Hello there! Tonight I'm going to do laundry, watch a Christmas movie I took out of the library, and bake Funfetti cookies. Bob does not like watching Christmas movies, ha. He better get used to it though!
So,
this week Bob and I started thinking about going to New Orleans on our
honeymoon. He's never been, and I only went once, when I was fourteen. I
loved it, even though I didn't get to see a whole lot. We've been looking up prices for roundtrip airfare and hotel, and it's quite reasonable. We've mainly been looking at a particular hotel, which seems to be very close to lots of places. (It's in the French Quarter.) I think we'll be booking the trip within the next couple weeks.
My only real concern is how hot & humid it'll be when we're there. I looked it up online to see the average high temperature for June, and also see what people said about the humidity. The average high is 89, and I read mixed responses about the humidity...but, I think we'll be alright. Obviously there'll be plenty of places we can step inside to cool off. And the hotel has a rooftop pool & bar, which sounds awesome! When I went at the end of July, I remember it was hot, but it wasn't unbearable or anything.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses. This is actually the first dress I ordered from Modcloth. I love pairing it with that super bright rainbow necklace! And yet again, I found an outfit to pair my fruit flats with. Yay!
Dress: Modcloth
Sweater: Kohl's
Belt: J Crew Outlet
Flats: eBay (Urban Outfitters)
Necklace: Dillard's

Hello there! Today we're not doing much, a typical relaxing Sunday for us. I'll be working out, reading, watching TV, and going to a couple nearby stores. We had a really good time last night when my parents came over, and then when our friends came over. Bob won the "Seinfeld" trivia game. He kept get easy questions! I love playing that game, especially when we get to answer questions about clips of "Seinfeld." (The game comes with a DVD that you play at certain times.)
Yesterday my gingerbread house earrings arrived! They are a little smaller than I thought they'd be, but that's okay. They're adorable, and I can't wait to wear them paired with the gingerbread house dress that my mom made. I'm going to be wearing the dress and earrings next Saturday, when Bob and I go to Chriskindlmarkt in Bethlehem.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress I've worn multiple times on my blog before. I love wearing it! It's definitely one of my favourites. I got it two months ago, and have worn it a lot. It was warm enough yesterday that I could wear it outside without a cardigan or jacket! It was so nice to be able to do that, in the middle of November no less! It'll be a little easier to wear this in the winter, than a lot of my other dresses. This one has short sleeves, is longer, and slightly thicker than most of my dresses.
Dress, Heels: Modcloth
Belt: J Crew Outlet
Necklace: Etsy
Bracelet, Earrings: Kohl's- Mudd brand

Hello there! Ahh, so glad that it's Saturday once again. Today will be a busy one for me, busier than the typical Saturday. As usual I'm cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, and working out. But, in the afternoon my good friend is probably coming over for a bit, then my parents are coming over for dinner (Bob's making penne vodka, yum!!), and then after that, Bob's good friend and his girlfriend are coming over, and we're having drinks and playing a "Seinfeld" trivia game. Can't wait for that! I've played it before, but, I reallyyyy love "Seinfeld"! It's okay that I'll be quite busy today, because tomorrow we don't have plans, other than that I'm going to work out.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a new sweater. I got it from Express last weekend. I had seen it the weekend before, but didn't want to spend the money at the time. I got a great deal on it last weekend though, because I had a 30% off coupon, plus I had $12 left on a gift card!
It's bad, lately I've been looking at eBay and Etsy a lot. There's just sooo many items to search for! I ordered a couple of cheap items this week. I'm probably ordering another pair of earrings on Sunday from Etsy, they're only $6.25 though. I keep looking at polymer clay jewelry on Etsy, in food form, i.e. donut, cupcake, cake earrings.
I also just found a dress that I LOVE on pinupgirlclothing.com. I hadn't looked on that website in quite awhile, because I was finding plenty of stuff I liked on other websites, especially Modcloth. But, I happened to just look on there now.
I can't have too many bright red sweaters. I just love wearing red, and especially love pairing it with orange and/or pink. I think red looks best on me out of all the colours.
I'm so excited to have a four day weekend for Thanksgiving!! I'm glad it's coming up quickly. And of course, I can't wait to eat all the fabulous food.
Sweater, Tank: Express
Necklace: Modcloth
Bracelet, Jeans: Target
Flats: eBay (Urban Outffiters brand)

Hello there! It's so nice that the weekend will be here after one more day of work. For me Fridays are much easier to get through. As anxious as I am to get out of work and start the weekend already, knowing that I will soon have two full days off just puts my mind at ease, and makes work easier to bear. What also helps is that I get pizza for lunch on Fridays with a couple of my friends. I very much look forward to that.
I'm not really doing anything tonight, just going read, and relax with Bob. I'll be baking a pie either tomorrow night or Saturday, a pumpkin one for when my parents come over Saturday night. I've never made a pie before! This one should be nice and easy though, since I'm following the recipe on the pumpkin pie can, and bought a crust at the store. I LOVE pumpkin pie!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress that my mom made me. I've worn it at least a couple times on my blog before. It's definitely one of my favourite dresses! I of course love that it has so many colours in it. And it looks great paired with a cardigan, because the skirt doesn't flare out. With the dresses that I have that flare out, adding a cardigan to it just makes me look wide. I like pairing it with the yellow cardigan best. This is my favourite cardigan, I love what a vivid yellow colour it is. I looked all over for a yellow cardigan for months, before snatching up this one at Old Navy.
Dress: Made by my mom!
Cardigan: Old Navy
Belt: J Crew Outlet
Necklace: Etsy
Bracelet: Francesca's Collections
Flats: eBay- Urban Outfitters brand

Hello there! Ahh, the two worst days of the week are over with, so I'm happy about that! It flurried a little bit early this morning, but luckily nothing stuck on the roads. I'm not doing much tonight; I ran to Target after work, going to read more of "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" and watch "The Biggest Loser." Target has all their Christmas stuff out now. I love looking at all of it!
I'm looking forward to Saturday night! My parents are coming over for dinner, and Bob's cooking us all dinner. He's making penne Vodka! That's one of my favourite meals that he cooks. My mom said she's never had it before. That's pretty hard to believe.
Next weekend Bob and I are going to the famous Christmas market in Bethlehem, PA. I can't wait! We went together last year, too. And I'm sure my mom took me when I was little. Bethlehem is such a nice town, with a lot of stuff to do there and in that area.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress that my mom is giving me for Christmas! I was just trying on the dress to make sure it fit me, and luckily it fit great! I was worried that the buttons on the chest would gape, but they are fine. She ordered it from Amazon, and the brand is Hell Bunny. I've never had any clothing of that brand before. They make such cute, retro style dresses!
Dress: Amazon- Hell Bunny brand
Belt: Kohl's
Necklace: Modcloth
Bracelet: Target
Heels: Zappos- Nine West

Hello there! I'm not going to be doing much today. I didn't end up running to the mall yesterday, and I'm still thinking about doing it today. I am going to work out, but that's about all the plans I have. That, and lots of relaxing with Bob!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Bernie Dexter dress! I've been looking online at this brand for awhile now. There's a lot of Bernie Dexter dresses that I love. This one is definitely my favorite though! The print on it is of books. I'm an avid reader with an English degree, so I think this is pretty perfect for me! There's also a lot of colours on the dress, and I noticed a little bit after I was wearing it that every book title on the dress has a colour in the title! That's pretty neat.
I wasn't sure what size to order, because trying to get tops and dresses fit my chest can be hard. So, I ordered a bigger size than I normally would buy. It is a little big in the waist/hips, but fits my chest. I'm glad, because I was worried it would still be too tight in my chest. When I wear the belt with the dress you can't tell that it's too big in areas. I also might have my mom take it in.
I love the retro style of the dress, and I can't wait to wear it out!

Hello there! So glad that the weekend has arrived! Last night I didn't do much. I went to Hallmark, Target, and Kohl's. I bought some Christmas presents, which makes me happy. I'm done shopping for my mom and grandmothers, and I bought some of Bob's presents, and am mostly done with my sister. I was glad that Target has alot of Christmas stuff out now! Last time I went they just had a tiny bit. I love their Christmas section! I just love Target in general, ha. It's one of my favourite stores, and it always has been.
Today I'm doing the normal Saturday tasks of cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, and working out. I'm also going to make chocolate oatmeal cookies! They are one of my all time favourite cookies. I might run to the mall later on, too. There's a sweater at Express that I really like it when I tried it on last weekend, and I didn't want to spend the money at the time.
I don't have plans for tonight. Bob's going to a bar with some friends, it's about forty-five minutes away. I don't feel like going, and plus none of my friends will be there.
In the pictures below I'm wearing another dress that my mom just finished maing for me! In my last post, which was on Thursday I was also wearing a dress my mom made me. This is the perfect dress for Christmastime! The print is just adorable. I really love gingerbread houses, so this material was meant for me.
I really hate winter weather, but I love Christmas. So, I am looking forward to Christmas getting closer, but definitely not to the weather getting even colder! I'm going to start wearing this dress right after Thanksgiving. I'm also going to decorate our apartment on Black Friday! Can't wait for that.
And I can't wait to make lots of Christmas cookies! My mom is the absolute QUEEN of baking Christmas cookies. I can't even come close to that, ha. She started making dough for them last night. She loves to give them away to family and friends, and everyone always raves about them. I brought some into work once and got a lot of compliments for my mom, which didn't surprise me!
Dress: Handmade by my mom!
