Hello there! It's been a crazy hot and humid week, and while today's temperature is in the 80's, it's still very humid, unfortunately. This weekend is supposed to be nice though, and will be perfect when we go to New Hope tomorrow; it's supposed to be sunny and 80, which is going to feel great. We'll be leaving in the morning, and getting back in the early evening.
There's a couple of vintage clothing stores will be hitting while we're there, so fingers crossed I find something! We'll also be eating lunch and having drinks at an outside bar that we haven't tried before, and defnitely getting ice cream. There's also bakery there that looks really good, and I've been in many times, but never actually got anything, ha. So maybe I'll pick something up tomorrow, finally.
We went to Bob's aunt and uncle's house for 4th of July, and had a good time, despite the weather. When we first got there, it was insanely hot and humid, and then after a short time, started to rain, so we went inside for the remainder of the time. The power even went out for a few minutes. Oh, and when they went to start the grill, they saw an animal had chewed through the line! So, someone ran out to replace it.
Tonight we're heading to my parents' house for my mom's birthday. My grandparents and aunt and uncle will also be there.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter bbq dress that I got about three years ago. I'm still crazy about this print! I wore this outfit on 4th of July, so of course I had to also wear my burger earrings. I'm nothing if not thematic!

A Dress Fit For A BBQ
Hello there! Yesterday I was at a bbq all day at Bob's parents' house for his and his brother's birthdays. It was the first bbq this year, and the weather was gorgeous yesterday!! We've had so many cloudy and/or rainy days lately, but yesterday the sun was out, and it was about 80 degrees, and breezy. We got there around 2:00 p.m., and got home at 11:00 p.m. More people showed up there than I thought would, and Bob had a lot of fun. He doesn't get to see his friends too much, so I was happy for him that he got to see a few of them yesterday (some of his extended family came, too).
Today I'm meeting a friend for lunch at Panera (we were supposed to meet Friday night, but we rescheduled for today), working out, going to Home Goods, which I haven't been to in months, and just reading, watching TV at home.
I'm really looking forward to next Saturday, when I'm going to New Hope for the day, with Bob. We haven't been there in quite awhile.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter bbq dress that I've had for two years.
It truly is one of my favorite Bernie prints. I usually wear it from around April - September, so I haven't worn it since last August or September. I was so happy to break it out again!
It's such a fun, retro print that really is perfect for a bbq. I'm also wearing my favorite fruit necklace. I got this about a year and a half ago at an antique mall, although it's not an antique, ha. It was made by a French designer, Marion Godart.
Dress: Enz's (Bernie Dexter)
Necklace: Vendor at an antique mall

Gingham Bernie With A Cherry On Top
Hello there! I'm so glad it's the weekend! I've been waking up an hour earlier for my new job (5:30 as opposed to I was waking up at 6:30 at my last job), and although I've been going to bed an half hour or hour earlier than I was, some days I get pretty tired when I'm driving to work, which is scary, especially because I'm driving on the highway to go to this job. Once I get into work, I usually don't feel tired anymore, but I guess my body is just having a hard time adjusting to this slight change. And I don't like how dark out it is when I'm driving to work, because of setting the clocks ahead an hour last weekend. But, it is nice that it was still a light out last night at 7:30!! I love that. I was at a bar with my friends, and when I left at 7:30 I was happily surprised it was still light out. I had met up with two friends from my last job, and it was nice to catch up with them. I saw them a couple of weeks ago, too. Actually all of my friends are people I've worked with at previous jobs.
Today I'm meeting a friend at Panera for dinner. Other than that, I'm just cleaning, doing laundry, working out, running an errand, and just relaxing; reading/watching TV. My sister is coming home for Easter, she'll be back next Friday. It's crazy Easter is only a week away!! I'll be going to my parents for Easter. And the first day of spring is tomorrow, YAY!!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter gingham dress that I bought at Enz's in NYC almost a year ago. I hadn't seen the dress available online anywhere, and was happy to find it at Enz's in my size. It is very tight in the chest though, and I would've preferred to size up to have more room there, but they didn't have the next size up. I think the cherry pie brooch is the perfect match for it.
Dress: Enz's (Bernie Dexter)
Necklace: Etsy (Luxulite)
Brooch: Erstwilder
Purse: Trashy Diva
Heels: BAIT Footwear

Green Kimono
Hello there! Last night I met my good friend for a drink, then I came back home and had a couple drinks with Bob. I attempted to start watching the movie "Spotlight", but quickly fell asleep. I'm definitely going to watch it today, as I've been wanting to tsee this for awhile now, and it's finally available "On Demand". "Room" is also available now, and Bob and I will probaly watch that one this weekend, too. I read that book probably over a year ago, and was impressed with it. I'm watching the Oscars on Sunday, too! (Those two movies were nominated for Oscars.) I'm also excited for "The Big Short" and "The Revenant" to become available "On Demand".
Tonight I'm meeting my parents for dinner at Panera. I actually haven't been to Panera in awhile. Tomorrow Bob and I are going to New Hope! It's supposed to be a gorgeous day out. We normally don't go at all in the winter, because you park your car there and then walk around the town. But, it'll be warm enough tomorrow to do it. It's so gorgeous out in that area of PA. There's a river that runs through the town, separating it from New Jersey. You can walk over a bridge there to get to Lambertville, NJ.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Green Kimono Lena dress. I picked this one up from Enz's in NYC last June. The fabric is light and airy, and better suited for late spring-early fall. The strawberry bag I picked up at Trashy Diva in New Orleans in September.
Dress & Purse: Trashy Diva
Cardi: Gift (Heart of Haute)
Necklace: Vendor at an antique mall
Brooch: Etsy (Luxulite)

Lena Green Kimono
Hello there! It's a dreary day here, but is going to be 57 degrees. Bob and I are just staying home today. We finished watching "Wentworth" on Netflix last night, and wow, what a great last episode it was! It gave closure to a lot of things, including what we had been waiting so long for, for the governor to finally get caught by law enforcement. The end of the last episode made it seem like there'll be another season, so I looked it up, and happily, there will be, although I could only find that it'll be in 2016, not which month.
I'm *hoping* to book our Vegas trip today, I'm all set to do it, but Bob keeps wanting to wait to do it. I don't want to miss out on the flight times we want though, so I'm hoping he'll let us do it today.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Green Kimono print Lena dress. When this print first came out over a year ago, I liked it, but for some reason I hesitated in buying it. When I was in NYC this past June formy wedding anniversary, I went to Enz's, and bought this dress. I couldn't believe I had hesitated in ordering the print! It's so bright and lovely in person, I even bought this print in a different style TD dress later on! There's so many colors in it, that it gives me so many different optins for shoes and jewelry. The print looks a lot like beach balls.
Dress: Enz's (Trashy Diva)
Sweater: Gift (Heart of Haute)
Necklace: Etsy (Luxulite)
Bracelet: Vendor at an antique mall

Virginia Beach, Part II
Hello there! I'm so glad the weekend is here once again. I don't have much going on this weekend, but that's fine with me, after being on vacation part of the last two weekends (and all of last week). I've been cleaning, doing laundry, and am going to work out. Other than that, it'll be a quiet day/night; just going to relax/read/watch TV/Netflix. My sister and her boyfriend left for California today (for a week). My good friend is in Myrtle Beach now for a week, too.
Next Saturday my husband and I are probably either going to NYC for the day, or to the shore for the day. I'm excited for either one! I do really want to go back to Enz's soon, the shop in Brookyln we went to in June. They carry Bernie Dexter and Trashy Diva (among other great reproduction brands)! I don't of any shops nearer to me that do. I obviously like shopping online, and luckily don't have to make many returns, but it is really nice to be able to try clothing on first.
The below pictures are the rest of the pictures from my Virginia Beach trip with my husband. The bracelet picture is showing a bracelet I bought while on the trip. I really love the paring of bright turquiose & coral in it. It matches both my PUG Harley dresses so well. I didn't buy any other jewelry or any shoes or clothing! I didn't see any shops selling the type of clothing/shoes I am into.
Our trip just flew by, as they always do. I already can't wait to go on our next one, ha! We don't have anything booked yet, unfortunately. But, we may go away for just 4 days in early September. It's not set in stone yet, but hopefully will be soon! If we don't do that, we probably won't be going away again until March-ish, which is a long time to wait. We just love to travel so much. I'm so glad my husband feels the same way I do, ha, or that would've been a big problem! My parents travel a lot, so that's where I got it from. My dad's been to 49 states! He does travel for work a bit though ha, so that's a big part of why he's been to so many. I think I've been to about 32 states so far, and three countries.

Our First Wedding Anniversary
Hello there! Today is my our first wedding anniversary! We got back from NYC around 1:30 today, and we got there around 10:30 a.m. yesterday morning. I had a good time, but unfortunately my husband didn't feel well for the majority of the time. His allergies were bothering him a lot (we think because were on the subway much more than we usually use it in the city, and the dampness from being underground was probably what was bothering his allergies), and then for a time his stomach was bothering him, too. He still doesn't feel 100% now.
But, I got to go to the two stores I really wanted to go to, Enz's & Slapback. I didn't get anything at Slapback, and didn't even see anything to try on. But, I did well at Enz's! I got two dresses and a wristlet/purse. I had been thinking of ordering a dress in the Trashy Diva Green Kimono print since it came out, and just never took the plunge. Once I tried it on at Enz's in the Lena style, I loved it on! The material is so light and comfortable. It also isn't supertight in the chest, so I like that there's breathing room in it! I also got a red and white gingham Bernie Dexter dress. Here I go again, getting another red dress, ha! It was supposed to be sunny out yesterday, and cloudy and rainy today, but it ended up being the reverse! Today is hot, humid, and very sunny. Yesterday there was no sun, and it kept drizzling. So, my hair was a wreck! I had straightened it in the morning, thinking it would be good since it wasn't supposed to rain.
We went to tiki bars. We had never bee to tiki bars before, until we were in Vegas in April for Viva. We went to one tiki bar there, Frankie's Tiki Room, and loved it! So, we really wanted to check them out in NYC. I really enjoyed both of them, but prefered Otto's Shrunken Head, which is in Manhatten. (We spent most of our time in Brooklyn, and that's where out hotel was, as well. Otto's was quirky and fun. We bought two tiki cups to take home. They were only $5 each! My parrot one is pictured below.
