Happy 2016!

Hello there! Ahh, I'm so very glad to be out of work until Monday. I know the long weekend will fly by though, as it always does. I plan on doing a whole lot of relaxing! I met my friend for a drink last night, and tonight I'm going with Bob to a New Year's Eve party at his friend's house about forty minutes away. Unfortunately, none of my friends will be there. I don't really want to go, but my husband doesn't get to see his friends often, so I want him to be able to go and have drinks (I'm driving).
Two dresses I ordered with some of my Christmas money arrived yesterday! I'm wearing one in the pictures below. I adore this Bernie dress! I've had the skirt for a year, but am now selling it on eBay. I much prefer the dress. It took me awhile to finally order the dress, and I'm really happy with my decision. I find it more flattering on me, and I love the fuller skirt.

I also received a Voo Doo Vixen apple, strawberry & floral print shirt dress. I like that print a lot too, but prefer this shape to that one. I'll be keeping it too, though. I also ordered the Bernie New Year's print dress yesterday from Pin Up Girl Clothing (got the last one!), with a coupon, but of course it won't be here in time to wear tonight. Oh well, I figured I can wear it for my birthday, weddings, etc., so I won't just be wearing it on New Year's Eve's.
Happy New Year to all! Hope 2016 is a great one for us all!

High Street

Hello there! I've been having a pretty low key Sunday in, with Bob. I'm reading a book I got for Christmas, and it's really interesting. It's called "Into Thin Air", about a journalist's Mt. Everest climb in 1996 (true story). I don't know how people make the attempts at climbing Everst, they are MUCH braver than I 'll ever be, ha. Tomorrow's back to work for Bob and I, ugh. But, can't wait to get through the 3.5 day work week, and have another 3.5 day long weekend! One good thing is, the phones should be pretty quiet at work this week, as a lot of people have off this week.
In the pictures below I'm wearing the outfit I wore to go to Bethlehem with Bob yesterday. I got the cropped tie sweater and earrings from my mom for Christmas. I really love the earrings; my favorite colors! I had them custom made on Etsy, and then sent my mom the link, ha. I also love the sweater. I can definitely never have enough cropped sweaters, to wear with my dresses and skirts. This is my first time trying a Heart of Haute cropped sweater. I just ordered it in red from Retroglam.com. I already had a white cropped cardigan, but I wear it all the time, and it's not very good quality. It's the same thing with my current red cropped cardis. The blog post title is from the print of the dress I'm wearing, the dress print is called High Street.

Merry, Merry

Hello there! Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Mine was pretty good. I got to see a lot of my family from Wednesday-Friday. I slept over my parent's house Christmas Eve, just like every year. I got a lot of really great gifts; got everything I asked for. I didn't ask for pricey things, just a bunch of lower priced items, like books, jewelry, a pair of shoes, a cropped cardi, etc.
Bob an d I are leaving shortly to head to Bethlehem, which I'm excited about! We always have a good time there. We're going out to dinner & for drinks at Brew Works, and then stopping at a store at the mall on the way back, to look for Christmas ornaments. I've found some really cute ornaments at Boscov's the past couple of years, so that's where we're going to look again. They also should be on sale! I haven't been to a mall in probably over a year.
In the pictures below are a couple pictures of gifts I received for Christmas.  I hope the Dita book, the Micheline Pitt DVD, and Suavecita hair products will really help me with styling my hair! I definitely still need help with that. I've gotten better, but not good enough.
There's also a picture of me holding my seven month old cousin, Teddy, on Christmas Eve. It was the first time I met him. He is such an adorable and good baby! He barely made a sound.

Nesting Dolls

Hello there! I think we're going to have a pretty quiet (that's typical for us) Sunday. Bob's actually still sleeping now, ha. I'm as usual dreading Monday, but, the bright spot is that the next two weeks are 3.5 day work weeks for me! My sister is flying home tomorrow. It's so crazy how fast time goes...she moved out to Nashville four months ago, and it doesn't seem she was gone that long. She has three more semesters of grad school left.
I'm all ready for Christmas now. I bought and wrapped all the presents, and they're under our tree. Wednesday night we're going out to eat with my grandparents, aunt, uncle & cousin, and parents and sister. We go out to eat every December, for my grandparent's anniversary. Christmas Eve I'm still deciding whether to go out to eat with Bob's family, or to go to my aunt & uncle's.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Tatyana nesting dolls print dress. I'm glad that my kelly green BAIT Idas match so well with the dress. This is the only Tatyana brand piece of clothing that I own so far. I thought about ordering it for a long time. I should've gotten a size smaller though. (I ordered my usual size, that I am in most brands.) The lighting was terrible in our kitchen yesterday when we took these outfit pictures. I am definitely taking pictures earlier today, and the sun is really shining, so the should turn out much better!

Harlequin Dream

Hello there! I'm so glad that the weekend is finally here! The end of the year is always hardest/busiest at my job. There's a lot of things that have to get done, and the most important are job proposals. Most job proposals are due the last two weeks of December. Ugh, as if December weren't busy enough! My bosses go on vacation the day after Christmas, and come back January 4th. So, I just need to get through this coming 3.5 day week, and then things should be a lot better. But, this coming week will probably be quite crazy.
Today I'm going to be cleaning, doing laundry, working out, running an errand, finishing wrapping, taking outfit pics, and relaxing with Bob. I'm pretty excited for Christmas, especially now that it's only 6 days away (crazy!)! How did that happen?!
Int he pictures below I'm wearing my Pin Up Girl Clothing harlequin print Jenny dress. I got it for Christmas two years ago, and it was my very first PUG piece. It's still a very special dress to me. The print, the fit, the fullness of the skirt; it's all perfection. I'm so glad I tried out PUG, it opened me to a new world of options that are flattering on me, and also beautiful pieces.

Just Desserts

Hello there! Bob and I had a nice outing to Bethlehem, PA on Sunday. The weather was simply amazing! I left my jacket in the car, and only wore a cropped cardi over my dress. First we went to the Christmas Market, then we went over to Main Street, and went in some stores there, and also went to the few Christmas stands they had set up. I found a few small items: an ornament, a spatula, some dip mix, and a dish towel. The Christmas Market isn't great. It's something to do, but they don't have much either of us are interested in. They actually barely have any Christmas-y items! It's so drastically different from the Christmas Markets in Germany (I've been there once). But, it was still nice to have a little day trip.
Monday night I went to Panera with my good friend. I actually hadn't seen her in three weeks, which is a lot for us. But, she had moved December 1st, to about 45 minutes away from me. She had been living in the same town as me. We had a lot to catch up on.

Tomorrow night Bob and I are meeting my parents are my great uncle's house to have cake for his birthday. I don't really have plans yet for this weekend, but that's fine with me. Next Wednesday-Friday I'll be seeing my family. I'm sleeping over my parent's on Christmas Eve again.
In the first few pictures below I'm wearing a dress my mom made for me a year ago. If you can't see the print too well, it has desserts all over it, pies, cookies, ice cream, etc. It's very appropriate for the season. The pictures below that were taken when Bob and I went to Bethlehem on Sunday. The last picture is of my new B.A.I.T. Footwear shoes that came today. I had been wanting kelly green BAITs foreverrr, and they finally started making them again! I love them, and can't wait to style them. The saddle shoes are my first pair of saddle shoes, and my mom is actually giving them to me for Christmas.

Blue & Orange

Hello there! I'm just getting ready to head out the door to go to Bethlehem, PA with Bob. It's supposed to be 70 degrees there today!! Ah, it just doesn't get better than 7o in December!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Pin Up Girl Clothing Heidi dress. I ordered it from Retro Glam during their Black Friday sale. I had been considering getting this dress for over a year. It was sold out in my size for a long time on the PUG site, and when Black Friday came around, I remembered to check Retro Glam. I got it for a steal: $55, including shipping (from Canada)! I have the PUG Harley dress in this same shade of blue, and I am just in love with this blue. It's so bright and vivid, and pairs so well with pops of bright orange. Since the outfit screams bright, I also paired it with my Betsey Johnson gumball machine purse. I have owned a Heidi once before, but ended up selling it. I think it's safe to say I won't be selling this one!
