A Dress & Keds

Hello there! Well, today we got our first significant snowfall since last February. So, it begins again. It's snowed about three or four inches so far. Andddd I hate snow. With a passion. As soon as the last snowfall comes from the end of the previous winter, I dread so much when it will start again. I'm having a very hard time trying to convince Bob to move to the south. Even though he's not a fan of snow/winter either.
I left work a little early today; they closed at 3. Bob was going to pick me up (he plows), but he called and said the roads on my way home were fine, so I drove. I was nervous in the beginning, but luckily they were all fine.
But, I am SO glad my four day weekend has begun! It's finally arrived. Tomorrow I'm heading to my grandparents for Thanksgiving dinner, at 1:30. I'm so excited to decorate the apartment, too. I'll be doing that on Friday. I already decorated a little bit. But, it'll feel complete once the tree is up and decorated!
My mom and sister leave for Germany and Austraia tomorrow afternoon. I'm so excited to see what they bring back for me! I know I'll at least be getting some painted egg tree ornaments. I already have a few. I got some when I was in Austria, and some of them my mom brought back for me a couple years ago.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Hell Bunny dress. I love the shade of blue in the dress; I don't have many clothes that are that shade/have that shade of blue in them. I don't normally wear sneakers with dresses or skirts, but I just love my Keds rainbow sprinkles sneakers so much! And since I barely ever wear pants, I really don't get to wear these sneakers much. The blue laces almost exactly match the blue of the dress.

Blue & Lime

Hello there! Ahh the lovely weekend has come back around again, this time it's a three day one, which makes me VERYYY happy! Last night I had some drinks at the apartment, and watched "The Office" with Bob. His friend came over for for awhile, and he worked on our computer. It's been running slowly for a long time, and his friend is really good with fixing computers. I can see a difference today. That was really nice of him to do that for us.
Yesterday my veil pattern came in! My mom's going to make my veil next month. I'm so lucky that she's very helpful, and a talented seamstress! Also a pair of heels came in yesterday. I ordered them as my possible wedding shoes...and, I LOVE them! They seem like they'll be comfortable, which is very important. They got a lot of good reviews online: a lot of people said they were comfortable. I think they're really cute too. I sent pictures of them to my bridesmaids, and they all liked them. So, I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping them! I might look at heels a little bit tomorrow at the mall, in the off chance I see anything I really love, but I doubt I'll find better ones, and at a good price.
I hope we find our wedding rings tomorrow, as well as a bra for my wedding dress. I want to get those two things out of the way. I want to get as many items out of the way now as I possibly can. I don't want to be stressing at the last minute! I know the time is going to go really fast, the closer we get. It even sounds pretty close now, to say it's five months away.
Today I don't have many plans. Bob is going to his parents later on, to work on brewing beer with his brother. I'm going to clean the aparment, do laundry, work out, and call my grandmother. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, to go to the mall and movies with Bob. We're seeing "Nebraska."
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my favourite casual outfits. I love the pairing of this shade of bright blue with lime green. And I adore this necklace! I wish I had more to wear it with. The colours are so exceptional in it, so nice and bright.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello there! Happy Thanksgiving! I'm going to my grandparent's house around 2 today. Bob's going to his aunt and uncle's around the same time. My sister will be there, (she lives in Connecticut) as well as my aunt, uncle, and cousin who live in Texas. My Texas cousin, Frannie is going to be my flower girl!
Tomorrow Bob has to work. I hate how he doen't get off all the holidays that I do. (He works for his dad, who is self-employed.) Tomorrow I'm going to just be hanging out at the apartment until we go over my parents for dinner. I'm going to make cookie dough for Christmas cookies. I'm going to freeze some, and bake some of it. I'm going to finish decorating for Christmas, too. Our tree is in Bob's parent's attic right now. He forgot to bring it over here earlier this week. We were planning on decorating it tonight, so hopefully he'll stop at his parents tonight and get it.
My new green cropped cardigan matches perfectly with this house print dress. I don't have much green in my wardrobe. I've been wearing my new cropped cardigans a lot. They match with so many of my dresses.

Hello, Weekend!

Hello there! Today I'm doing my normal Saturday tasks of cleaning the apartment, laundry, and working out. Hopefully we'll look more into our honeymoon trip, and possibly book it this weekend. I already got the time off approved from work. I'll be out of work for two and a half weeks. I took a personal day the day before the wedding, then requested off the following Monday-Friday, plus the next Monday-Thursday. Then we have off that Friday for the forth of July! So, it worked out perfectly, to get another day off. I think we're going to leave for our honeymoon on Monday and come back on Wednesday the next week.
I'm also going to put out a few Christmas decorations today! I can't wait any longer. Bob and I are putting the tree up on Thursday night! I'm so excited. My apartment is going to turn into a Christmas Candyland. Ha!
At least it'll be easier to go back to work on Monday, knowing that it's only a three day work week. Thursday I'm going to my grandparents for Thanksgiving. They live about five minute or so from me. Bob will be going to his aunt and uncle's house. Friday night we'll be going over my parent's house for dinner. My sister, grandparents, and family from Texas will also be there. And Saturday morning I'm going to a couple of gift stores with my mom and probably my sister.
In the pictures below I'm wearing an Express sweater I've had for three years or so. I also have it in a bright coralish shade. I really like cowl neck, side ruched sweaters like these. They tend to be flattering. I'm also wearing my new gingerbread house earrings!! I couldn't help it from wearing them already, ha. I mean Christmas is only a month and two days away! (Which is pretty crazy it's so soon, huh?!)

TGIF!

Hello there! Well, it's so lovely that the weekend has come around again. Bob is over his parent's house now, working on brewing a beer with his brother. I'm just staying in tonight. Bob and I are both getting up early tomorrow. He's working, and I'm going to Pennsylvania with my mom to go to some Christmas shops! My mom is VERY into Christmas. More so than anyone I've ever known, ha. I'm also quite into Christmas, and love decorating my apartment for it! But, my mom definitely takes the cake when it comes to decorating for it. In the pictures below I'm wearing a shirt I have in three colours. I love the rouching of it, I think it's flattering, and makes the shirt more interesting, than just a solid colour, plain top. I love wearing my printed dresses, but, it's also nice to sometimes wear outfits like this, and let my bright shoes and accessories really shine.

Bright Blue/Lime

Hello there! In the pictures below I'm wearing a colour combo that I really love- bright blue and lime green. I don't wear this combo too often, because most of my wardrobe is pink/orange/red/yellow. I picked up this great lime tank top, as well as a bright orange tank top at Kohl's on Sunday. I don't usually see anything I like at Kohl's, but I was happy to score these two cheap tank tops, as well as two great cropped sweaters! I got one in red and one in black. I'm going to wear them all the time with my dresses.
I really like this bright blue shirt, I love the draping of it. I think that makes it so flattering. I'm always looking for clothes to flatter me, since I'm larger on top than I am on bottom.
I really LOVE the necklace I'm wearing in the below pictures. It's definitely one of my fav accessories. It was such a great find! I got it at Dillard's in Virginia Beach. It was on sale for $21. I've never seen that necklace anywhere else, and I was surprised Dillard's had it. It doesn't seem like the type of style they would normally sell. We don't have any Dillard's up near where I live. I remember first hearing about it because my aunt in Texas loves that store.
I found a Halloween Hello Kitty beanie baby at Walgreens on Sunday! (Pictured below.) I was glad to finally find one; I didn't have any Halloween Hello Kitties before.
My Halloween costume came yesterday! I hadn't bought a costume in about five years. I'm not even sure where the one I was wearing the last few years went. But, I like my new costume much more anyway! It's so colorful and adorable. It's a Candyland dress. I can't wait to wear it and pair it with so many bright accessories.  :) It feels very "me."

Bridesmaid's Dress Shopping/Engagement Party

Hello there! Yesterday we found the bridesmaid's dresses! We all really loved them. The colour was perfect (they're pink, close to a coral colour), and the style was flattering and so pretty. They looked gorgeous! I was so happy that that dress worked out, and it was a great price. It was about half the price of the other dress we were deciding between.
I also tried on my wedding dress again, at my sister's request. I still love it! So, that's a relief ha. And all the bridesmaid's did, as well.
I'm so relieved to have all the major decisions done and over with. Next step is calling a hotel to book a block of rooms, and then order the invitations.
Our engagement party was at my parent's house last night. It went well. My mom is such a great cook and baker! The last few pictures on this post are from the party. My aunt who lives in Texas surprised me by ordering that GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers!
In the first few pictures below I'm wearing my favourite shirt. Love the pattern and all the colours! I wear it pretty often.
