Hello there! It's a pretty typical Sunday for Bob and me; we're staying home all day, and doing a lot of relaxing, although he does cook a lot on Sundays, too, to get ready for the week ahead. So, I'll be doing more relaxing than him, ha!
Christmas is only ONE week away now! On Christmas Even I'll be going to church and going out to dinner with Bob's family, and most likely sleeping over my parents' house that night. I'll be staying all day at my parents' on Christmas, and Bob will come over in the late afternoon, and then we'll go back home that night. I also have a board meeting to go to this Wednesday, but that's all I have going on this week so far.
I'm very much looking forward to having a lot of time off of work. The Friday after Christmas my mom and I are going out to Adamstown, PA, where there are tons of antique malls. I've been there with Bob a couple of times, but he doesn't like to go there very often. My parents love to go though, and used to drag me and my sister there when we were young. The times I went with Bob I wasn't on the hunt for antique Christmas items or Pyrex, so when I go that Friday, it'll be a whole other experience. I know they have a lot of Christmas items, as well as Pyrex.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter paint palette print Kelly dress that I got about a year ago. I love this print, and the color palette is a bit unexpected, but I love how much orange is in it! A print that features a lot of orange can be hard to find, but it's one of my favorite colors. My Lillian Madison Designs brooch is the perfect accessory for this dress, along with my palette earrings I picked up from Thirteen Vintage!

Christmas Drinks
Hello there! Last night Bob and I went to my work holiday party, which was at my bosses' house, and was a lot of fun! There were five couples there, and I was meeting my co-workers' spouses for the first time. My one co-worker likes toasted almond drinks, and I had never had one before. I had two last night, and they are sooo delicious! They're really sweet, and obviously, have a strong almond taste. They're a great drink for Christmastime, and I'll definitely be having one again! I never had tasted Amaretto before. I'll need to buy some!
We couldn't stay at the party too late, because Bob had to get up earlyish today to plow and salt. I hate when it happens on a weekend, because then he doesn't get a real weekend.
He has so many hobbies he takes part in, that when he has less than a full weekend, it's annoying for him.
In the pictures below I'm wearing the outfit I wore last night. This dress arrived just in time for the party, but I was very annoyed it took as long as it did to ship to me. I ordered it at the end of October, and it didn't ship until last week! It's obviously a Christmastime dress, so now that limits my time to wear the dress to just this week and the next week (it arrived this past Wednesday). It came from the Etsy shop Violets in May 1945. It was my first time ordering from them, and I'm quite disappointed. There was no warning ahead of time about how long the dress would take, and the only communication I received at all, was when I contacted the shop finally to ask when it would be shipping, and then later I received the tracking number from them. I contacted them in the middle of November, three weeks after I ordered, and the response (with no apology) was that it would ship in a week, and it didn't even ship for two weeks after that. The whole thing left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and that's disappointing, because I love supporting small businesses.
But anyway, I do love the dress, and the pom poms are so cute! I got a lot of compliments last night, but I think I got even more compliments on my shoes than my dress, ha. I scored these BAIT heels for only $30 when they were on super sale from an online shop called Sidecca. They are a little higher than my normal BAITs, and last night was my first time wearing them, but they weren't uncomfortable last night, and my feet aren't bothering me today.

Oh, Christmas Tree
Hello there! Ugh, it's been getting colder here this week, and today we had a fire drill, so I was outside with bare legs for a few minutes. I refuse to wear stockings, because I hate how they feel. So, the winter is pretty rough for me, since I won't wear pants!
Friday night Bob and I will be going to my work Christmas party at my bosses' house, and am looking forward to it. I think having the party at a house is much more comfortable than going to a restaurant, where it can be hard to hear people, amongst other annoyances.
I don't have other weekend plans, and Bob will probably be plowing and/or salting on Saturday, unfortunately. It's always a bummer for us when snowfall and/or ice occurs on weekends, and Bob definitely gets frustrated by it.
We're getting towards the end of this work week, and then next week I have a 4.5 day work week, and then it's my Christmas break! I haven't had a break like this since college ha, so I'm really looking forward to it.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my newest The Oblong Box Shop skirt. It was released in the beginning of December, and I ordered it immediately. It features ceramic Christmas tree along the bottom of the front of the skirt; how could I not order it?! Ceramic Christmas trees are some of my favorite Christmas decorations, and I have two so far. I couldn't resist taking a picture holding my green ceramic tree. I love the bright retro ornaments on the skirt, too!
Denialle, the owner of The Oblong Box Shop is also an amazing artist and designer, and designs these skirts herself! I paired this outfit with my Erstwilder Christmas treee brooch that I got last year, and amazing pink and silver starburst Splendette bangle set that I got from Pinup Girl Clothing recently, and wear a lot.

Tiki Dream
Hello there! This afternoon Bob and I will be going to my parents' house to celebrate my dad's birthday. We're having triple layer chocolate cake with choclate icing, which is extremly rich and soooo good. It's my favorite cake, period. My mom makes it for all the family birthdays.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Pinup Girl Clothing unicorn that I acquired last week! I found it on the PUG Swap & Sell group on Facebook. It was new with tags, but a size bigger than what I wear in PUG. It is quite big in the waist, and the belt hides that, but I may have my mom take it in, too. I love the color combo of bright blue & lime; it's one of my favorite color combos. I already had this PUG dress in a different colorway, and also have a Retrospec'd verison of it. The Retrospec'd version is very similiar to the PUG dress, but it's made of different material. The Retrospec'd dress is thinner. So, now I have three colorways of this gorgeous tiki print! The dresses just scream "I'm on my way to a tiki bar to have some delicious rum drinks!" I really wish there was a tiki bar close to me. We've been to one in NYC, but Bob really doesn't like to go to NYC, unfortunately.
Frankie's Tiki Room in Vegas is our favorite tiki bar, and I can't wait to go back. It's our favorite spot in Vegas, hands down. I'm trying to convince Bob to go back to Viva this coming April (only four months away now!), but he's not committing to it yet, ha. It'll be the 20th Viva, and would be our third time attending. If it weren't for Viva, I'd be fine with skipping going to Vegas in 2017. Viva & Frankie's are really the only draws for me there anymore.

Drinks On Me
Hello there! Last night Bob and I stayed in, and watched TV and "Pee Wee's Big Adventure". He had never seen it before, surprisingly. My parents had it on VHS when I was growing up, and I saw it many times, but hadn't seen it in years. He liked it, as I expected. "Tell 'em large Marge sent ya!" Oh, such a silly movie. Did you know it was the first movie Tim Burton directed?
I'm staying home today, and doing super fun things like cleaning, working out, and laundry, ha! But, I'm glad to just be staying in today. Next Friday is a work Christmas party at my bosses' house, which I'm looking forward to. My husband hasn't met my boss or any co-workers yet. I've been there six months now. These six months really went fast!
But, that's what happens when you like your job!
In the pictures below I'm wearing a Heart of Haute skirt I got during a Black Friday sale. It's not available on their site anymore, but I think it has been restocked on the Pinup Girl Clothing site. I love this fun Christmasy print. Too bad I can't wear it year round! Christmas prints are the cutest, but it stinks that I have such a limited time to wear them. I'm trying to get as much wear out of them as possible, wearing my Christmasy outfits to work and on weekends. I know I'll be wearing one to my parents' house tomorrow, where we'll be celebrating my dad's birthday.
In the last picture below is a snowman blow mold my mom saw at an antique shop she was in this week. She texted me a picture of it, and I immediately called her to ask about it. It was only $10! She picked it up for me, and I'll be getting it from her tomorrow. It'll be my first snowman blow mold.

Cherry Blossoms
Hello there! Christmas is only 2.5 weeks away now, which makes me quite happy! Another upcoming thing which is something to look forward to when there's not much else to once winter has set in: the days will start getting longer!
Tomorrow after work I'm meeting up with a couple of friends from a previous job, and Sunday Bob and I will be going to my parent's house for cake for my dad's birthday, and my grandparents will also be there.
My mom stopped in to see me at work today, and dropped off some gifts she got me in Germany and Austria, including three lebkuchen, which if you didn't know, are beautifully decorated, very large cookies (I don't eat them, just use them as decorations), that are sold at Christmas markets over there. Each market has their own, and some of the lebkuchen will say the city the market is in, but they have other sayings on them, too. I attached a picture below of examples of lebkuchen. My mom went to thirteen(!) Christmas markets this time!
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of the Bernie Dexter dresses I snagged during Bernie's 35% off Black Friday/holiday sale (which is going on again now!). I have this dress in the Chelsea style, but am trying to sell it, because I much prefer this Lauren shirt dress style.
I think this print is pretty much the perfect springtime dress. The print is so beautiful, and there is a tiny bit of pale yellow in the flowers, so I paired it with this cardi. These four Bakelite bangles are from a set of seven, and they match the dress quite nicely.

"If You're Going To San Francisco"
Hello there! Last night Bob and I went over his parents' house for dinner and cake for his mother's birthday. We ran some errands after that, and then went home. We watched part of "It's A Wonderful Life", but I got too tired, and couldn't finish it. I'll probably finish it today. We also watched "White Christmas" this weekend. "White Christmas" is my favorite holiday movie. If you haven't seen it, you must! Same goes for "It's A Wonderful Life".
I had a very successful anitquing today yesterday. Bob and I went to a Christmas antique show abotu twenty minutes away. We had never been to this show before, but my mom recommended it. We got there half an hour after it opened, and it was very crowded inside. So, that was annoying, but other than that, I was happy to see how much good stuff they had. I didn't see any blow molds though, but they had lots of bottle brush trees! I picked up three of them, and had my eye on others, too.
I try to do a full walk through at antique shows before buying anything, in case I find something I love more than what I first saw, or I find the same thing cheaper at the show. I do make exceptions, like if it's something I already know is a great deal, and may sell by the time I get back to the booth. My first purchase I did buy immediately, before walking around, and that was a $20 bottle brush tree. I knew it was a good price, plus the tree was different than most I've seen; it was silver with ball ornaments strung throughout the center of the tree. Later, I saw the same tree at another booth for $50! I ended up also getting one ceramic tree (only $20!), and a basket made of Christmas cards. I posted pictures below of my finds.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Lindy Bop dress. It has a San Fransisco border print on it. I went to SF when I was fourteen, but I'd love to go back sometime soon.
The colors in this print are so gorgeous; reminds me of sherbert. This is the best fitting LB dress I've ever tried on. Usually the waists are huge on me in LB dresses, but luckily this one is only a little big, and while it's tight on my chest, the buttons don't gape.
