Birds & Flowers

Hello there! Well, Bob and I were supposed to got New Hope, PA today, but it's supposed to rain all day and night. (And tomorrow.) I keep checking the hourly forecast, but unfortunatly it seems we won't be able to go. I'm disappointed. We haven't been there since July. Now that it's spring we can start going on little day trips around the area, and get to do things that would have been too cold to do in the winter. But, now there's always a chance it could rain and ruin the plans.
If we don't get to go today, I'm not sure what we'll do instead. I'm going to clean the apartment, do laundry, read, and probably run to Target. Maybe we'll go out to dinner around here. "Wolf of Wall Street" is availabe On Demand now, so I think Bob and I will watch it sometime this weekend. We both have been wanting to see it, but Bob even more so. Bob's really into the stock market.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Modcloth dress. I got this one back in September, and I love it so much. The brand is Retrolicious. I think the print is so pretty. I have a few Folter and Retrolicious brand items I got from Modcloth. (They are made by the same company.) They use such unique, fun fabrics for their dresses and skirts! This dress is a little thicker than most of my dresses, so I wear it sometimes in the winter, too.

When The Obsession Started

Hello there! I'm so excited that this is a three day weekend, and I have off tomorrow as well! Bob doesn't have off tomorrow. The next time we get off of work is for Memorial Day, over three months away! That's the longest gap between work holidays, for the whole year. (Trust me, I've analyzed this, ha.)
Well, today it's NOT supposed to snow, so that is a much needed reprieve! But, it it supposed to snow/rain Tuesday. By Friday though, it's supposed to be 50 degrees! I am soooo looking forward to that!
Today Bob and I are mostly just hanging out here. I'm going to work out and read, and maybe go to Panera later on. We're going to watch "Dallas Buyer's Club." I really wanted to see it when it was in theaters, but we didn't end up going. It just became availabe On Demand, so I'm happy about that! Also my mom is stopping by later. I believe she's bringing my veil, she just finished making it yesterday. But, she did she thinks the colour may be wrong...so, *fingers crossed* that the colour will be okay!! If it's not an exact match, I'm okay with that.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my very first Modcloth dress. I got it a year ago, back when the obsession with Modcloth dresses was just a little seed....now it's grown into a tree! Ha. I still love it so. Love the rainbow colours, the quirky print, and of course the fit & flare shape of it. Perfection. So many accessories, cropped cardigans/shrugs, and shoes match with it, which is also a bonus!

I Love Coral!

Hello there! Tonight I'm not going to be doing much, just reading and watching "The Office" with Bob. (We're going through all the seasons again, well all the seasons with Steve Carell!)
I did finish my Christmas shopping after work, as well as purchased my dad's birthday presents! (His birthay is on the 12th, and we are celebrating it this Sunday.) It feels good to be done. This year I actually bought all the presents in stores, and none online. I wanted to finish shopping on a week day night, since from here until Christmas I'm sure it'll be crazy busy on the weekends! And I really don't like dealing with crowds/long lines.
Friday Bob and I are going out to eat at Friendly's with his family, for his mom's birthday. I love Friendly's! There's one that's about a half mile away, but we almost never go. We just don't eat out much.
When I was at Kohl's tonight buying my dad's birthday presents, I snagged two cropped cardigans for myself! I'm glad I found them, since it's been hard for me to find cropped cardigans/boleros/shrugs. I still need an orange one! I bought a coral and royal blue one tonight. In the pictures below I'm wearing the coral one. I just love the colour coral!
I keep wanting to wear this Bernie Dexter book dress! The pattern is just perfect, especially for me since I'm such a bookworm, and love lots of colour! Since there's so many colours in
the dress, it makes it easy to match sweaters/belts/jewelry/shoes with it.
Unfortunatly the lighting in these pictures is very bad. We tried it a few different ways, but just couldn't get any decent lighting. I hate that the sun sets so early now! I'll have to try and take more pictures on the weekend, when the sun is out. And before it gets super freezing!

Admit One To My Rainbow Show!

Hello there! Tonight I'm going to do laundry, watch a Christmas movie I took out of the library, and bake Funfetti cookies. Bob does not like watching Christmas movies, ha. He better get used to it though!
So, this week Bob and I started thinking about going to New Orleans on our honeymoon. He's never been, and I only went once, when I was fourteen. I loved it, even though I didn't get to see a whole lot. We've been looking up prices for roundtrip airfare and hotel, and it's quite reasonable. We've mainly been looking at a particular hotel, which seems to be very close to lots of places. (It's in the French Quarter.) I think we'll be booking the trip within the next couple weeks.
My only real concern is how hot & humid it'll be when we're there. I looked it up online to see the average high temperature for June, and also see what people said about the humidity. The average high is 89, and I read mixed responses about the humidity...but, I think we'll be alright. Obviously there'll be plenty of places we can step inside to cool off. And the hotel has a rooftop pool & bar, which sounds awesome! When I went at the end of July, I remember it was hot, but it wasn't unbearable or anything.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses. This is actually the first dress I ordered from Modcloth. I love pairing it with that super bright rainbow necklace! And yet again, I found an outfit to pair my fruit flats with. Yay!

New Holiday Earrings

Hello there! Today we're not doing much, a typical relaxing Sunday for us. I'll be working out, reading, watching TV, and going to a couple nearby stores. We had a really good time last night when my parents came over, and then when our friends came over. Bob won the "Seinfeld" trivia game. He kept get easy questions! I love playing that game, especially when we get to answer questions about clips of "Seinfeld." (The game comes with a DVD that you play at certain times.)
Yesterday my gingerbread house earrings arrived! They are a little smaller than I thought they'd be, but that's okay. They're adorable, and I can't wait to wear them paired with the gingerbread house dress that my mom made. I'm going to be wearing the dress and earrings next Saturday, when Bob and I go to Chriskindlmarkt in Bethlehem.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress I've worn multiple times on my blog before. I love wearing it! It's definitely one of my favourites. I got it two months ago, and have worn it a lot. It was warm enough yesterday that I could wear it outside without a cardigan or jacket! It was so nice to be able to do that, in the middle of November no less! It'll be a little easier to wear this in the winter, than a lot of my other dresses. This one has short sleeves, is longer, and slightly thicker than most of my dresses.

I Love Yellow!

Hello there! It's so nice that the weekend will be here after one more day of work. For me Fridays are much easier to get through. As anxious as I am to get out of work and start the weekend already, knowing that I will soon have two full days off just puts my mind at ease, and makes work easier to bear. What also helps is that I get pizza for lunch on Fridays with a couple of my friends. I very much look forward to that.
I'm not really doing anything tonight, just going read, and relax with Bob. I'll be baking a pie either tomorrow night or Saturday, a pumpkin one for when my parents come over Saturday night. I've never made a pie before! This one should be nice and easy though, since I'm following the recipe on the pumpkin pie can, and bought a crust at the store. I LOVE pumpkin pie!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress that my mom made me. I've worn it at least a couple times on my blog before. It's definitely one of my favourite dresses! I of course love that it has so many colours in it. And it looks great paired with a cardigan, because the skirt doesn't flare out. With the dresses that I have that flare out, adding a cardigan to it just makes me look wide. I like pairing it with the yellow cardigan best. This is my favourite cardigan, I love what a vivid yellow colour it is. I looked all over for a yellow cardigan for months, before snatching up this one at Old Navy.

Keep Calm And Eat Cupcakes!

Hello there! Sooo happy the weekend is here! After work yesterday I ran to a couple of stores. I returned a shirt, and needed to buy thread, a zipper, and bias tape for the gingerbread house dress my mom is working on for me! Bob and I stayed in last night, watched some TV and had a few drinks.
Today my only plans are cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, working out, making Funfetti cookies, and running to Target. I don't have any plans tonight yet. Bob is going to his parent's house around 7, and brewing a beer with his brother and maybe a friend.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Modcloth dress! It arrived yesterday. The print is SO adorable! I have such a sweet tooth, and I also love wearing sweets as well, in my clothing and jewelry! I got the dress with money I got for my birthday, so that was nice. It was really perfect timing that I received the cupcake ring this week!
I love pairing this new dress with my bright yellow cardigan, and my new yellow belt. I really love the colour yellow, and usually can't find too many yellow items of clothing/accessories/shoes.
I also really love the heels I'm wearing in these pictures, they're my favourite heels. I love that the heel part and the platform part are diferent colours from the actual shoe. I think these pair great with the dress.
I recently returned a dress to Modcloth that I had gotten with a gift card. Once they return it and give me the store credit for it, I have another dress in mind that I'll order! I've been wanting it for months. It's so nice to get Modcloth gift cards and money to spend there for my birthday.
I thought it would be perfect to take pictures under the cupcake poster in my kitchen! And also it was too dark to take pictures outside by the time I got home, ha.
