sank, and I nervously tried it on. Luckily, it somehow zips over my chest! It's very tight in the chest, but nothing I'm not used to, ha. I'm just so glad it does fit, because who knows when I would find one again in my regular size. This is my second dress with a poppy print. I'm not usually that into floral prints, but I do really like my poppy dresses! My new red B.A.I.T. heels match pretty perfectly with the dress, which is a bonus.

Tropicana

Hello there! Bob made a really good dinner last night (his family came over). I loved the beef and broccoli dish! There was almost none of it left, ha. I went over to my friend's apartment after his parents left. She's moving in a month, about an hour away. I know I'll still see her a lot; she's my closest friend. Not closest distance wise, haha. It'll be an adjustment though. She's moving to be closer to her job. I also sewed a bit yesterday, and plan on doing more today. I can't wait to wear my skirt! I hope the next time it'll be a little easier. I have another fabric I bought, to make another skirt out of.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter oranges dress. I like how my hair turned out yesterday! Bob helped me do it. I'm so lucky I have him! He's come in handy, haha. It's the only hair tutorial I've attempted to re-create, and this is about the forth time I've attempted it. We are still have difficulty with the front part of my hair, with trying to give it more height. I want to watch more tutorials soon. I am just not good with replicating what I've seen, I don't retain information well, which is why I wasn't a good test taker in school. Bob on the other hand, is amazing at it!
