Strawberry Fields

Hello there! It's another gorgeous day outside. Hopefully I can take some more outside outfit pictures today. Today's going to be a pretty typical quiet Sunday at home for us. Wednesday we'll be going to Panera for dinner with my grandmother, for her 88th birthday. My parents are on vacation right now, or else they'd come with us.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Modcloth Bea & Dot strawberry skirt that I snagged on eBay recently. I missed the skirt when it was on the Modcloth website (it's since sold out). I'm so glad I was able to fianlly find it on eBay! I obviously love a good food print, and this skirt is no exception. I love the pairing of my strawberry brooch & necklace with this skirt. It's probably "overboard" to some people, but definitely not to me! I pair this white Pin Up Girl Clothing peasant top with so many skirts. I love the structure of the top, and it's quite comfortable. I also have it in lime green, which obviously doesn't match nearly as many of my skirts. I really wish PUG would hurry up & restock the shirt in red & pink in my size, because I definitely need those colours, too!

More Red Waterlilies

Hello there! Yay, the weekend is here, and the weather is just perfect again! It's sunny & warm, but not humid or too warm. Bob is working today, and I'll be home doing my chores. I went out for a drink in town last night, with my good friend.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new to me Trashy Diva Red Waterlilies Sweetie dress. I adore this print so much. I just love yellow & red paired together. I lreally love these bold buttons, too! I got the dress from a TD Facebook group. It's big on me though, as I knew it would be, since it's a bigger size than I normally wear in TD. But, this dress is very hard to find, so that's why I went for it. The matching belt that came with the dress didn't define my waist enough, so I paired this black belt with it. My brooch blends right into the dress! I usually wear 1950's style/shapes of dresses & skirts, but I also love some 1940's shapes, and this dress is a perfect 1940's style! I have this same print in another TD dress, the L'Amour style. I think the L'Amour is more flattering on me. But, it's nice to have this option as well, to wear to work without any cardigan or bandeau.

Red Lana

Hello there! I'm so glad that tomorrow is Friday! Tonight I'm just working out and watching TV/relaxing. I'm going out for a drink with my good friend tomorrow. I haven't seen her in a couple of weeks; she had been away on vacation. We usually see each other about once a week. I don't really have other weekend plans, as of yet. Bob is working on Saturday again. So, I'll get to clean the apartment, do laundry, and work out without any distractions, ha. He doesn't really distract me himself, but sometimes I want to stop what I'm doing and talk to him/just relax with him. But, I like to get my "chores" over with and out of the way by early Saturday afternoon.
Today in the mail I received the Pin Up Girl Clothing red Lana dress. I had wanted it for a long time, but missed it before it sold out from the website. I just bought it from the Pin Up Girl Clothing Swap & Sell group on Facebook. As you may have noticed by now, I have a thing for red dresses! This one is just gorgeous. The material is very thick, and it fits me great. I can never be sure if dresses will fit my chest, but this one zips all the way up easily. It's darker in person that it was on the website, but that's okay. I'm wearing the dress in the pictures below. I was wearing clear bra straps, but for some reason in the pictures they look maroon!

So Many Popsicles

Hello there! This weekend has been another sunny, gorgeous one. It was quite warm yesterday, but luckily not humid! Bob and I were thinking of going to either NYC for the day or to the shore, but opted to just go to dinner in Bethlehem. He hasn't fixed his car yet, so we didn't want to take my car all the way to the shore, since mine is pretty old. I don't like to take it on long trips, just in case something goes wrong. We decided not to go to NYC because it was supposed to be even hotter there, and we thought it would be uncomfortably hot to walk around & take the subway (it's crazy hot down where you wait for the subway!). We may not go to the city until September. We usually go at the end of September for my birthday.
I relaxed for a bit when we got back from Bethlehem, and then met my friend (who I hadn't see in awhile) at the movies at 10:30 to see "Train Wreck". I had never heard Amy Schumer's comedy before. There were some parts that were quite funny, but others that weren't. I thought it was an okay movie, and my friend didn't really like it. I hadn't been to the movies in a longggg time. Bob and I never go anymore, we just occassionally buy movies through "on demand" on our TV. The movie didn't get out until 1:00 a.m.! I haven't been out that late in forever, other than on vacation, ha.
Today's going to be a quiet one. Bob and I are staying at home. He's going to cook and bake for the coming week. Tomorrow is my sister's going away party! I can't believe how fast it came.

More Green Kimono

Hello there! I'm soooo happy that this work week is over. I didn't post a blog on Wednesday night, like I usually do, because I was having quite a bad day. I should've known it would be a bad day from the very beginning, because the first thing that went wrong was, as soon as I got to work and was walking in, I noticed I hadn't zipped up the side of my skirt! Thank God no one was walking in with me, ha! They would've gotten quite an eyeful. Actually before that, when I was getting ready in the morning, the button fell off of that skirt, and I had to sew it back on. Those were obviously very minor things, but a lot of other crap happened, mostly work stuff that I won't get it into on here. But, one really gross thing is: I was putting a notepad down on the ground (I was crouching in front of a closet), and when I placed it down, I put my hand down on a dead cave cricket!!!!!!! I HATE bugs and spiders soooo much, even dead ones. I can't even bear to move dead ones, so I had my co-worker throw it away. I couldn't believe I did that!
Tonight I'm running to Target & just relaxing at home. Tomorrow I'm doing my usual Saturday tasks: cleaning, laundry, working out. After that Bob & I are headed to Bethlehem to go out to eat. At night I'm going to the movies with my friend to see "Train Wreck". I rarely ever go to the movies. I hope it's good!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Trashy Diva Green Kimonos Anna dress. It's my first TD Anna style dress. It's my second TD dress in this print! I've never ordered two dresses in the same print before. I have ordered a skirt and a dress in the same print, though. Someone in the TD Facebook group I'm in was kind enough to sell this to me, and at a discount! She's a very sweet lady. The print speaks for itself really. It's simply stunning in person. The material is so light and airy. I wore it to work today, and two people complimented me on it, which is rare, because I work at an engineering company, ha!

Ice Cream Cones

Hello there! It's such a nice day out again. It's just so great to have really nice weather weekends in the summer; it's the first opportunity to go outside, and go on day trips, etc. My mom is actually at a Christmas convention this weekend in PA. It's a place to sell antique Christmas decorations, and close to 1,000 people are there. My mom is a HUGE collector of antique Christmas and Halloween items. It's where I got my love for holiday decorations as well, ha, even though I don't have any antique ones yet, except a couple she's gotten for me. Growing up, my parents took my sister and I to lots of antique stores, shows, etc.
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress I bought from Modcloth two years ago. It's a little shroter than dresses I normally wear, but I love this adorable print so much! I also barely have any green clothing, so this is something a little "different" in my wardrobe. I had to pair my Shoe Bakery ice cream flats with it! I love that my yellow milkshake brooch also matches it so well. I curled my hair for the first time since Bob cut it, about two months ago.  I really like how it looks! It's just tough to curl or straighten my hair in the summer, because of how hot our bathroom gets, and because of how hot it is outside.

Virginia Beach, Part II

Hello there! I'm so glad the weekend is here once again. I don't have much going on this weekend, but that's fine with me, after being on vacation part of the last two weekends (and all of last week). I've been cleaning, doing laundry, and am going to work out. Other than that, it'll be a quiet day/night; just going to relax/read/watch TV/Netflix. My sister and her boyfriend left for California today (for a week). My good friend is in Myrtle Beach now for a week, too.
Next Saturday my husband and I are probably either going to NYC for the day, or to the shore for the day. I'm excited for either one! I do really want to go back to Enz's soon, the shop in Brookyln we went to in June. They carry Bernie Dexter and Trashy Diva (among other great reproduction brands)! I don't of any shops nearer to me that do. I obviously like shopping online, and luckily don't have to make many returns, but it is really nice to be able to try clothing on first.
The below pictures are the rest of the pictures from my Virginia Beach trip with my husband. The bracelet picture is showing a bracelet I bought while on the trip. I really love the paring of bright turquiose & coral in it. It matches both my PUG Harley dresses so well. I didn't buy any other jewelry or any shoes or clothing! I didn't see any shops selling the type of clothing/shoes I am into.
Our trip just flew by, as they always do. I already can't wait to go on our next one, ha! We don't have anything booked yet, unfortunately. But, we may go away for just 4 days in early September. It's not set in stone yet, but hopefully will be soon! If we don't do that, we probably won't be going away again until March-ish, which is a long time to wait. We just love to travel so much. I'm so glad my husband feels the same way I do, ha, or that would've been a big problem! My parents travel a lot, so that's where I got it from. My dad's been to 49 states! He does travel for work a bit though ha, so that's a big part of why he's been to so many. I think I've been to about 32 states so far, and three countries.
