Ice Cream Outfit

Hello there! Today I'm going to work out, and then get ready to head up to my parent's house. My one grandmother is coming, too. Tomorrow night I'm going to the shop I bought my wedding dress from to try it on again, since I left it to get altered last time I was there. Hope it fits perfectly, and I can take it home with me for good!
In the pictures below I'm wearing an ice cream outfit! I'm pretty much obsessed with these ice cream flats! I keep wanting to wear them. And this brooch is officially my favourite brooch. I love the combo of red, orange, yellow, & green. I'm definitely addicted to Luxulite jewelry! Luxulite is a shop on Etsy. I have three more brooches on their way to me! Katy is the lovely lady who makes the jewelry, and she lives in England. The brooches ship so fast though! This brooch only took six mail days to get here.

Beach Balls

Hello there! Now that I'm at my new job, time goes so much faster. At my last job, the days went by so achingly slow that I looked at the clock almost every minute. And I dreaded going to work every day. So, in general that made days, weeks go by slowly. Now that I'm at my new job, and the work days go by super fast, time in general is going faster! Which is good, because I'm so excited for my wedding, but more so for my honeymoon! Ha. 1 month, 11 days until the wedding, and 1 month, 13 days until the honeymoon!
And there's a huge difference with how I'm using my brain betweenmy new job, and my last. My brain didn't need to be engaged too much at my last job. At my new job, I really need to focus all the time; I'm learning so much new information, and I am always trying to keep it straight, and get done what needs to be accomplished. 
Another good thing with my job: the other day one of the owners told me she loves my wardrobe, and asked where I find my clothes! I told her I get most of my dresses at Modcloth, and I told her about Etsy, where I find a lot of my accessories. She had never heard of either, and wrote them down! I'm soooo relieved that they like how I dress. I was worried they might not think it work "appropriate", since my style is sort of "quirky" and very colourful!
Last night I went over my friend's apartment, and my other friend came too. My friend whose apartment we were at just got a tiny kitten! She's crazy cute and sweet! I'm jealous ha. Today I'm cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, working out, and going to Kohl's to spend some gift card money I got for the bridal shower!! Hope I find some great things.
Tomorrow I'm going to my parent's for Mother's Day. One of my grandmothers will be there, too. Monday I'm trying on my wedding dress, (I had alterations done to it) and hopefully everything is perfect with it, and I can take it home for good!

Junk Food Explosion

Hello there! I'm glad that we're more than halfway through the work week! Tonight I'm not doing too much; I ran to the library before, and I'm just going to read and relax now. Tomorrow I'm meeting my grandmother at Panera right after work. We were supposed to go last Wednesday, but there was an awful storm, so we didn't end up going. We've had such beautiful weather this week!! I love that I've been wearing dresses or skirts for weeks now, without being uncomfortablely cold!!
I'm getting married in exactly a month and a half!! I'm so glad that it's so close now. I feel pretty ready for it. More people have dropped out of attending the wedding though. (after they RSVP'd yes already.) And that's pretty annoying, since we don't have anyone else to invite, except I did send out one invitation today. But, that's the very last one. And we are paying for 100 people; at the place our reception is at you can't pay for less than 100. I'm trying not to get too upset about it. People whose parent's pay 100% for their wedding just don't understand what it's like to deal with this stuff.
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my all very favourite dresses. I've worn it a few times on my blog before. It makes me so happy! I love it paired with my ice cream flats, too. I haven't worn it to work yet. I may try this Friday. I hope they wouldn't think it's toooo crazy to wear ha. And Fridays are dress down days anyway. (I would definitely wear it with a bandeau though, so there's not clevage.)

Pink, Orange, & Yellow

Hello there! Today's been pretty productive; I love days like that! I worked out, cleaned up all the boxes, wrapping, etc from the bridal shower gifts, and put away what I could. (A lot of items need to be washed before we put them away.) I also wrote the thank you cards.
There's also been plenty of time today to relax, which is nice. And we'll be watching "Mad Men" tonight, of course! 
I had a great time at my bridal shower yesterday! I got so many great items! I can't believe how many things I got, plus I got five gift cards. Three to Kohl's, one to Macy*s, and one to Home Goods. I'm excited to spend them! I got a ton of Fiestaware; I had a lot of it on my registry. I can't wait to use it! My one grandmother also gave me two pieces of old orange Fiestaware, one was her mother's, and one was her mother-in-law's. I'm very grateful that so many women came, and that they were so generous to me. I'm also very grateful to my mom and bridesmaids for putting it on!
The shower just went by so quickly. I got there at 2:30, and people started leaving at 4:30, and everyone was gone by 5! Except for the bridesmaids and my mom. (The shower was at my parent's house.) I will post pictures from the shower very soon. After I left my parent's, one of my bridesmaids and I came back to my apartment, and she helped me unload everything from our cars. Then we went out to a local bar, and that was a lot of fun.

Shower Day!

Hello there! So glad that the weekend is here! Today is my bridal shower. It's at my parent's house. So, I'm going to clean the apartment and do laundry, and then get ready to head up there. The wedding really is coming soon, now that the first of the festivities is beginning! Ahh, it's so exciting. I just have a lot going on- getting used to my new job, and getting ready for the wedding. 
Last night I met up with a friend after work, for a drink. I hadn't seen him in about a month. (I worked with him at my last job.) My other friend was supposed to meet us there, but she wasn't feeling well. I should see her today though; she's a bridsmaid!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a dress that my mom made me last summer. I love it! The colours are so great, and I love the shape of the dress. Of course my ice cream flats are a match made in heaven with the dress! The fruit brooch I'm wearing also matches quite perfectly with my outfit. I love my Luxulite fruit brooches sooo much! I have four now, with one more on the way. I just think they are the cutest!

So Fruity!

Hello there! I'm having a quiet night inside, and Bob's over his friend's house. It's been so dreary and yucky out all day. And the temperature dropped a lot! It's only 42 degrees right now. I can NOT wait until it stays warm out, and we stop going back and forth between cold and warm!

Tomorrow night I'm meeting my grandmother at Panera for dinner, on my way back from work. It'll be really nice to see her. She had been in California the last six months. She goes there about half the year usually, and rents an apartment close to where my aunt & uncle live out there. Then on Friday I'm meeting two friends for a drink after work, and Saturday is my bridal shower!

In the pictures below I'm wearing my super fruity dress that I wore on my blog once last month. I am SO obsessed with it! I reach for it time and time again. It's of course from Modcloth, ha. I wore it work on Monday and luckily no one seemed to mind it. I didn't know how my bosses would feel about my quirky, ultra colourful wardrobe. But, so far I've either gotten compliments from them on my clothes/accessories, or they haven't said anything. So, I'm taking that as a great sign! I'm happy about that, because obviously most of my wardrobe isn't "conservative/normal business wear!"

So Much Rainbow

Hello there! Last night Bob and I watched "Wolf of Wall Street." It's three hours long! But, I thought it didn't seem like it was that long; it was quite entertaining. Leonardo DiCaprio is pretty good at playing the "bad guy" in movies! Today I'm going to work out, read, and just relax.
I can't get enough of this rainbow striped Emily & Fin dress! I bought it from Modcloth in January. Modcloth had first posted it on their Instagram back in August saying that it was coming soon, and I finally found it on the site in January. I was so excited! It just screams my name, since for me this is no such thing as "too much" rainbow! I love how the combo of this dress and my ice cream shoes, they look perfect together. I of course also paired this with my rainbow Francesca's Collections necklace.
