Hello there! Well, in spite of how gloomy out it was yesterday, we decided to change it and go to New Hope. It ended up drizzling towards the end of our trip, but we only had to walk in it for a little bit. It was a little cool out too, but I resisted putting on my light jacket; didn't want to hide my fabulous outfit, ha! We had a good time, as we always do there. It's a really beautiful, artsy, funky, small business oriented town. The drive in is really scenic too, there are a few towns on the way over that are similar to New Hope (but don't have as much to do there). We go there about four times a year.
This time I actually bought clothing, which I've never done there before. There's a store called Thirteen Vintage on the main street. Last time I went in there, one of the shop owners recognized me from Instagram, and that was the first time that had ever happened to me in this area. The owners are super nice, and I got to talk to them for quite awhile about vintage repoduction. They give me a discount too, which is so sweet! I bought a L indy Bop dress and Sourpuss cropped cardi. It's so great to be able to try on these brands in person, instead of just ordering online. I'll get to do that again (at Enz's) in early June, when Bob and I go to NYC for the day. Enz's carries brands like Bernie Dexter, Trashy Diva and Retrospec'd, so I'm very excited to go again!
I wore my new to me Trashy Diva red waterlilies day dress, that I posted a blog about on Friday. I tried to style my hair "40's", since the dress is definitely 40's inspired. My hair didn't turn out exactly right, but that's okay.

Hello there! Today was very warm and sunny, it really felt like a summer day. Tomorrow Bob and I had been planning to go to New Hope for the day, and I was excited about it, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen now, because it's supposed to rain, grr. If we can't go tomorrow, we'll definitely be going next Saturday, as long as it doesn't rain that day, either!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new to me Trashy Diva red waterlilies day dress. I have another dress in this TD print, but I love the print so much, that I had been searching for another dress in this print, but with sleeves (the one I already had is sleeveless). This print is so vibrant and gorgeous. This skirt isn't as full as most of my dresses and skirts, but I don't mind that sometimes. I posted in the TD Facebook group I'm in that I was looking for this style or the 1940's style, and right after that, someone let me know that they had this one, and would sell it to me! I couldn't believe how fast it happened, I was very lucky!
I also was able to snap up another rare TD dress this week, so I have all the TD unicorns I've been searching for, except for one! The ultra rare liquor labels print is the last one left for me. Maybe someday!

Hello there! I don't have much going on today, a typical Sunday for my husband and me. He'll be doing some cooking and baking, and I'll be working out, reading, getting outfit pitures, and doing a whole lot of relaxing, ha. The season final of "The Family" is on tonight, and I'm excited to finally find out how it all comes together! It better not end on a cliffhanger, ughhh.
I received the lovely dress I'm wearing in the pictures below as a gift from Love ur Look (http://www.loveurlook.co.uk/). I had never gotten anything from this shop before.
The print on the dress is totally adorable, it has ice cream, soda, drive-in signs, donuts, etc. on it. As I've said many times before, I'm a sucker for shirt dresses, so that is another reason I love this dress. I also love the pink background color. Believe it or not, I have barely any dresses with a pink background color, and pink is one of my very favorite colors! I also like the yellow piping on the bottom of the dress, it's a cute touch.
As far as sizing goes, definitely check out the size chart, and make sure the size you order will fit your bust. I had been thinking of getting a size smaller, but Ronke (the very sweet owner) sent me a size up, according to my measurements, to make sure the bust would fit me. The waist is quite big on me, but the bust just fits. Wearing a belt hides the fact that the waist is big on me. This dress comes with its own cute matching fabric belt, but I wanted to style it with this white belt. Especially when there's a buttons over the bust, you want to make sure you get the right size for your bust!
Besides the fact that Love ur Look makes adorable, fun, retro-style dresses, I also love that they are an ethical company. You can check out information about this on their website, under the "about love ur look" section. They create their clothing in India and the UK, and with working standards such as no discrimination, and humane working hours. Love ur Look also donates profits to an animal hospital in India, which makes me happy to hear, as I LOVE animals! The brand is based in the UK, but ships internationally.
I suggest you check out this company, if you haven't yet. Here's a link to the dress I'm wearing below: http://www.loveurlook.co.uk/pink-candy-print-dress/, and this print also comes in another dress stye: http://www.loveurlook.co.uk/pink-candy-collar-dress/. There's plenty of cute style to choose from!

Hello there! Today is so nice out, it's in the low 70's. I'm not doing too much; just been cleaning, did laundry, ran an errand, and worked out. I'll be going to Target later, too. Thursday night I met a couple friends at a restaurant/bar, and we sat outside for the first time there, which was really nice. It was really warm out and sunny that day, and the outside seating area was quite big. They had sand outside, leading up to a deck that has a boat on it, and bartenders work inside the boat, and serve you from there. There wasn't an outside bartender when we were there, so we got drinks inside, and brought them outside to a table. Bob and I are going to go back on a weekend night and check it out, I'm sure there will be outside bartenders then.
Last night Bob and I went to Bethlehem, PA. We went out to eat at Brew Works, my favorite restaurant. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded, and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food to come out. It can get very crowded there Friday nights and Saturdays. After we left there, we headed to the casino. We weren't there long at all, and I didn't do any gambling, but Bob did a little. I just love going out to places on the weekends when it's nice out, and taking advantage of the beautiful weather.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Bernie Dexter mascara print Kelly dress. I loveee the neon-ish color scheme of the dress. I love the Kelly style dress more than any other Bernie dresses. You just can't beat a good shirt dress, in my opinion! I also love the adorable mascara print, and I do love mascara. I can't leave home without it on. I won't leave home without wearing at least blush and mascara; those are my two absolute essentials!

Hello there! Oy my gosh, the weather today was pure perfection! It was 75 and so sunny, and that to me, is my absolute favorite weather. After having so much gloomy weather lately, this was a nice relief. It's supposed to be the same tomorrow, and I'm meeting my friends after work at a restaurant/bar, and hopefully the outdoor bar is open, so we can check it out! When it's nice out like this, I take advantage of eating/drinking outside as much as possible. Have to take advantage of it while it's here! When I left work today, my steering wheel was actually hot to the touch, which hasn't happened since probably the beginning of September. Bring on summer!
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my new Pin Up Girl Clothing peasant tops. I received two today, this one and a yellow one. I now own six. They are a great, flattering top. I love the fit of them. They zip in the back, so it creates a more form fitting shape. This is my absolute favorite shade of blue, and when PUG first showed a preview of it, I was thinking it would probably pair perfectly with my Oblong Box Shop furniture skirt, and luckily it really does!

Hello there! Today I'm going to my parent's house to celebrate Mother's Day, and my grandparents will be there, too. The weather's been so dreary here for the past week or so, and today it's quite cloudy as well. I just can't until we regularly start having sunny days in the 70's!
This Thursday I'll be meeting a couple of friends at a bar/restaurant after work. Hopefully, it's nice enough out that we can sit at the new outside bar, which we haven't been able to sit at yet, because it wasn't warm enough previously. Friday Bob and I are going to Brew Works for dinner, so I'm excited for that, too. It's just so much more pleasant and fun to go to places in the late spring/summer/early fall, when it's not freezing out!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my fruit print Retrospec'd dress that I got at Viva Las Vegas. I've worn it a few times since I bought it. It's definitely one of my very favorite prints in my whole wardrobe. It looks just like 1950's fruit tablecloth. I love the print so much, that I bought it another Retrospec'd dress with the same print (just in a different style)! I've only done that once before, with a Trashy Diva print. This dres is perfect to wear to work too, bcause of the high neck; I don't even have to wear a bandeau, which is great.

~Bye bye for now!
Hello there! This is my final post about our recent trip to Vegas. In my previous two posts, I covered Wednesday night - Saturday night, and all of the time we spent at Viva. Viva was also going on on Sunday, but we didn't go to it that day. I had done everything I wanted to do there, and plus, I didn't want to make my husband go back again, ha. He had already been so patient, doing everything I wanted to do, and hanging out with my friends. So, on Sunday we took it a lot slower. We walked down the strip a bit, farther then we had gone on previous days that trip. We went in the Bellagio to see the gorgeous flower/seasonal artistic display. They have the most amazing displays! I make sure to check it out on every Vegas trip; it's a must see! We went to the Flamingo and checked out the flamingos, fish and other birds there, in the back. It's really pretty out in the back where the animals are. At night we met up one final time with my friend Lisa and her friend Hannah. We met at Golden Tiki. Bob and I prefer Frankie's and had wanted to go back there, but Lisa really wantd to go to Golden Tiki, so we went there instead. One perk at Golden Tiki is they have a huge shell you can pictures in, which we of course took advantage of (see below)! If it's kitsch, count me in.
It was Bob's birthday on Monday, and our last full day in Vegas (we left Tuesday morning). We walked around the strip during the day, and I popped in a couple of stores. For dinner we went to Peppermill, a funky diner that's been around about sixty years. We had never been there before. It's neat looking inside, with flamingo stained glass lamps, and a shaker of rainbow sprinkles on every table. I got pancakes, which I hadn't had in a longgg time. They were HUGE, and very good. I had been excited to check out their firepit lounge, and have drinks there, but unfortunately the lounge was closed for a private party. Bob and I were disappointed. He had also wanted to go the Riveria casino next door to Peppermill, to do some gambling, but we found out that night that it's permanently shut down! So, the night ended up being a let down, especially for Bob. I felt bad, since it was his birthday and all. Also, I had a cold, and wasn't feeling well, so I wasn't in the best of moods anyway.
We ended up taking an Uber to the Flamingo, and got out there, and walked back up the strip to our hotel. He did some gambling here and there. Since I wasn't feeling well, I just wanted to go back to the room, and take it easy, before waking up early for out flight the next morning.
We had a great time at Viva, and it's always hard to go back to "reality". The way I feel when I'm at Viva is hard to articulate. It's just wonderful to see so many gorgeous people with like minded interests as me, particularly fashion interests, ha. It truly must be seen to be believed.
