Blue New Year's Eve

Hello there! Last night Bob and I went to my work party, and we had a good time. We were there almost 7 hours! There was tons of food, and I was so full about halfway through, ha.
Christmas is a week from tomorrow!! I'm quite excited for it, and to have off for a week and a half. I have a half day this Friday, so 4.5 days of work lay between now and my break.
I have a board meeting this Wednesday night, but other than that, nothing else really going on as of yet, which is nice, because I was busy Friday night & yesterday.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Bernie Dexter New Year's Eve print Drive In dress. I originally had it in the black version, but ended up exchanging for this blue version as soon as I saw it. This is obviously much brighter than black is, so I'm happy I was able to exchange for this one!
This dress is obviously perfect for NYE, but it's too pretty not to wear year round. So, I'll definitely be wearing it for plenty of other occasions. I'll be wearing it at home this NYE; Bob and I are just staying in that night. How perfectly does this mint PUG purse match this dress?!  I had a feeling they would. I just threw this dress on and took pictures, wthout accessorizing, so for once, I am sans accessories!
This week was absolutely freezing out, so I wore these leggings under my dresses almost every day.

Fair Kitty

Hello there! Well, it's snowing once again...third time in 6 days. I left work a little early; at 3:00, and the roads weren't great on my ride home. I drove slowly, and didn't slide until I was about a mile from my apartment. I slid the three times I had to make a turn onto another road or into our apartment complex parking lot. It was pretty scary; I'm not a fan of sliding while driving!
We had a two hour delay yesterday due to the snow, and this rate, we'll be having many more of them this winter. A very nice perk of working at a school is the delays and snow days; so I usually don't have to drive in ice or snow, but once in awhile it'll happen, like it did this afternoon.
Tonight I'm supposed to go out to dinner with my family, and then go over my great uncle's to have his cake for his birthday, but now I'm not sure if either of those things will happen, due to the snow. If the snow does clear up soon, and the roads improve, Bob still wouldn't be able to go because he'll be out plowing. So, it's annoying, for sure.
Tomorrow Bob and I will be going to my boss's house for my work Christmas party. I'm looking forward to it, and there'll be more people going than last year.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Vivien of Holloway Kitty dress that I got back in September. It's the only item I've ever ordered from VOH, and I love it! It is quite big in the waist, but otherwise, it's perfect. I love the shade of red that the background color is, love the buttons, and the cute fair print.

Red & Aqua: Pair Made in Heaven

Hello there! Well, it's offically two weeks until Christmas! I wrapped all the presents I've bought so far on Saturday. I'm definitely not skilled at wrapping, ha, but at least I had super cute vintage inspired wrapping paper to use this year! The beginning of this week is going to be pretty quiet, but Thursday-Saturday will be pretty busy for us. Thursday night I'm meeting some friends at a restaurant & bar for dinner and drinks.
Friday Bob and I will be going out to eat with my parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle & cousin for my grandparents' anniversary (58 years!). My parents and Bob and I will be leaving after a couple of hours to head to my great uncle's house to have cake for his birthday.
Saturday night is my work Christmas party, and I may be going to an antique store in the morning, about twenty minutes from where I live, as well as doing my usual Saturday tasks like cleaning and laundry.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my very loved and worn Trashy Diva Americana dress that I got from eBay about three years ago, and have blogged about multiple times. I so wish TD would release new Americana dresses! I wear this dress to work a lot in the winter and outside of work, too. I'm wearing an adorable new brooch in this picture, that I got from a shop this past Sunday, for $7. I like how changing up the accessories and/or shoes with a dress freshens up the look, even if it's a much worn dress like this one is.
I just adore the pairing of red and aqua together, and those are the colors I'll be using in my kitchen in our home. I couldn't resist pairing my new PUG aqua (it's called mint online) wicker purse with this dress. This purse is great, and it is a little bigger than the PUG baguette style wicker purses, which I have two of. I wish the baguettes were a little bigger, too.

Tree Skirt

Hello there! Well, our weekend plans got a wrench thrown in them, becaue of the snow. It started snowing here a couple of hours ago, so Bob has to salt/plow this weekend. He really hates when the snow comes during the weekend, instead of during the week.
Last night we went to my parent's house for cake for my dad's birthday, but we couldn't stay long, because we had to get back so Bob could go to bed at a decent time, since he had to wake up early to get ready to salt/plow. My grandparents were there last night, too. My mom made her triple layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing that she makes for family birthdays, and it's the BEST chocolate cake ever. It's so rich, and makes me thirsty, ha!
Tonight we were going to go over Bob's dad's house for dinner, but that had to get cancelled due to the snow. Tomorrow Bob was going to go with me to a small antique show, but now he won't be going. I'm still going to go, though.

Today I'll just be staying in, cleaning, doing laundry, working out, and then just relaxing.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Oblong Box Shop ceramic tree print skirt that I got a year ago. Oblong Box Shop has such super cute Christmas print skirt. My reindeer one is also from OBS. I get endless compliments on both skirts. I have a smaller collection of antique ceramic trees: 3 so far, so I really appreciate this skirt! Plus the skirt is super colorful, so what's not to love about it? I get such a small window of time to rock my Christmas outfits, so I try to make the most of it, and wear them a lot during that window. I've been wearing my Erstwilder Christmas lights brooch a lot since getting it last month.

Tickets

Hello there! One more day of work to get through this week, can't wait for the weekend!
My mom has made over 2,000 cookies so far. She is the Christmas queen, obviously.
I started mailing out my Christmas cards this week; the big day is only 2.5 weeks away, can you believe it?! I have off the week between Christmas and New Year's, and I'm definitetly looking forward to that!
I haven't had too much going on this week yet, but I will the next three days. Tomorrow Bob and I are going over my parent's house to celebrate my dad's birthday, Saturday night we are going to Bob's dad's house for dinner, and Sunday we are going to an antique/craft show about 20 minutes away. I just found out about this show, and this one will be the last one I'm going to until the end of February.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Bernie Dexter tickets Kelly dress that I got about a year ago. I love the color combination in this dress. You can see my new to me lime Pinup Girl wicker purse I got through a Facebook group recently (it's no longer available on the PUG's site). I'm glad I was able to find the purse, as I really love the color lime. Lime isn't a color that's used too much in the brands that I like; I wish it were used more frequently.
I now have 3 of these PUG wicker purses, and I think they're really cute. I won't use them as an every day purse, as they're not big enough for that for me, but I'll definitely use them a lot on the weekends, vacations, etc. I love vintage flower enamel brooches, and now have a few of them. I got this one from an Instagram seller, but I look for them a lot at antique shops.

Grand Canal

Hello there! Well, the antique show my mom and I went to on Saturday was a success; I got a small bottle brush tree there and a plastic snowman that I had never seen anywhere before, and really love! My mom paid for part of the snowman, as a Christmas present for me. After we left the show we went to a couple of nearby stores that I had never been to before. They were cute shops, but I didn't get anything at either place.
This morning I went to a few stores, and then met my friend at Panera for lunch. I got some Christmas gifts when I was shopping, for my grandmothers and mom. Now I'm really almost all done Christmas shopping. Christmas is only three weeks from tomorrow! I can't wait to have off for almost a full week and a half. I am going to go into work one day, probably the Wednesday after Christmas.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my new Retrospec'd Connie dress in the Grand Canal print, that I purchased during their Black Friday sale. This shade of blue is gorgeous, and a bit unsual, and I LOVE the vintage repro print! As I've said before many times, shirt dresses are simply the BEST. I get tons of wear out of them, and I wear them to work constantly.
Also in a picture below is my new mint Pinup Girl wicker purse, that I ordered during a Black Friday week sale. I also recently snagged a PUG lime wicker purse, but in a different shape, as well as a lavender one.

How pretty is this color combo??!

Pink & Green

Hello there! It's December! That means only 3.5 weeks until Christmas! I'll be baking some more Christmas cookies this weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to the Oldwick antique show, and I'm so excited! I really hope it's as good as it was last year. Last year I got a few things, and I could've gotten even more. They had a lot of awesome bottle brush trees there, which are my favorite antique Christmas items to collect.
I've gotten most of my Christmas shopping done, but still have a couple of small things to get.
Sunday I'm running errands, and meeting my friend for lunch at Panera. Other than those things, the weekend will be pretty quiet; cleaning, laundry, working out, and a lot of relaxing at home, just the way I like it!
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Retrospec'd poppy print Sandi dress. I love big, bold floral prints. This dress is quite comfortable, and that's in large part to the stretchy side panels it has. I love this color combination of pink and green; I don't have much of that combo in my closet. My antique flower brooch I picked up this summer at an antique shop matches with the dress quite well. I love these 60's flower brooches, and have a few.
I'm wearing my petticoat in these pictures. I haven't worn it to work yet, and I'm not sure yet if I will. I do love how it looks with some of my dresses though, including this one. I think some dresses are just meant to be worn with petticoats, to give them that extra oomph.
