Hello there! I'm not going to be doing too much today; staying home and enjoying the day. This coming week I have a four day weekend (not working Thursday or Friday), so I'm very excited for that. I have an errand to run Thursday morning, and then Thursday evening I'm meeting up with a couple of friends. Friday is open thus far, and I'm happy to just relax at home that day.
Yesterday Bob and I headed to Bethlehem to go out to eat and have drinks for our 2nd anniversary. We also took a walk down Main Street there, and went to The Moravian Book Shop. I bought a really cute dish towel there and a book there. Dinner was great, as it always is at Brew Works. After dinner, we sat at the bar for a bit, and had a couple of drinks. The weather was perfect for walking; it was sunny and hot, but not too hot or humid. There were a lot of people eating dinner on the sidewalk at the restaurants that have outdoor seating.
I wore my beloved Trashy Diva Lena picnic dress for the occassion. I got it last summer, and it's one of my favorite dresses to wear in the summertime.
I really liked how my hair turned out yesterday. I posted close up pics below. I washed my hair yesterday and dryed it, and then put hot rollers in it, and kept them in for about forty minutes, and then brushed my hair a little bit, and put tons of hairspray in it. After just a little bit, my hair was already not holding completly, which surprises me, because my hair holds curl really well, but it still looked decent I thought.

Feeling Blue
Hello there! We didn't end up going to the city today. It's gorgeous out though, so I'm hoping we'll do something outside. Last night I went over my parent's house for awhile, to celebrate Father's Day a little early. I'll be going back there this Wednesday with Bob, because my sister will be home from Nashville then, and we're going to have dinner with her.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Pin Up Girl Clothing bright blue Harley dress. I always wear it paired with my bright orange belt that came with my PUG oranges Jenny dress. I love the two colors together; I think they give off a tropical feel. This is my absolute favorite shade of blue. I really love how Harleys look on me; I also have one in coral, and am thinking about getting the red. I have so many red dresses though, so that's why I haven't bought it yet.
I got this bracelet at an antique mall in Adamstown, PA back in the fall. I love the fun print and bright colors on it, and it matches my outfit quite well.

Mahjong
Hello there! One month from today we leave to go on our southern road trip, but who's counting, right? I may be just *a little bit excited* to check out major southern cities that both Bob and I have never been to before! I love cities, and I love the south, so I have a feeling I'm really going to enjoy this trip! I can't wait to see the GORGEOUS big old houses with wraparond porches! *Sigh*...I'd just love to live in one. My husband I both want to have a porch when we have a house.
We are possibly heading to the city for the day on Saturday! We haven't been in a year, and I have been wanting to go back. Bob is not a fan of going there, mostly because of how much traveling we have to do to get there, and then the additional traveling around the city once we're there. Whether we end up going or not on Saturday, we'll be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary this weekend. Time flies when you're having fun!
We went to Adamstown, PA last Sunday, and I posted some pictures below. It's the "antique capital of the US". There are a ton of antique malls. I only bought one item: an antique bar cart. Bob actually paid for most of it for my anniversary gift. I'd been wanting an antique bar cart for a long time, so I'm happy to have one now! It's in good condition, too.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Trashy Diva mahjong print dress. I received the dress yesterday, and I love it. It's the Annette style, and I now have five Annette dresses. They're my favorite TD style. I ordered a size up in this one, to give myself a little room at the bust, since two of my others in cotton voile (that's the material this one is made of) are very tight in the bust. I do have a little room at the bust, so I'm happy about that. I had also ordered this print in their new shirtwaist style dress, but it didn't quite work on me, so back it goes. I like that the background color of the dress is white; I think it makes it great for summer, plus I like lighter backgrounds on dresses in general.

500th Post!
Hello there! Wow, this is my 500th blog post! Kind of hard to believe it, but I hit 500 after blogging for a little over three years! When I first started blogging, I had no idea how long I'd be doing it for. I'm glad I've kept it up (I've never taken a break from it); I still enjoy doing it, and that's what matters. My style has changed somewhat since then; I still wear tons of bright colors, but back then I was still wearing some Express brand clothing, mixed in with Modcloth (I had just discovered Modcloth!), and had yet to discover Pin Up Girl Clothing, Bernie Dexter, or Trashy Diva!
I found out about my now favorite brands from seeing girls on Instagram wearing them, and wearing those brands on their blogs. I'm so grateful for these mediums, because I don't know how else I would've discovered my now favorite brands that I now can't imagine not wearing! I feel so wonderful wearing the clothing in my wardrobe, and I love creating outfits with my shoes, purses, and accessories. It's expression of who I am on the inside, basically a 1950's Rainbow Brite! I'm an optimistic, happy person by nature (I come by it naturally, as my mom is, too), and maybe that's part of why I've always been so drawn to bright colors and prints.
I want to take a momeny to thank the people who read my blog! I'm glad I've found a community of lovely, stylish ladies through blogging and Instagram, who inspire me, and make me feel not alone when it comes to my fashion interests!
Okay, on to the outfit pictures below. I'm wearing my new Retrospec'd Connie dress in Gay Parisi, which I got from Unique Vintage during their 20% off Memorial Day sale. Who doesn't love a sale?! The color scheme is amazing in this dress! I thought my lavendar BAITs would match perfectly, and they do! The dress is big on the waist in me, but fits well in the bust, and there isn't any gaping with the buttons, which is great. Retrospec'd is being carried in a lot more U.S. stores recently, which makes me happy! They are an Australian brand, and I bought my first dress of theirs at Viva Las Vegas this year. They choose wonderful vintage inspired prints.

Tutti Frutti (Again!)
Hello there! I don't have too much going on this week, but I'm very excited for the weekend. Sunday Bob and I are going to Adamstown, Pennsylvania for the day, to do lots of antiquing. We haven't been since October. He's definitely not into it like I am, but he puts up with going places I want to go once in awhile, ha. Saturday I'll be doing a lot of relaxing.
I got the below dress from New York & Company, a store I hadn't shopped at in many years. I never browse their website or go to the mall, but, when I saw some ladies rocking this dress (or the navy verison of it) on their blogs and on Instagram, I had to go check it out online. I waited a month or so since I first saw it to make the plunge, but I'm glad I decided to go for it! It was only $50, and there was free shipping. It's really good quality, and I love how vibrant the print is. I clearly have a lot of fruit prints, I think I have more of them than any other print in my closet. This dress is perfect for work too; I don't even need to wear a bandeau, which is another perk!

Red Doris
Hello there! Today I'll just be hanging at home. This coming Sunday Bob and I will be heading to Adamstown, PA to go antiquing. We went there together back in October; it was his first time there, and my first time going with him. I had been years ago as a child many times, when my parents dragged my sister and me there, ha. It's known as the "antique capital of the US". There are tons of antique malls there. The vendor I bought the necklace from in the pictures below, she is actually holding another fruity necklace for me, and I'm excited to pick it up from her. Our wedding anniversary is coming up on June 21, so we are going to Adamstown and the following weekend to NYC for the day, to celebrate.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a new to me Trashy Diva Doris dress. It's my first dress in the Doris style. This dress hasn't been made in years, so it was hard to track down, but I finally did through the Trashy Diva Facebook group I'm in! It's a great basic dress, perfect for accessorizing to add some punch to it. I obviously am a huge fan of novelty prints, but I also like having some solid dresses, and most of my solid dresses are red. This taco wristlet is seriously the best! I used it yesterday when I went shopping in PA with my mom. Betsey Johnson makes the cutest purses/wristlets! I want the new avocado one, too, ha. The brooch I'm wearing in the pictures below is vintage; I got it yesterday at an antique mall.
Dress: Facebook Group (Trashy Diva)
Necklace, Brooch: Vendors at an antique mall
Wristlet: eBay (Betsey Johnson)

PA Shopping Day
Hello there! Today my mom and I went out to Mifflinburg and Lewisburg, PA to do some shopping. We usually go out together two times a year, but this year we are going three times; we'll go back one more time in September. I got a few pieces from The Stamm House, my favorite store out there. I have a lot of pieces from them now. They do vintage reproduction decorations, mainly holiday decorations, but today I also got a gnome and a monkey there, which obviously aren't "holiday" decorations. They create all the pieces in their workshop in their house (their store is also in their house); they buy vintage molds, and create the item, and then handpaint them. My mom and I always have a fun time going out there. My mom also brought her dog, Heidi today. Heidi slept at my feet/on my feet the whole time.
I'm going to be cleaning, doing laundry, running to Target, and not much else today. It's hot and humid out, yet again. But, I'm not complaining! I do wish the humidity would die down, but otherwise, I am loving the hot weather. Wish I lived closer to the beach though!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Hell Bunny poppy print dress. I'm not as into the brand as I used to be, and have sold some of my dresses, but I really love this one. Poppies are gorgeous flowers.
Dress: Modernpinup.com (Hell Bunny)
