PA Shopping Day

Hello there! Today my mom and I went out to Mifflinburg and Lewisburg, PA to do some shopping. We usually go out together two times a year, but this year we are going three times; we'll go back one more time in September. I got a few pieces from The Stamm House, my favorite store out there. I have a lot of pieces from them now. They do vintage reproduction decorations, mainly holiday decorations, but today I also got a gnome and a monkey there, which obviously aren't "holiday" decorations. They create all the pieces in their workshop in their house (their store is also in their house); they buy vintage molds, and create the item, and then handpaint them. My mom and I always have a fun time going out there. My mom also brought her dog, Heidi today. Heidi slept at my feet/on my feet the whole time.      
I'm going to be cleaning, doing laundry, running to Target, and not much else today. It's hot and humid out, yet again. But, I'm not complaining! I do wish the humidity would die down, but otherwise, I am loving the hot weather. Wish I lived closer to the beach though!

Unicorn Dreams Really Do Come True!

Hello there! Can NOT wait for this work week to be over already. Today felt like a Friday, which really sucks for me for tomorrow. We are supposed to be getting our first real snowfall of the season this weekend. Unfortunately for my husband that means he won't have much of a weekend. I feel bad for him! Last winter almost every single time we had major snowfall it was on a weekend. I'm just glad I won't have to drive to work in it! Driving in snow/ice is one of my biggest fears, and I avoid it as much as I can. I'm meeting my friend for a drink tomorrow night, but I'm sure the rest of the weekend will be spent indoors.
Well, in very exiting news (to me at least!), my most sought after and desired dress ever arrived to my apartment tonight! By the time I wanted the dress, it was out of production, so I bought the only thing left in the print, when I was in New Orleans on my honeymoon. I bought a bolero, to wear with red dresses, and I do love the bolero...but, I still desired a dress in the rockets print something fierce! I kept my eyes opening for a year and a half, all over the internet, and I finally lucked out! A girl that is in the Trashy Diva Faxebook group I'm in messaged me, and offered it to me!  It was the size that I wear in the Annette style (the dress I got is the Annette style). It's now my third Annette. This dress actually is easier to zip than my other two, which is great for my husband, ha! I just love it soooo much, and am so over the moon that she's finally mine!

Lovely Long Weekend

Hello there! I am SUPER excited for my four day weekend! I have been counting down for quite awhile now, ha. I don't have a ton planned, but I'm happy about that. I like to relax a lot during long weeknds like this.Tonight we are putting up the tree, and I'll probably start decorating it, and finish Thursday or Friday. I think we are also going to watch "White Christmas", my favorite Christmas movie. Bob saw it for the first time last year, when I showed it to him. I couldn't believe he hadn't seen it before, but luckily he liked it, ha. I'm looking forward to having some drinks with Bob, watching the movie, and staying up (a little) late. It's a great kick-off to the long weekend, although Bob works Friday.
Tomorrow I'll be meeting my parents are my great uncle's to visit him for a bit, then we are headed to my grandparent's house for the main event, and after that we are heading to my dad's cousin's house to visit them. It's not much traveling for me though, because they all live within 15 minutes of me. Bob's going to his aunt & uncle's house. Saturday night I'll be going out with Bob and some friends, to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday.

It's bright, without being crazy bright, and it pairs so well with my many red and yellow shoes and accessories!

Big Polka Dots

Hello there! I'm not doing too much today, just reading, working out, and watching TV/relaxing with Bob. I may run to Marshall's and Target, too. The next two nights I'm meeting up with a friend (different friend each night), which will be nice.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my Hell Bunny polka dot dresses. I bought this one from Modern Pinup over a year ago. I don't wear it that often, and I'm not sure why. I adore this shade of blue, plus I like the fun, bigger polka dots! I have two other Hell Bunny polka dot dresses with smaller polka dots. The fruit necklace I'm wearing is my favourite of my fruit necklaces, and the blue in it matches this dress so perfectly.

Poppies In July

Hello there! It's July already, and I couldn't be happier about it. Our vacation month! We leave in a week and a half. After counting down for months, it's finally very close! One of the very best things about vacation (to me) is overpacking my favourite clothing, and then changing at least once a day to showcase all my best outfits! Since we are driving this trip, I can overpack as much as I want. I'm also very excited that I just have to get through tomorrow, and then my three day weekend starts. I'm really looking forward to relaxing on Friday and also getting some things done. I'm going to bake chocolate oatmeal cookies to take to the BBQs with me on Saturday. They are one of my all time favourite cookies.
We had bad storms in the area last night. There was even a tornado not too far from us. I was woken up by super loud thunder, at 4 a.m. this morning. I love summer so much, but the only thing I don't love about it, is getting woken up by thunderstorms when I have work the next day! At least our power didn't go out at all.

Poppy Fields

Hello there! Happy weekend! We are going to get hit with another snow storm today/freezing rain & ice. UGH! Bob and his dad are going to have to salt & plow, so his family won't be coming over for dinner tonight like we had planned. I'll just be doing my normal Saturday routine of cleaning, laundry & working out. Definitely won't be going anywhere tonight, due to the weather.

In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Hell Bunny poppy dress, from the Spring 2015 line. I hardly have any florals in my wardrobe, in fact this is only my third floral piece. I really love the print, the colours, and the shape of the dress. I didn't have any off-shoulder dresses before this one. I can wear it with a cropped cardigan to work. Maybe if I keep wearing my Spring-y looking outfits (especially the florals!) it will usher in the season?! *Wishful thinking!* 
In the first picture below is a new Trashy Diva dress that someone took a picture of in a window display. I need this dress! I don't own any TD dresses in the Honey style. I really like how the top part of the dress is solid red, and I love all the colours in the dress! I don't own any Asian prints, and I think this one is lovely. I also love that shade of blue. I hope it hits the website soon.
It's been so long that we have been stuck in this artic/polar freeze, that it's so hard to remember what it felt like to NOT be constantly freezing, even with multiple layers. It's 6 degrees outside, and that's not factoing in the windchill. I've always hated Winter, but these past two Winters have been extreme (record setting) in cold and snow and ice, and it's really giving me the itch to move south. Now, if only I could convince my husband! (We've been married eight months today, by the way!)
