Hello there! Spring is only 2.5 weeks away now. I'm so very glad that January and February are done with, as I can't stand either of those months (because of the weather). It always makes me feel a little better/hopeful once those two months are done with.
I'm not working today, so I'm going to greatly enjoy spending the day at home! The only time I'm leaving is to run to Target later. I'm going to do a lot of reading; I started reading "The Sound of Gravel" this morning, which is a memoir (I love reading memoirs), and am going to watch "The Danish Girl", which I'm excited to see. On Saturday my mom and I are going out PA to go shopping for holiday decorations/antiques. I'm really looking forward to it. The shop we go to first has the best handmade holiday decorations (they're antique reproductions that the woman makes in her home & the shop is inside her home).
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Lena Picnic dress, and my Heart of Haute cropped cardi. I saw a couple of ladies on Instagram tying it in the back instead of tying it in a bow in the front, and I liked how it looked! So, I've been doing it that way, too. I think this dress is pretty much the perfect summertime dress. Don't get me wrong, clearly I will rock gingham in all seasons, but I think it's a "quintessential" summer-y print. I'm definitely bringing this one to Vegas next(!!!) month! Wow, it feels great to say that Vegas is next month!
Dress: Trashy Diva
Cropped Cardi: Gift (Heart of Haute)
Necklace & Brooch: Etsy (Luxulite)
Heels: Modcloth (BAIT Footwear)

Hello there! Bob and I had a nice time in New Hope today. Even though it was 6o degrees, it was windy, so I kept my light jacket on the whole time. We had lunch and drinks at an outside bar/restaurant. They had outdoor heaters too, and one was blowing on our backs, so that helped with the windchill. When we first sat down the bar wasn't crowded, but in a little while it got very crowded. I'm sure it was because it was such a gorgeous day out, and New Hope is a town for walking around in, so people are going to want to take advantage of such a great day to walk around. We went in a few stores, but didn't buy anything. They have a lot of small shops, non-chain stores, like clothing shops, antique shops, a bookstore, etc. I'm a bookworm, but I very rarely buy books. I almost always take them out of the library, or borrow them from someone, or just re-read my own books.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my only Lindy Bop dress. I love the print on it, and even though it has a black background, which I obviously normally don't gravitate towards, there's plenty of colors in the drinks. I love my new Erstwilder cupcake brooch! It's definitetly one of my favorite Erstwilder brooches. I was so happy they finally made a new cupcake brooch.
I had seen the one with the leopard print they came out with awhile ago, but didn't like that one.
The last two pictures were taken today in New Hope. I had curled my hair this morning, but it didn't stay in too well.

Hello there! Last night I met my good friend for a drink, then I came back home and had a couple drinks with Bob. I attempted to start watching the movie "Spotlight", but quickly fell asleep. I'm definitely going to watch it today, as I've been wanting to tsee this for awhile now, and it's finally available "On Demand". "Room" is also available now, and Bob and I will probaly watch that one this weekend, too. I read that book probably over a year ago, and was impressed with it. I'm watching the Oscars on Sunday, too! (Those two movies were nominated for Oscars.) I'm also excited for "The Big Short" and "The Revenant" to become available "On Demand".
Tonight I'm meeting my parents for dinner at Panera. I actually haven't been to Panera in awhile. Tomorrow Bob and I are going to New Hope! It's supposed to be a gorgeous day out. We normally don't go at all in the winter, because you park your car there and then walk around the town. But, it'll be warm enough tomorrow to do it. It's so gorgeous out in that area of PA. There's a river that runs through the town, separating it from New Jersey. You can walk over a bridge there to get to Lambertville, NJ.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Green Kimono Lena dress. I picked this one up from Enz's in NYC last June. The fabric is light and airy, and better suited for late spring-early fall. The strawberry bag I picked up at Trashy Diva in New Orleans in September.

Hello there! The past couple of days have been pretty dreary here. Gray skies, raining off and on, but it's better than snow! And today was 60 degrees. Yesterday it was a lot worse, about 35, so it felt really miserable out. 3.5 weeks until spring, and 1.5 months until Las Vegas! We're getting there...slowly, but surely. Ugh, I can't wait until the weekend is here once again. Bob and I may head to New Hope on Sunday for lunch and a little shopping, as it's supposed to be nice out, and warmish.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my brand new Bernie Dexter dress! It arrived today. She just started making this style shirt dress. I'm a sucker for a shirt dress as it is, but give me an adorable novelty print like this on top of it, and I'm beyond sold! It is such a great representation of a 1950's kitchen! Yet another Bernie in my collection, and the print is near the top of the list as far as my favorite Bernie novelty prints. I went with my usual Bernie size in this dress, and it is hard to zip (it zips in the front) over my chest. I'm glad it does zip though, because I hate having to size up, because then the waist is huge.
Next time I go antiquing in Adamstown with Bob I'm definitely wearing this! I know the antique kitchen dealers will really appreciate it. Last time I went there I wore my Bernie ice cream dress, and I got tons of compliments on it.
I paired one of my new Erstwilder brooches with the dress; my cherry pie one. I figured a pie brooch goes perfectly with a kitchen print! I wore my Modcloth pie dress today, and obviously wore this brooch with it.

Hello there! The weather yesterday was amazing. When Bob and I left around 3:00 to run errands, I didn't even need a coat! I took some outside outfit pictures, sans coat. It actually hit 60 degrees, which definitely gave me spring fever.
We're just staying at home today. I'm going to watch "Black Mass". I can't believe how different, and bad Johnny Depp looks in his role. I'm watching "Downton Abbey" tonight too, just like every week. I can't believe it's the last season! I hate how most of my favorite shows have ended in the past couple of years (like "Breaking Bad" and "Boardwalk Empire"). This season's good, but seems to have had less twists & turns than usual. Maybe they're saving the up for the end! Bob really likes the show, too.
We've been talking about where we're going on vacation this summer. We aren't going to a beach location for a week, like we've been doing almost every summer (Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beac, etc). We are going on a road trip! The only two spots that are a must for me are: Nashville and Charleston. I've never been to either city, and Bob hasn't either. My sister lives in Nashville, so we'll be visiting her there, too. Bob also wants to stay one night on the way out and one night on the way back, at two different cities. So, we may stay in Baltimore, and Richmond, or maybe not; he's going to look into it. I'm really excited to see Nashville and Charleston, though. I've heard such great things about both places.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Oblong Box Shop puffer fish skirt. I'm so excited for them to release their new novelty print skirts! There's one with an orange background that I love (they posted some Instagram pictures of it). It's so hard to find dresses or skirts with much orange in them, and this one has a lot! Right now I just have two skirts from them. I'm also looking forward to seeing their booth at Viva in less than two months! I'm wearing my new rainbow rose hair piece in the pictures below. I really love this one; it's definitely my favorite hair piece I own.

Hello there! I had a bit of a stressful week, so it was very nice to unwind last night at home; I had some drinks and watched "Trumbo" with Bob. I loveeee Bryan Cranston! His acting skills are outstanding. The movie was good; I previously hadn't really known anything about the House Un American Activities Committee and the blacklisting of suspected American Communists. It's pretty crazy what our country has done to different groups of people over the centuries. But, I won't get into that on here! I want to see "Black Mass" this weekend too, so we'll probably watch that one as well (watch it at home on On Demand).
Bob ended up working today, so we won't be going to Adamstown this weekend, unfortnately! I really hope we can go very soon. In two weeks I'm going out to Mifflinburg with my mom for the day. That's where I buy most of my retro looking (they are reproductions) handmade holiday decorations. I'm really looking forward to going back! We go twice a year, in the fall and spring. I just love shopping small. The art produced by "small shops" usually appeals to me a lot more, than the huge companies art does. I also like to support small business!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress I got from Modcloth a year and a half ago. It's from their Bea & Dot line. This dress has gotten a lot of wear. The print and shape of the dress are just perfect. It's a little longer than most dresses I wear, but not too long.

Hello there! I can't wait for this work week to before! I don't have much going on this weekend, yet. Bob and I may go to Adamstown one day this weekend, to go antiquing, but it's not definite. We went there in October, and I'm itching to go back. They are called the anitique capital fo the U.S.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter dress in the High Street print. I love that there's a lot of orange in this print, as dresses with orange in them are hard to find. My mom gave me this dress for Christmas, not last Christmas, but the one before. I had found it on eBay for a good price, and let her know. I had thought about ordering this dress when it was available on the Modcloth site, but ultimately never went for it (this was before I knew anything about Bernie Dexter dresses!). I'm wearing my new Erstwilder milkshake brooch in the pictures below. I now have this brooch in three different colors, ha. It's just so darn cute! Erstwilder just released a new line, and I may have ordered a couple of brooches from it! There's a cupcake one too, and I just couldn't pass that one up. I actually don't own a cupcake brooch, yet.
