Hello there! I had a bit of a stressful week, so it was very nice to unwind last night at home; I had some drinks and watched "Trumbo" with Bob. I loveeee Bryan Cranston! His acting skills are outstanding. The movie was good; I previously hadn't really known anything about the House Un American Activities Committee and the blacklisting of suspected American Communists. It's pretty crazy what our country has done to different groups of people over the centuries. But, I won't get into that on here! I want to see "Black Mass" this weekend too, so we'll probably watch that one as well (watch it at home on On Demand).
Bob ended up working today, so we won't be going to Adamstown this weekend, unfortnately! I really hope we can go very soon. In two weeks I'm going out to Mifflinburg with my mom for the day. That's where I buy most of my retro looking (they are reproductions) handmade holiday decorations. I'm really looking forward to going back! We go twice a year, in the fall and spring. I just love shopping small. The art produced by "small shops" usually appeals to me a lot more, than the huge companies art does. I also like to support small business!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress I got from Modcloth a year and a half ago. It's from their Bea & Dot line. This dress has gotten a lot of wear. The print and shape of the dress are just perfect. It's a little longer than most dresses I wear, but not too long.

Hello there! I don't have too much going on this week. Tonight Bob and I went to my uncle's house, and my parents were there, too. I'm almost done re-reading "Brain On Fire", by Susannah Cahalan. I first read it about a year ago. I highly recommend it. It's a true story. It's a youg woman's (who is a journalist at the New York Post) account of a mysterious disease that she contracted. It was almost impossible for doctors to diagnose, and caused such insanity to wreak havoc on her mind and body. She had bizarre effects, and almost ended up in an insane asylum, because doctors originally thought it was a type of psychosis. A brilliant doctor got put on her case, and he ended up correctly diagnosing her, and then getting her the right treatments. I won't say more, but you should read it! It's scary, because this could happen to anyone. But, she put such a spotlight on it, that the disease is much more recognizable and correctly diagnosed now.
This Saturday I'll be meeting my friend for lunch & then going to Bob's parent's house for dinner. We haven't had dinner at his parent's in a very long time. I did see his parents for a little while last Sunday, when we went over there for Bob to work on my car.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva turquiose plaid Annette dress. I have four TD Annette dresses, and they are my favorite TD style. Purple & blue isn't my normal colour combination that I gravitate towards, but I really like this outfit.

Hello there! Last night Bob and I stayed in, and watched "Wedding Crashers". He also helped me start to sew! Well, I just sewed on a piece of paper ha, but it's a little bit of progress. He had bought me a book on how to sew a few months ago, and was encouraging me to read it. He knows how much I'll love to sew once I learn it, because there are so many cute fabrics out there, that I'd love to use! I really wish I would've just had my mom shown me years ago. Oh well, better late than never. But, for me when I read the book it goes over my head. I have to actually be at the machine doing things, than reading it in a book and then applying it. If I have any issues while I'm at the machine, I can always reference the book then. I'm very excited though. I hope it won't be too hard in the beginning. I've already picked out a pattern for skirts and two fabrics. The pattern looks pretty simple, and hopefully it is. Bob is very good at learning new tasks, so I'm happy he wants to help me. I am not as adept with new tasks ha, that is for sure.
Today's going to be pretty quiet. I'm going to read more of "The Martian" work out, and sew a little more (on fabric this time!). Other than that, I mostly will just will be relaxing.
As much as I don't want winter to come at all, I'm excited to shop for new decorations! Target always has some cute things for Christmas. They already have a tiny bit of decorations in the store by me, but nothing I have to have. Kohl's has more out, but I didn't see anything I really liked.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Tatyana nesting dolls dress.

Hello there! Well, I think I can speak for all of New Jersey when I say that we have snow/freezing rain/ice/artic temperature fatigue. This Winter has been ridiculous, and we still aren't catching a break. Yesterday when I left work it was freezing rain, and the roads were so bad. I was really scared the entire drive home. I slid a couple of times, luckily not into any cars. But, the roads had clearly barely been touched (and I was on main roads almost the whole time), and I was going about 20 mph the entire ride. Not much scares me more than driving in those conditions. Good thing starting this Sunday, the temperatures are really rising. It's supposed to be in the 40's Sunday and onward. Hope we don't regress after that!
Tonight Bob and I aren't doing too much, just staying in. My mom was going to stop by, but she cancelled because of the weather. Friday night I'm getting a drink with my good friend, and Saturday night we're having Bob's family over for dinner. Bob's going to make chili and corn bread. My mom may be stopping by on Sunday, as well.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Hell Bunny dress. I have three polka dot Hell Bunny dresses so far. I really like this shade of blue.

Hello there! Bob and I had a good time yesterday in Pennsylvania. Dinner was great, and then we went to the nearby casino, to cash out from the last time we were there. I had accidentally taken my ticket home with me before leaving last time. Of course since we were already there, we also hung out for a couple of hours there. We had some drinks, and Bob gambled a little.
Today I ran some errands in the morning, worked out, and now I'm just going to be relaxing. I also put photos from our wedding and honeymoon into a photo albulm.
Can you tell by my choice of outfit photos that I'm very excited for Spring?! Now that it's finally March, it seems more real that Spring is actually on the way; although it's currently snowing. There is light at the end of the tunnel! The dress I'm wearing is by Hell Bunny. I got it on sale from Hot Topic in the summer. I hadn't bought anything from Hot Topic in about ten years, ha.

Hello there! Not too much going on today, I'm going to work out, read, and relax. I listed a couple more items on eBay (bristolp15 is my eBay shop), and I'm ordering more wedding pictures! I ordered a wedding photo albulm yesterday, so I'm excited to put the pictures in it. I already have a lot of pictures framed in our apartment.
I'm also going to watch the Oscars pre-show tonight, and probably most of the Oscars themselves. Bob is out plowing. He woke up at 6 a.m. to go out, and probably won't be back until the early afternoon.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Trashy Diva Varga dress. I also have it in red. I bought them both when Bob and I were in New Orleans last Summer for our honeymoon. I don't often wear paler shades of colour, like the shade of this dress, but it can be pretty difficult to find brighter yellow dresses in the style I like.

Hello there! Bob and I are having a quiet day in today. I'm going to work out, and just read and watch TV. I'm excited for "Downton Abbey" tonight! And "Better Call Saul" premieres tonight, as well. Can't wait for that, too. It's the "Breaking Bad" spin-off. I'm sure it won't be as good as "Breaking Bad", but hopefully it's decent.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my Pin Up Girl Clothing harlequin dresses. I have two, and I like my other one (which has brighter colours) better than this one. But, I do still really like this one, and just am obsessed with harlequin prints in general. I got this Betsey Johnson ice cream clutch about a year ago, and I think it is just so darn cute! It's the only Betsey Johnson item I've ever owned, but, it is of course right up my alley. I was excited to discover my lobster necklace matches perfectly with this dress! Sice the lobsters are a dark red, close to a burgundy shade, they don't match with a lot of my dresses which are more bright red.

Hello there! We are halfway to spring! It's progress, at least...and it's been noticeably staying light out later, which is also great. Friday night Bob and I are going to my parent's house to visit them and the animals (two cats and one Sheltie). I don't really have plans otherwise for this weekend, but I may get together with my good friend Saturday night.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my Trashy Diva Varga dresses. I also have this dress in a light yellow shade. I bought them both while in New Orleans on my honeymoon this past summer. I love the shape of these dresses. And I can make them work appropriate by wearing my bandeau and cropped cardigan/shrug. As I've mentioned before, red dresses are my staple. I don't own any solid black dresses, because as you can probably tell, they just aren't "me"! I've also been told red is my best colour, and I love wearing it!

Hello there! This post is going to be quite short for now, because tonight I fell and landed on my right hand, and the top of my hand and bottom of my three middle fingers are hurting me, so it's not too fun to type. Hopefully this goes away soon! One good thing is: I'm left-handed!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a new Modcloth skirt. I love the pattern! It's so adorable, and just perfect for Christmas time. Gingerbread men are one of my favourite decorations.
I haven't worn it outside of the apartment yet, but definitetly will soon. It's Folter brand. Folter has such amazing, cute prints! I have a lot of dresses and skirts that are Folter.
Hello there! Tonight I worked out, and am doing laundry. I'm going to watch the new "American Horror Story" episode at 10. Of course, Bob is usually at his friend's house Wednesday nights, and I get a little frightened watching the show! I think I'm going to start ordering Christmas gifts this weekend; I'm so excited to do that! I also love buying Christmas cards, well I like buying cards for any occassion. Papyrus brand makes the best, most beautiful cards! They are quite pricey, but I think are worth it. Target carries a large selection of them, which is great.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Steady Clothing Space Cadet skirt, and my new Christmas Luxulite brooch. The both came in the mail today. I had never bought Steady Clothing brand before. I had seen this skirt on Instagram and blogs for awhile now, but ever since I first looked for it online, it was sold out everywhere. They had plus sizes on the website, but that was it. I love how full it is! Nothing beats a high-waisted, full skirt with an awesome print! I received an email a couple of weeks ago that Steady Clothing's website had restocked the skirt in all sizes, and I snatched it up right away. In person the shade of red is darker than it appears online, but that's okay. I like how big the print is. It's a little big in the waist, but not enough to bother exchanging.
I love my new Christmas tree Luxulite brooch! It's so adorable. I love Christmas-y clothes and accessories! I now have two Luxulite Christmas brooches. Katy is always coming up with such adorable designs.
