Debut Of My Ice Cream Cone Wristlet

Hello there! It's so nice to write this in my apartment, with the sun streaming through the windows. It's going to be in the fifties today! We keep going back and forth, with the cold weather, and warmer weather. But, thank god we still haven't gotten any snow this month!! Makes me very happy. I really hope we have NO more until next winter! (Well, if I had it my way we'd NEVER have any more snow lol.)  It's so warm in my apartment, even though the heat is off, and I have windows open. The birds are chirping, too.
Today Bob and his groomsmen are going to get fitted for tuxedos, and Bob is looking for shoes to rent as well. They're going out to some bars in a nearby town afterwards. I'm sure it'll be packed everywhere, even though they're arriving in the early afternoon. (Because of St. Patrick's day weekend!)
Last night Bob and I went out to a bar. I really stand out when I go to this bar, because it's such a redneck bar, and everyone's wearing faded jeans...flannel shirt...trucker hats, and the like, ha! And then there's me, wearing a dress and heels. But, I don't care! If I didn't dress the way I dress, I wouldn't feel as happy. What I wear makes me feel good, and happy, and I'm not going to change it based on my surroundings. Also, last night I debuted my ice cream Betsey Johnson wristlet! I already got compliments on it. I knew it would be an attention-getter ha. A middle aged guy with a ponytail was talking to me about it. That was interesting! The wristlet really can't hold much at all..but, I will glady deal with that, because it is just the cutest thing!
Below are pictures of my outfit that I wore out last night. I've posted several times on my blog, with pictures of this dress. It's absolutely one of my favourite dresses, and one of my favourite purchases ever! I wasn't sure about it for months, debated ordering it. But, once it arrived, and I put it on, it cast all my doubts completly aside! I had to take a picture with it on, underneath my Keep Calm And Eat Cupcakes poster.

Another Rainbow Dress

Hello there! The more and more things I get done for the wedding, the more close it feels! Bob and I booked our hotel room for the wedding night, last night. The hotel is only about five minutes or so from our apartment actually, ha. But, we figured we didn't want to go back to the apartment, since it's such a special night. Also, we wanted to be able to hang out with some family and friends after the wedding, since it's ending earlyish, at ten p.m. I know my sister and her boyfriend are staying there, but not my other bridesmaids. Some of Bob's friends groomsmen and friends are staying at the hotel too. Bob is picking out his tux this weekend, as well.
Today it got to be 55 degrees! How nice it was. I went outside on my lunch break, and drove over to Home Goods, and read in my car, too. It was so warm that while I was sitting in my car I put the windows down. Tomorrow it's supposed to get up to 55, as well. It's a tease though, since it'll be colder after that.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress my mom made me last summer. I love how bright and cheery it is. And I love how my yellow B.A.I.T. Footwear Iones look with it. I can never have enough rainbow dresses!

Rainbow Girl

Hello there! Not too much going on today. Just going to work out, read, relax...maybe run to a store or too. But, I don't think I need anything, so I may just skip that. Ahh, lovely lazy Sundays. I'm glad the sun is out again! With spring in the air, I am just itching to go on day trips to fun places, and walk around outside. I want to go to New Hope with Bob some time this month. Hopefully he wants to do that.
Last night Bob and I booked the hotel room for his 30th birthday celebration! We are staying at a casino in Pennsylvania for one night. I'm really looking forward to it. At least a couple of his friends will be meeting up with us that night, I'm not sure if any of them are staying over at the hotel though. I'm going to take a half vacation day at work, and Bob will be leaving his work around the same time, too. So, we'll head up there in the early afternoon.
There's an Irish restaurant in the casino that has the BEST grilled cheese ever! I discovered it last time we were there, in November. I can't wait to have it again!
In the below pictures I'm wearing my rainbow striped Emily & Fin dress, purchased from Modcloth. It's my only item of this brand, but they have a lot of cute stuff. I adore this dress, the rainbow stripes are just so completly "me" ! I'm wearing it with my new pink Old Navy cropped cardigan. I love this shade of pink so much! When I ordered it I was a little nervous for how the colour would look in person, since the colour can definitely look quite different from a computer screen. They didn't sell this in the stores, or else I would have gone to an Old Navy to try it on there. Cropped cardigan/boleros are the best, they just go perfectly with my dresses and skirts. I have quite a few of them now.

New Harlequin Jenny Dress

Hello there! Well, the sun is very bright today, and I heard the birds chirping earlier. My friend and I saw a robin yesterday, too! It just feels so much like spring is within our reach! This is probably the longest stretch we've gone without a snow storm, since we started getting them this winter. So, that makes me VERY happy! It also makes my snow-fatigued fiance extremly happy. (He plows snow as a part of his job.)
I'm glad I don't have to go look for a bra today to fit under my wedding dress. I went home last night to try one of my bras on with the dress, and luckily it works with it! I'm going to clean and do laundry today, and I'm meeting up with a friend later. I don't have plans for tonight as of yet.
My new Pin Up Girl Clothing harlequin print Jenny dress arrived yesterday! I had been waiting for it to become available on the website for months. And it finally became available last week! I already had one harlequin Jenny dress from PUG, in a different colour scheme. The pattern is so great, and fits me perfectly.

Can't Get Enough Of Sweet Prints!

Hello there! So glad that there's only two more days in this work week. Bob's at his friend's house tonight. I just worked out, and am going to read and watch TV for the rest of the night. Tomorow we're meeting with my pastor, for I believe the last time, before the wedding rehersal. I just made my appointment for my dress alterations, I'll be going to that April 6th, with my mom.
This Saturday I'm headed to my parent's, to try on my dress again. Hopefully the bra I'm trying it on with will work for it. If not, my mom and I are headed to a specialty store to find a bra that will work with the dress! I hope we don't have to do that though. It doesn't seem like it'd be an enjoyable time! I really don't like people focusing on me/the way I look...and that's surely what would happen there.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a super cute Modcloth dress! I got it in October, and I love it dearly. The print is too darn cute! And of course I had to pair it with my cupcake earrings, and an ice cream brooch. The brand of the dress is Bea & Dot, a Modcloth exclusive brand. I have three pieces of the brand, and I really love all of them! This dress is a little big in the waist, but fits perfectly in the chest. Luckily belts solve everything, and it hides the fact that the waist is big!
These pictures were taken last Sunday, and I was a little cold when we went outside to take them, but it wasn't horrible. I'm excited for the warmer temperatures, starting this Friday. It's going to be in the 40s for a few days!!! That's a heat wave for us NJ people. Only sixteen more days until spring, and I'm getting oh, so eager for it. And only three and a half months until my wedding, geez!

Brady Bunch Houses

Hello there! So, I got my hair done yesterday at a salon around the corner. I got it done as a trial appointment for my wedding! I loved what she did. I had showed her a picture of what I wanted. The front of the hair is very simple/normal looking, but, the back is AMAZING! My mom came to the salon a little later to see it, and she really loved it, and was really impressed with the hair stylist's skills. I'm just glad I got it out of the way, and that the stylist is so good. She'll be the same one doing my hair the day of the wedding.
After I got my hair done, my mom and I stopped over at my grandparent's house. She wanted me to show them my hair. Whenever I go over there I also love visiting with their kitties! They have two gray Maine Coons, and they're sweet girls. (Maine Coons are my favourite cats ever.) I really miss not having a cat live with me.
Bob's parents and brother came over for dinner last night. Bob made quesidillas, and they were SO good! He doesn't make them much, I should remind him to make them more! And tonight he's making us a tomato tart. I'm excited; it's one of my fav dishes that he makes.
At Target yesterday, I found some of the cutest decorations!! I got two of them same exact buckets, one is shown in a picture below. They have sweets all over them- ice cream, cake, cupcakes, they are just so perfect for me/my decorating style. I also picked up a cute little spring basket, also shown in a picture below. I'm going to go back soon, and pick up a rainbow wreath, and maybe some more little decorations. I hardly had any spring/Easter decorations before. I just love that Target usually has cute housewares/decorations for me to pick out! And at reasonable prices.
So many stores have out spring/summer clothes now! That, combined with the fact that it's March now, have me itching for spring so badly! And also for my wedding/honeymoon.
In the pictures below, I'm wearing another one of my house print dresses. The houses remind me so much of "The Brady Bunch" house! The colours in the dress are a little different from my usual palette, but that's a good thing. I don't own much green, although I do have some teal. This dress is the "greenest" article of clothing I have, other than one short sleeve green top.
I'm glad my rainbow leaf necklace and rainbow bracelet pair well with this dress. They are my go to pieces of jewelry, and the more they match with, the better! Also in the pictures, my hair is different. That's because after I took down my hair, (that had been styled in an updo at the salon) it looked like this. I love the way it looks!

Book Worm

Hello there! I'm so very glad that it's March now! Spring is only twenty days away, and I can barlely wait for its arrival. Yesterday I went out for a drink after work with a friend. Then later on I went to a different bar with another friend. I didn't stay out too late, because I wanted to get up early. I want to clean the apartment and do laundry before I go to my hair trial appointment. I think my mom is coming over to the salon too, to check out my hair. I don't have plans yet for doing anything tonight.
We're having Bob's parents and brother over tomorrow in the late afternoon, and Bob's making quesdillas for us. But, that might get cancelled depending on when it starts snowing. Ugh, I can't believe we're getting another storm! It's insanity. I heard if we get eight inches of snow or more for the rest of this winter, that this will be the worst winter of all time. That is not a piece of history that I care to be a part of!
Bob's making a tomato tart tonight, for dinner for us. I'm excited; it's one of my favourite dishes that he makes!! It tastes similar to pizza, and looks similar, too. It's very flavorful. And tomatoes are one of my fav foods! And definitely are my fav fruit/vegetable. Not sure which it actually is! Ha.
Last weekend Bob and I were talking about his upcoming 30th birthday. (April 18th.) I want to do whatever he wants to do for it. And if we had a house, I would invite a bunch of people over for it, but that's not really practical in our apartment, and I told him that. We only have one couch, and four wood chairs. He wants to go to The Sands casino in Pennsylvania, and I'm happy about that. (We went there for our anniversary the last two years.) I just hope at least a couple of his friends will come out. He does a lot for me, and I want his day to be truly great and fun.
I sold two items on eBay recently, and last night the money became available in my Paypal account, which was exciting! I'd never sold anything before, and had thought about listing clothes on eBay for a long time, before I finally did it. I'm so glad I did. I have four more items up for sale, as well. I hope at least a couple of them sell. Gives me more money to go shopping with!
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses. It's Bernie Dexter brand. Bernie Dexter has so many gorgeous dress, with amazing, adorable prints on them. This is my only purchase of the brand so far. The dresses are a little pricey, but it's hard to resist buying more. I love the pairing of this dress with these coral B.A.I.T. Footwear Hansels. One of the colours in the dress is the same exact shade of coral. Coral is such an amazing colour! I need more of it in my wardrobe.
