Hello there! I can't wait for the weekend. I don't have too much planned for it yet though, except that Saturday night I think Bob and I are meeting his parents and brother at a local restaurant for dinner. But, next weekend will be great; next Saturday I'm going shopping in Pennsylvania with my mom and sister. The first town we are going to is two hours away, and then the next town is a half hour from there. We are going to look for Halloween & Christmas decorations. Our first stop is my favourite store out there. They hand make their items, and they have a very old look to them. I have a few of their Halloween, Christmas, & Easter decorations.
The day after that I'm going to Bethlehem, PA with Bob for the day. We are going to eat at one of my favourite restaurants, and also I'm going to look for Christmas decorations at a couple stores. So, next weekend will be quite busy. I like that this weekend won't be busy, because I don't like having busy weekends in a row.
The lighting in the pictures below isn't too great; it was overcast when we took them. I had recently got this dress in yellow and white gingham, and loved it. I had been thinking of ordering the yellow and/or pink for months, maybe a year before I actually did. I suspected this size would be tight in the bust, so I sized up. It's a good thing I did, because it just fits in that area. Before I purchased these dresses, I hadn't bought anything plaid in a very long time. I do like gingham more than regular plaid though. And I love the shape of these dresses, they are typical Hell Bunny dress with the full skirts.

Hello there! Bob and I had a really good time visiting my sister yesterday in Connecticut. She moved to a different apartment in May, but still lives in the same town. She now lives in an apartment in a big old house. It really looks like it could be a quaint bed & breakfast. She lives in quite a pretty town. It feels like a small town, but there's a lot more things to do there, than there are in the town we grew up in. Her boyfriend had to go to NYC for work for the weekend, so he wasn't there.
When we arrived we got the tour of her apartment, and shortly after we left for a bigger town about fifteen minutes away. We got lunch at a restaurant/bar called Bar. I had been there once before with my sister, for drinks. We got pizza, which was really good, even though it was thin crust, and I prefer normal to thick crust. Just like at most pizza places in Connecticut, you can't order pizza by the slice. Actually in many states I've been in you can't find a pizza place to order by the slice, just pies, which to me is very weird! After that we walked to a nearby bar for a couple drinks. I liked that bar a lot, it was nice inside, and quiet. The bartender was very nice, too. Then we went to a vintage store, but I didn't find anything. After that we went back to the town she lives in. We went to a couple of stores and got ice cream at a famous ice cream shop. We got dinner after that in her town. I wasn't very hungry, so I just had soup and a pumpkin martini. The soup was alright, and the martini was excellent! I had never had a pumpkin martini before. We went home after that, and got home around 9:30 p.m.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Modcloth Route 66 dress. Now that it's a little cooler out, I have been wearing my cropped cardigans with dresses and skirts all the time. I have quite a few of them, but I get so much use out of them! I love how they look with a belt, they really pull my look together, I think they're flattering, and it keeps me a little bit warmer. I actually just ordered an orange one today, which I'm excited about! It's a nice, vibrant shade of orange, and I have been looking for this Old Navy one for so long. I finally snagged one on Poshmark.com.

Hello there! Bob and I are leaving soon to go to Connecticut for the day to visit my sister. It's rainy and dreary out, but hopefully it will clear up soon. It's about a two hour drive each way.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my three Trashy Diva dresses. This style is low cut, so I would usually wear it with a bandeau, as I am in these pictures. I love wearing red! To me solid red dresses are to what black dresses are to other women. I don't own a single solid black dress. It's just not "me"! Red dresses are my staples. I have three solid red dresses so far. I've also been told red looks best on me. I think my strawberry brooch is just perfect paired with this outfit.
I really wish there was a Trashy Diva store by me! Their dresses and skirts have such a great shape, that's perfect for my body type. I look online at their website a lot, but haven't ordered anything yet from it. I also look on eBay every day for their clothing, but some of the older styles I'm looking for seem to be impossible to get!

Hello there! Tonight I went to Panera for dinner with my good friend. Then I ran to Kohl's to return something. Saturday Bob and I are going to Connecticut for the day, to visit my sister. I haven't gone since March, and Bob hasn't gone in over a year. On Sunday we are hopefully seeing "Gone Girl." I really wan to see it! I haven't read the book. We have a theater five minutes away from us. Bob and I almost never go to the movies. We much prefer to watch movies at home. But, this movie is not On Demand yet on our TV, and I dont want to wait for months, since I've heard such good things.
The quality in the pictures below isn't too good; it was dark out by the time I picked up this dress from my mom, so we couldn't take pictures outside. So, my mom made this dress! I adore the shape of the dress. I have one other dress she made me in this same shape. I think in the future I will have her make more in this shape, as I prefer it to the other shape I have had her make for me. The other one has a straighter skirt, but I really do prefer a fuller skirt. The fuller skirt one takes another yard of fabric though; that's why I was having her make me the straight skirt one, it's cheaper!
I already had this same exact print as this dress in a Bea & Dot brand skirt I got from Modcloth! I just love the fabric so much, that I wanted it in a dress as well, ha! I know; I'm kind of wacky. It's just hard to find prints this cute & colourful! The best thing about this print is that so many cardigans, belts, jewelry & shoes match with it. I have so many options, ha.

Hello there!
In the pictures below I'm wearing another dress I bought with some of my birthday money. I really lucked out with the three I received so far, I love them all! I had thought about ordering this dress for awhile, but wasn't sure how bright it would look in person (obviously, I love clothes to be pretty bright!), and also wasn't sure how the sizing ran with this brand (Heart of Haute). The dress is a little big in the waist, but the chest fits. Just like my other dresses that are big in the waist, wearing a belt with it solves the problem! Also, I was happily surprised to see that the dress was quite bright, in spite of some of the colours in the dress being black, tan, and ivory.
This dress also is a great length. This is to me, the perfect length. It also has a nice, full skirt.
I love the cropped sweater and belt I paired the dress with. The pink and orange of the sweater and belt match almost perfectly with the shades of pink & orange in the dress. Also, pink & orange are my favourite colour combo, so I love wearing them together.

Hello there! I'm so glad it's the weekend, even though it's very dreary and rainy out today. We have barely gotten rain since spring, it's almost like I forgot what it's like to have a day like this! I don't have plans really for the weekend; it's going to be a relaxing one. Next Saturday Bob and I are going to visit my sister in Connecticut, for the day.
On a side note, does anyone ever watch the QVC channel on TV? I don't watch it because I like the items & am interested in buying anything...I watch it because it's hilarious & ridiculous! (And they are not trying to be hilarious...but, they are.) The hosts are so silly and dramatic about what they are pitching. And then, when fashion designer Issac Mizrahi comes on (he is on for certain segments, when they are spotlighting his brand), it gets even sillier! You have to watch, I can't do it justice. He is quite wacky and eccentric. But, what makes it even better, is he acts astonished at all the items in his collection...but, he designed them!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Modcloth record print dress. I got this dress with some of my birthday money. The dress was half off, plus I had a 20% off coupon, so it was a really great deal! Modcloth used to have a button down shirt in this same print, and I had thought about ordering it, but didn't want to spend the money at the time, & then it went out of stock & never came back.
I'm so glad I decided to finally get the dress! It doesn't have the best reviews, so that made me hesitant. I sized up in the dress, as a lot of reviews said it ran small in the chest. Luckily it fits my chest. I love the full skirt on it. I didn't realize from the pictures how full the skirt would be, and I was pleasantly surprised!

Hello there! Tonight Bob and I went to meet my dad & grandmother at Panera. My grandmother is going to California on Saturday; she lives out there half the year, and half the year lives five minutes from me. It's always sad to see her go, and I know she misses us a lot when she is out there.
My new Hell Bunny dress arrived today. I love it! I had been looking at it online for months, and finally made the plunge when the Viva La Dulce Marina website had a $3 shipping special. I sized up in this dress, to make sure the chest would fit. The chest is pretty tight even so, but luckily not too tight. As a result, the waist is a little big. But, I'll just wear a belt with it to disguise that! I adore the colour yellow, but it's not so easy to find yellow dresses. I don't like wearing mustard yellow, either. Luckily, this dress is a great shade of yellow! It's like a mid yellow shade, but not mustard-y. I really love the brand of Hell Bunny. It's definitely one of my favourite brands.
Another bonus with this dress is I bought it with some of the money I got for my birthday! I have two more dresses on the way that I also bought with birthday money. I'm thinking about also ordering this dress is pink & white. It's only $45 on the Hey Viv website.
I'm also wearing my new cake earrings in these pictures! I loveee them, they are so colourful & perfectly me. I got them where I get most of my food jewelry from, from the Etsy shop: Scrumptiousdoodle. The girl who makes the jewelry is so darn talented!
