For The Record

Hello there! Well, the weekend is upon us once again, and I am very happy about that! So glad there are only three more days of work before my break. Tonight Bob and I are going to a family party at my parent's house. There will be some relatives there that I don't see much, including my aunt, uncle & cousin who live in Texas. My sister is home, too. In December we always celebrate my grandparent's anniversary. They usually take us out to dinner though. This year is their 55th anniversary. Tomorrow I'm going out to lunch with my friend to Panera, our usual spot. Other than that, I will be relaxing at home tomorrow.
I love the fun print on the dress I'm wearing in the below pictures. I'm such a sucker for novelty prints! Can't get enough of them, especially if they're also colourful!

Parrots!

Hello there! Six more days of work to get through, and then a full week off. Tomorrow night my parents, Bob and I are going over my great uncle's for his birthday & my dad's birthday. We're having pizza and my mom's triple layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing. She makes it for many birthdays (including mine).
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Trashy Diva Sweetie dress. I looked for this dress for months, and finally found it on a Trash Diva group on Facebook, in my size. It shipped all the way from Australia. While I love the dress, and love how it looks on me, there is a problem. Even though luckily it buttons up fine over my chest with no gaping, the zipper on the side will not go all the way up. Bob and I tried it multiple times. It's very frustrating! There is enough fabric there (barely), but it just will not zip all the way. This cropped cardigan hides it, luckily. I'm hoping my mom can replace the zipper for me!
I had tried to sell the dress on eBay a couple of times, but it didn't sell, so I decided for now to take it off eBay, and hope that my mom can replace the zipper. And if she can't, I may still keep it and just wear it with cropped cardigans. I just love it so much, that I really don't want to give it up.
I love how this tropical bird dress pairs so well with my tropical looking pineapple brooch! This brooch is definitely one of my absolute favs. It's so perfect for me, since it's so colourful and bright.

New Ice Cream Shoes!

Hello there! I'm so glad the weekend is here. One more full week of work, and then a three day work week, and the following week I only work on Friday. It's a much needed break. Today I'm going to be cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, working out, baking Christmas cookies, and meeting up with my good friend for dinner at Panera. Bob is going Christmas gift shopping with his brother today. There's no way I'm going! It's going to be crazyyyy at the mall, plus I don't go to malls anymore, I don't like clothes/shoes/accessories there. It's funny, because for years I went to a mall about once a week to once every three weeks. But, now I have no need to!
In the pictures below I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses. I'm glad I can wear this dress pretty much year round, because of it's long length, and the material is a of a decent thickness. I'm also wearing my new Shoe Bakery flats! I adore these. They took about two months to receive (they are handpainted), but it was well worth the wait! These will pair so well with a lot of my wardrobe. It's amazing how realistic they look. They are such talented artists. I'm selling a pair of Shoe Bakery flats, along with some other items on my eBay account. My eBay store name if anyone is interested: bristolp15.

Black, Pink, & Blue

Hello there! It started snowing this afternon and still is, but luckily my ride home was okay. This weekend is supposed to be sunny, which is great, because we've had so many gloomy days as of late. Saturday night I'm going to Panera with my good friend, for dinner. I don't have many other plans yet for the weekend. I'll definitely be making a lot more Christmas cookies though. I brought some into work this week, and gave some to Bob's parents.
Next Wednesday night we'll be celebrating my dad's birthday, and my great uncle's. My dad's is this Friday, but he's away in California on a business trip until Tuesday. Then next Saturday is a family party at my parent's house. My aunt, uncle, & cousin will be in from Texas. So, that'll be really nice to see them. They come here about twice a year.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Pin Up Girl Clothing harlequin dress. I have another one with a white background and pink, red, orange, green & black harlequin print. I prefer my other one to this one; it's brighter colours. And if you read my blog/follow me on Instagram, you know how much I love colour! But, I still love this dress, too! I adore how PUG Jenny dresses fit/look on me. There's boning in the chest/waist area, which gives it more structure.

Essential Circle Skirt

Hello there! Yesterday I wrapped some Christmas presents and baked some Christmas cookies. Bob and I also watched most of "It's A Wonderful Life." He had never seen most of it before! It's one of my mom's fav Christmas movies, so I've seen it quite a few times. I'm glad that he liked the movie, because it's also one of my favs. I cried at the end, of course ha. I cry at a lot of movies.
When I see my dad today he's giving me some packages that I had sent to my parent's house. There's a lot of Christmas presents that I ordered in those packages, so I plan on wrapping them tonight. I have all the gifts bought, except I need to get one more thing for my sister. Bob of course hasn't bought any gifts yet for anyone, except the one I picked out for myself. We are very different in certain ways. I'm a planner, and I do most everything ahead of time. I get very nervous/anxious if things are running late. And he is the opposite way. He does not do things ahead of time.
We're going to the airport in the afternoon; my mom and sister are arriving from Germany. (They went to Austria, too.) I can't wait to see all the wonderful things they got. I know my mom got me things, but I'm not sure if I'll be getting anything before Christmas. Only two and a half weeks until Christmas! I'm so excited.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my staple circle skirt. I love circle skirts, and this one is the perfect shade of red.

Viva Las Vegas

Hello there! My big/exciting news for the week is that last night Bob and I booked our Las Vegas trip! I can't wait! But, it's just under four months away. So hard to wait for it. We got a great deal on our trip! It was cheaper to go for six nights, instead of the five nights we were originally planning to do, so we of course booked it for six nights. We will be going to Viva Las Vegas for the first time! I'm very curious to see what it's like. It runs April 2-April 5. We will be getting to Vegas April 1.For those who don't know, Viva Las Vegas is the world's biggest 50's/Rockabilly festival. There are car shows, lots of vendors selling clothes, accessories, etc., tiki pool parties, music, etc.
Vegas is our favourite vacation spot. Well, it was for years. But, since going to New Orleans on our honeymoon, I think New Orleans may be my favourite, followed very closely by Vegas. They are both magical places, where I feel like I'm in a whole other world. It sounds corny, but I feel more "alive" when I'm at both of those places. I've always loved cities; I thrive on the energy and excitement of them.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my newest Bernie Dexter dress. Bernie Dexter is one of my favourite brands! I don't like to pay for her dresses and skirts full price, because they are on the pricey side. Dresses usually are around $156 and skirts $82. So, I'm also scouring eBay for them, and the sale section of her website. I snagged this gorgeous tomato print dress during her Black Friday sale! It was 40% off. I had been eyeing it for close to a year, and didn't want to pay the full price. Originally Bob was going to give it to me for Christmas, but once I put it on, I wanted to wear it right away, ha. So, he's going to give me a Bernie Dexter skirt for Christmas. Tomatos are my absolute fav fruit/vegetable...not sure which it is, ha. Bob puts them in a lot of the dishes he makes. And New Jersey is the tomato state!

Route 66 Dress

Hello there! Tonight I met my good friend at Panera for dinner. We both got broccoli cheddar soup with bread, as per usual. A new episode of "American Horror Story" comes on shortly. They didn't have a new episode last week, so I'm really looking forward to this one! Friday is Bob's mom's birthday, so we are going out to dinner at a restaurant in town with his family. I think we'll be going back to his parent's house afterwards for cake.
Sunday Bob and I are taking my sister's car to the airport, so she can drive straight to her home in Connecticut from the aiport. I'm not looking forward to that! I don't like to do things on Sunday. I like to just stay home and relax. Also, flights at Newark rarely get in on time. Just really hope it's not delayed long.
They have started playing the cheesy Christmas movies on the Halmark and Lifetime channels. I may have watched some this weekend...And also TLC  just started playing the shows about people who go crazy decorating for Christmas. I loveee to watch those shows, ha!
I have three more weeks of work, and then I'm off for a full week. Soooo excited! I wish it would hurry up already.
In the pictures below I'm wearing my Modcloth Route 66 dress. It's such a fun print. I'm such a sucker for novely prints! And more specifically, colourful novelty prints! And I don't have many dresses with a black background like this one! I don't have a ton of clothes that match this orange cropped cardigan, so I take any chance to wear it.
