New Hope & Milford

Hello there! We had a great time in New Hope & Milford yesterday. It truly was perfect weather, and there were a ton of people in New Hope. We walked around, went down by the river, got lunch and drinks outside, and went in some shops. I snagged a super cute watermelon purse and a bunny beanie baby, which was on sale for only $2.50.The shop I got the purse from is called 13 Vintage, and the shop owner recognized me from Instagram, which is the first time that's happened locally. (It happened in Vegas, too.) I've been in the shop a few times before; it's my favourite clothing shop there. They carry Hell Bunny, too. After we left New Hope, we went to a brew pub in Milford, called The Ship Inn. Bob's brother and his friend and girlfriend met us there.
The area that New Hope and Milford are in is really beautiful. There are a bunch of small, quaint towns next to each other, with a lot of farmland, the Delaware River, a canal, and mountains. It was a really good day. I love taking day trips when it's nice out.
Since I didn't do the things I normally do on Saturdays, yesterday (cleaning, laundry, etc.), I'll be doing them today, and later on Bob's family will be coming over for cake.
The pictures below are from New Hope and Milford yesterday. I was wearing my Pin Up Girl Clothing bright blue Harley dress. I have it in coral, too. I just adore these dresses, so much. They are very tight in the chest/waist (probably my tighest dresses in those areas), but they are just gorgeous. I wish PUG would come out with more colours soon!

Care For A Cupcake?

Hello there! Today is such a gorgeous day out! It's going to be 75 degrees & very sunny. It's the perfect day to walk around New Hope with my husband, for his birthday! We are getting there around noon. It's such a pretty town, with lots of little shops and restaurants. I'm sure it'll be crowded today. This is probably the best/warmest day we've had since the fall! We are going to sit outside and have lunch. I just love sitting outside as much as possible, when it's beautiful out. When we're done in New Hope, we're heading over to a town about half an hour from there, to meet some of his friends for dinner and drinks, and tomorrow evening we'll be having cake with his family.
I'm not actually wearing the outfit today that is in the pictures below. (I'll be wearing a Harley Pin Up Girl Clothing dress today.) But, this Modcloth Bea & Dot cupcake dress is too darn cute! I'm so glad I've been able to take lots of outside pictures lately! The lighting is just sooo much better than taking them in my kitchen!

Plenty Of Pies

Hello there! It was so nice to actually be able to take pictures outside this past weekend! It was so warm that I wasn't cold at all with a sleeveless dress on. After the record breaking cold winter we had, this springtime weather feels unreal! It's amazing that it seems we are all done with the cold weather. I'm even more grateful for spring this year.
Bob's birthday is on Saturday. We are planning on spending the day in New Hope, one of my favourite towns. It is supposed to rain though, but hopefully it'll end by late morning. We haven't been there since last July, and I've really been itching to go back there. We'll walk around the town, go in shops, have an early dinner and drinks.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Modcloth pie dress. I got it almost two years ago, and I still just adore it. The print is to die for, and I just love shirt dresses. I don't have very many though. It would be nice to find some more in the future. These are one of my new pairs of B.A.I.T. shoes. Their wedges are so comfy. I now have these shoes in three colours.

Some More Cherries!

Hello there! I'm so happy it's the weekend! I only worked two days this week, so that was one nice thing about coming back from vacation- that I worked two days and then have off again for two! Today I'm cleaning, doing laundry, working out, and just relaxing- watching "Game of Thrones" with Bob.
Right now we have free HBO On Demand, but it ends tomorrow. We'll be able to finish the forth season by then, and be caught up. We've seen seven episodes so far, in the past couple days ago. It is not disappointing! After we finish that, we're going to watch as much as "Shamless" as we can. We have two whole seasons we need to catch up on though, so of course we won't be able to do that before the end of Sunday, ha. We also watched the first episode of the new season of "Mad Men"! (And it was great, of course.) Those three shows are three of my very favs.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new cherry print Heart of Haute dress. I got it from the Enz's booth at Viva. I now have three blue cherry print dresses, ha! I also got this red cropped cardigan at Viva. I can never have enough of those. They are so great to wear to work, to cover up bare shoulders and such. Also in the pics below, is one of my new fruit purses. I got both fruit purses from the Rough Seas Designs booth. I had never bought anything from them before. I am obsessed with my fruit purses! They also make cute flaming ones. (And many other designs.) I'm using it as a clutch in the pics, but it can be used either way; it comes with a purse strap, which I tucked inside.
I'm going to do another post soon on the rest of our Vegas trip!

Vegas, Part 1

Hello there! Well, we are back from our trip to Las Vegas. We got in late Tuesday night, and went back to work today. We had a really fun trip. The weather was pretty great; during the day it was pretty perfect. Around 75/80, and very sunny every day. A couple of days it was also quite windy though, which was scary, because my dresses kept wanting to fly up!! I had to hold them down with both hands, while outside. At night it got cool out, and we were both cold. But, I didn't mind too much, considering the weather we came from here. The first day we got in around 10:45 a.m. We went straight to the hotel, and luckily they let us check in early. We went to Frankie's Tiki Bar the first night. We had never been before, and had also never been off the strip before. We took a taxi there and back. We were there for awhile, and really liked it. It has a low key atmosphere, and good, strong drinks. I don't normally like rum drinks, but I liked every one I got. Our eyes had to adjust to how dark it is inside though! I don't think I've ever been in such a dark bar. So, it wasn't a good place for pictures, unfortunately. I had also never been to a tiki bar before! I'm eager to go to more in the future.
The next day we headed over to Viva Las Vegas! We got there early, late morning. We didn't realize that not much would be going on yet. There weren't any vendors, and there was hardly anyone at the car show when we got over there. The next two days at Viva were a lot better. It was so strange/cool to see so many girls dressed similarly to me! Where I live, I never see any girls dressed like me. I don't like to stand out, so it felt good to blend in for one!
Our second day at Viva we went to the indoor vendors. I only found a pair of sunglasses. But, a girl did approach me, who recognized me from Instagram. Her name is Lisa, and she's so nice. Her friend Dara was with her, so I met her too. Bob and I ended up going to Frankie's Tiki Bar again later in the week, and I invited Lisa along. That was a lot of fun. I also met Miss Victory Violet on that day! She has a blog and is on Instagram. (Her real name is Ella.) She's from New Zealand, and was the winner of the Miss New Zealand pin up. She is sooo sweet in person, and even more gorgeous. I was so nervous to talk to her! I had seen her the first day, but was too scared to talk to her. I got up the nerve on the second day, but my heart was pounding the whole time.
The third day at Viva the car show vendors were open, and I got a bunch of great items! I got two dresses, two purses, a belt, two hair pieces, two cropped cardis, and two tank tops. There were also a lot more cars at the car show that day, and a lot more people!! It got pretty crowded there. And we saw Miss Victory Violet win the Miss Viva Las Vegas pin up contest! She really deserved it.
I'm going to do a second blog post soon about the rest of my trip, but for now I'll post pictures below from the beginning part of the trip. Our next trip is in three months! We'll be going to Virginia  Beach in July for a week...so the countdown is on for that!

Miss Victory Violet!
